Hotel's Favorite
This was hands down the best staycation that my wife and I have ever had! Let me begin with the warm greeting that the Front Desk offered upon arrival. Jazmine and April were the definition of True Hospitality during the check-in experience. They recognized that we were celebrating a "Babymoon" and welcome our newest family member! They recognized my IHG Membership and were able to get us into a great suite for the special occasion. Warm greetings like this are the best way to kick off a visit to any hotel. Melvin at the front welcomed my wife to the property and got her familiar with the property while we were checking in. Preston is a VIP Rockstar! He created the most special amenity for my wife with tons of special treats, gifts, and nice hand written cards. His specialty touch created a lasting impression on us and will forever be a great memory for the both of us. Michael at the pool was spectacular with his warm welcome to the pool deck, drink service, and positive attitude. The Concierge Lounge was splendid every morning / evening with the great offerings each day. This was truly a treat. We encountered Kourtney on our first night, she was so welcoming. Ness took care of us for the remaining nights and remembered us every time we came up. These small gestures of recognition go so far in making a stay memorable. Hands down one of the best hotel stays I have ever had. Your staff is a true reflection of the property and they exceeded our expectations in ever way. Thank you for making a quick staycation become one of our best trips of the year!

Located in the posh and upscale side of Atlanta, The Intercontinental is located in the heart of Buckhead. Although I have visited Atlanta many many times, this was my first time staying at the Intercontinental.
Upon arrival my guest and I were greeted by the hotels Valet and Bell men with friendly faces and warm smiles.
Just as I expected, everything was grand from the outside fountain to the sparkling lobby.
Despite Atlanta's freezing winds and the hotels sparkling stone floors and walls, the atmosphere was pleasantly warm and very welcoming.
We were checked in very quickly, and had tons of assistance with our luggage.
The room hosted a beautiful view of Peachtree and Atlanta's skyline. Although I prefer the modern and clean decor, I was very comfortable with the southern/upscale look of my room. It provided a Southern Elegance that really tied in well with the overall look of the hotel.
The marble tub, big enough to be considered a mini pool certainly delivered the luxury that one would expect from the Intercontinental.
Parking (we used valet) was not free but they did run all night long, the room offers a fully stocked mini fridge, while you are given the opinion to a full bar and restaurant downstairs. Is this the BEST hotel in Buckhead? I highly doubt it, but I will say that you won't regret your stay.
Overall the hotel was amazing, the staff was very accommodating and the experience...unforgettable.
It was a Privilege to share this experience, Thank you

Visit was 11-16 September 2022 for a business trip. Had a suite with two beds. The hotel is stunning. The majority of staff I encountered were pleasant, helpful and professional. I needed a change from other business hotels I had been staying in and lucky enough this showed up on our list. It’s nice to have the self-parking under the hotel and if you choose to pay the $35 per day, it gets added onto your room key so that you don’t have to worry about stopping at kiosk to pay which makes it easy coming and going. It was the first time having a door-bell at the room door. You could see the staff cleaning, and this is a place that hosts quite a few events. Loved the décor of the room and the setup. I have noticed that some hotels brands don’t have microwaves in rooms, but have put them in the location when ice machines are, which is fine with me. This helps me, when I don’t finish my takeout meals from day before. I would be able to heat them up for the next day. I’m not a big eater. Second issue was you give me a mini refrigerator full of alcohol that you can’t access unless (I’m guessing) you ask & pay for it. However, I wished I could have had a mini frig to store my leftover and dessert. I had to get a square tray put ice in ice bucket bag, tie, put it in the tub to prevent the melting ice from causing damage. This was to keep the other half of my lasagna from going bad, and to take to business site to eat for lunch there. Where I could put it in a refrigerator. Some rooms should have the option of regular refrig or booze refrig. Now credit is highly given for fitness area and pool area. Finally, I got fitness machines for my legs, arms, and back exercises. Not just weights, treadmills, bicycles, and ellipticals. The large pool area is very nice as well. The first night, the restaurant was not open and breakfast starts too late especially to beat traffic if you might have business in the area. Never could eat breakfast. Had to buy some jar fruits from grocery store. Hot water from small Keurig was all I could do. Overall, it was a nice experience in a very chic hotel, located in a pretty safe area. Lenox Square Mall down the street, along with nice restaurants as well.

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our weekend stay here. Our favorite part of the amenities was our access to the Intercontinental Club lounge . Overlooking Buckhead we received exceptional service from Ness an employee there who made the experience. We felt pampered and cared for . Highly reccomend . For a small fee you can add access to your room, they serve snacks all day and three meals .

In March of 2020, we were suddenly faced with rescheduling our daughter's wedding. The hotel we had been working with was unavailable for our new date, and we had to start over. The Intercontinental Hotel in Buckhead was the only area hotel that would offer us a generous courtesy room block, and we were pleasantly surprised at the rates offered. We were very pleased with their responsiveness and welcoming attitude. Everything from the room block software that helped us track bookings, to the swift replies on any questions we had made everything a breeze. We and our guests were treated beautifully during our stay. My husband and I were treated to a beautiful suite upgrade, which we really appreciate! The attention to detail was excellent and we cannot thank the hotel enough for their hospitality to us. Their location in Buckhead is great- you are in close proximity to fine dining and shopping. I highly recommend the Intercontinental for your visit to Atlanta!

Likely a nice hotel that seems to be trying to stay open while undergoing a major construction project. Restaurant is close, bar is closed, entire lobby smells like paint, temporary car setup is small with inadequate seating, it is a 10 minute walk to get coffee or any food. There is breakfast at the lounge upstairs is too small and too expensive and the staff were wildly overwhelmed. It also took multiple tries and finally 20 minutes in line to check out with one guy working the desk who spent almost the entire time also on the phone. The hotel also does not offer daily housekeeping which was a surprise to many of us there for a business meeting - most hotels I have been at have either added it back or provide it upon request.
I am sure this will be much nicer when it is truly ready for guests but in the interim I would avoid and stay at one of the many other nice hotels in the area.

This was a surprise "staycation" for me and my significant other and the experience was great. We received excellent customer service from all the staff. Due to the Pandemic, there were safety measures implemented. Masks were required and there was sanitizer stands located near the elevators and strategically placed in other areas as well. We felt safe during our stay. Also, the hotel was beautifully decorated for the holidays. We highly recommend.

We were very excited about our long weekend in Atlanta to celebrate my husband’s birthday. When we checked in, we had been upgraded to a suite. Cash, who was checking us in was great and made dinner reservations for us that night and told us what we needed to see in Atlanta. He is definitely an asset to the hotel! The room was very, very nice, the bed comfortable but even on the 10th floor the room was a little noisy because of the street traffic although it wasn’t so bad as to prevent us from sleeping, just a little bothersome at other times. We had dinner at the hotel one night which was good but there was an 18% service charge on our bill. My husband asked our waiter if that was his tip and he said no, the service charge went to the hotel. We did leave a tip on top of the service charge but never ate at the hotel again. We later got a $20 complimentary credit on the bill and never did figure out what that was all about. There is no cleaning service for the rooms but the hotel will do it if you ask so you are left with lots of full trash cans by then end of the stay and lots of dirty towels.
The worst part of everything was finding out my that my car had been hit in the garage the night before we left. We had gotten back to the hotel about 10:30 PM and parked on the lowest parking level. My car is always parked where at least one side is partially protected and the other side was hit. I saw it immediately when we walked towards the car. The paint is gone down to metal! So disappointed and of course the hotel doesn’t take any responsibility. It was probably some one that was at one of the events and had a little too much to drink! I can only hope they did more damage to their car than they did to mine!

This was my first time in Atlanta as an adult and the hotel staff really made the start of my vacation perfect, they gave me a complimentary upgrade, they also accommodated me with an early check in & a 4pm late check out which was great! The entire staff at the front desk was friendly and polite. The room was so clean, the decor was beautiful and the bed was comfortable. I dined at the Americano restaurant for breakfast my first day there and the food was amazing in taste, the service was superb our server did multiple checks on us to assure that everything was ok with my meal. Club InterContinental staff was amazing and friendly, Maeve McDonald recommended shopping and museums excursions near by to participate in, Quinntin Walkes engaged in friendly professional conversation as well as suggested activities to participate in as well some places to visit when I vacation in NYC since that’s where he was born and raised & there was one other gentleman I cannot remember his name (He’s middle aged Caucasian decent) he was great as well he recommended some near restaurants. Guest service staff made sure to follow up whenever I called to request amenities to be delivered to the room. The housekeeping staff both room attendant and house person were excellent in servicing my room as well as delivering amenities to the room when requested. I enjoyed the pool and the hot tub on my second day both were perfect for the weather. This entire experience was top tier I will definitely be returning as well as recommend anyone I know to stay at this property.

Their restaurant is closed. That was the main amenity I noticed.
I’m sorry I do not know if all bathrooms have deep tubs.
No. I believe you have to be 23 or older
We have never used the pool but I see no reason why it would not be open; however, to be safe give the hotel a call.
