Our room was very nice. We liked everything about this hotel except one. Just as we were tucking in to bed we noticed that a light switch for the ceiling lights did not work. Since the choice looked like getting dressed, moving rooms etc, we opted to pull the key out of the master light switch....which meant we could not charge our devices overnight.
Nice sized room, quiet, with a large comfortable bed with effective heating and cooling is a good starting point. A great buffet breakfast with a wide range of options is also of note. The downside was that I couldn't get the internet up as the hotel system seemed to have reached capacity. Also the sealant in the shower was turning a rather unpleasant black colour and the skirting boards were bowing out from the walls in places which doesn't bode well on what appears to be a relatively new hotel. An average hotel that is adequate for an overnight stay.
In regards to the overall cleanliness, ambience and amenities, I would rate this as a good 3-4 star hotel. However, there are certain things that are really disappointing. There is a concert at the hotel I believe 4 days a week from 8-11pm, sometimes 12am. Secondly, the staff is lacking professionalism and politeness. Laughing and sighing at guests, careless in room service and generally lacking a warm, friendly and hospitable attitude. Up the politeness game, and you've got a wonderful hotel.
We travelled from Cappadocia, passing through Ankara, and stopped here for a night's rest, before moving onto Istanbul the next day; the hotel is small, but it has all the essential amenities; the restaurant serves ala carte as well as buffet; there is a small sauna here; there is also a small gym; the rooms are clean and comfortable;
We stopped in Bolu on our way to Cappadocia and our group was billeted in Soylu hotel. The hotel was cute more of a boutique hotel. The lobby had cute and colorful furnishings. We had ala carte dinner at the hotel restaurant. It was not really that impressive. However, buffet breakfast was a lot better. It has a wide selection. The room was clean, clean and fresh linens. It has a gym and a sauna at the basement which the guests can use.
