Imagine paying a lot of money for having a quiet, peaceful vacation, but all you got is being woken up in the middle of the night by a drunk person screaming his guts out “GET THE F$$ UP””WHERE ARE YOU MOTHER F$$” and the hotel doing nothing about it…. In fact, when you call them for an explanation, they say they’re not even aware of it… WE send THEM the video of it, which took around 15 minutes, and made THEM aware… The answer we got was that person not being a guest in the hotel. I don’t know which is worse. A non-guest being in the hotel property screaming and threatening the guests, or a guest doing it, and not getting any consequences for that. Do yourself a favor and don’t waste your money and your time in this place. I don’t even mention about the half of the restaurants being closed, and the endless, noisy construction. Yet you have to pay full price for the room and the amenities.

Great stay. Due to Covid- much was closed including their signature restaurant. But the luau was on and amazing!!! It made up for the rest! Smaller crowd- spaced out and an incredible show, food and service. The beach is awesome. Low waves and amazing night walks while tide is low. The pool is nice and loved the chair reservation so that you knew you had chairs and didn’t have to get up early to reserve. And after a certain point/ are open again if unclaimed. Bummed the water elevator and swim up bar closed due to Covid. But the pools and slides were all open and very enjoyable. The dive pool was open and active! The ambiance and grounds of this resort are beautiful. Close to many things- drove to the top of the mountain, road to Hana and more. Many resorts, restaurants and boutique shops nearby.

Mahalo for staying with us and for your review, wanderlust7473! We appreciate the detailed review and your five star rating. We look forward to opening both our water elevator and grotto bar once county social distancing guidelines allow, and we are happy to have reopened Humuhumunukunukuapuaʻa, our signature restaurant, earlier this summer. We hope that we have the opportunity to welcome you back again soon! Mahalo, JP Oliver

Grand Wailea is the only hotel in Hawaii (for me) that when you walk in, you know you're in Hawaii! Most of the other ones, once you walk in and close the door, you could be in Los Angeles or Chicago for all you would know. Turbulent times for sure, and it has not deterred the staff at all. Everyone we encountered--desk staff, valet, housekeeping, food and beverage, absolutely everyone was wonderful, very pleasant and worked hard with a grateful attitude. Makes one feel encouraged and welcome. Can't wait to go back. (This was 6th trip)

Our whole family enjoyed a 1+week long stay at the Grand Wailea. The service is top notch and the concierge text service was my favorite part. The kids spent hours in the pools/beach area every day. Service in all departments was excellent. Will definitely stay at Grand Wailea again.
