Brilliant, peaceful resting place for a couple of days while on Camino. Beautiful quadrangle for relaxing chilled beer after a long hard walk in the baking sun. Most attentive staff. The restaurant had interesting different menu, plus the quality of the food was delicious.

The Parador de Zafra is located in what was once the palace of the Dukes of Feria. The building clearly shows its long and rich history, that is worth knowing, here began our guided tour of Zafra The building was originally a fortress, its spectacular façade gives way to a refined interior containing the nine original towers crowned with battlements, there is a guided tour every Sunday to learn all the details of the fortress The Parador preserves beautifully coffered ceilings, chests, ironwork, handrails and decorative elements from the old palace, it is worth stopping at each of the details The beautiful interior courtyard, in which it is worth having a drink after dinner, and the spectacular views of the city from the terrace are a highlight. The hotel courtyard is beautiful and a great place to relax and enjoy a drink or snack. The restaurant cuisine is superb and the staff wonderful. the castle itself is a delight to explore. The bed is extraordinarily hard and uncomfortable. The rooms are exactly as I remember them 12 years ago and although spotless and clean could do will a little updating. At least a more comfortable mattress.

A unique place to stay. The room was large and the bed was very comfortable . Make sure you climb the stairs to access the wall and towers where you have great views of Zafra. The parador is 20 minutes walk from Zafra Feria railway station. Prices at the bar were reasonable

Decided to book this Parador while on our Extremadura vacation. Very happy we did, ease of parking ,friendly and helpful staff, made our stay one to remember. Truly enjoyed wandering through this parador reading about the history and the views were also memorable

We had an amazing stay in zafra. The hotel is exceptional and would recommend without hesitation. It is spotlessly clean in all areas. Breakfast was fabulous, we have never seen quite an array of continental breakfast plus hot food as well

A magnificent building. Our room was on the extreme left in the main photo on TA. Because it was on a corner, we had two large covered balconies. One with loungers and the other with a table and chairs. The room was massive, with a beautiful ceiling. Spotlessly clean throughout. Quiet and very comfortable. A fridge and a safe in the room. We would definitely Italy stay here again. We had a lovely meal at Meraki, in the main square.

This was a first stop in a four night parador road trip - located by car easy enough and it’s an imposing convent conversion - in an old castle! We stopped in carmona parador for lunch on the way from Malaga - Our room was superior and had three separate balconies- hotel is steps from the main shopping street and the modern square off to the left - the old square is off a little further maybe 5 minutes to the right along the Main Street- we ate at Meraki restaurant in the plaza grande which is to be recommended dinner starts at 8.30pm There are several little cafes and bars there do some choice - we had drinks across the way in hotel plaza grande which was nice and waited to the tables began to fill at meraki ! Service there was excellent ! And they set us up well before 8.30pm We made great use of the amazing courtyard at night to drink and cashed in our free parador ‘amigo’ pass for drinks 30 mins after arrival to get settled in ! Breakfast at the zafra was excellent! Loads of choice to suit all tastes tea and coffee and hot food is ordered the rest is a buffet! To be recommended…

Memorable stay in a historic location. The parador is set on a quiet square close to everything. Beautiful patio and comfortable room. Easy parking. Great dinner. Staff welcoming and friendly. Would definitely stay here again when next in Zafra.

What an amazing resort. You are close to everything the rooms are peaceful and quiet. It is definitely a zen feeling to stay in one of those huge castles. The food at the parador was great! Staff was amazing and comforting despite it being during covid . Everything was spotless. Would definitely come again.
