My friends and I stayed at Sugar Magnolia's B&B in August and had a wonderful time. The house is an absolute gem, and the innkeepers are exceptional. Jim, Debbie, and Kathryn were perfect hosts and made sure we had everything we needed (including a "box of stuff you may have forgotten" like lotion, shampoo, a sewing kit, etc.). The home is full of amazingly unique decor, and the Inman Park neighborhood is full of quirky old Victorian homes that are worth looking at if you have time to explore the area. This place deserves the highest praise!
We travel to Atlanta annually and stay at Sugar Magnolia for the Inman Park Festive. This year had a variation due to COVID but was pleasant and relaxing. The grounds are beautifully maintained and this B & B was part of the garden tour. The B&B is amazing and the owners, Debi and Jim, give the true meaning of southern hospitality. Katherine is a gem and her breakfasts are delicious and a fabulous start to any morning. Just a perfect get away each and every year.
Outstanding, romantic getaway. We stayed in the Royal Suite and it was worth every penny. The staff is warm, kind and accommodating, the breakfast (quiche one morning, waffles the next, both very fresh and homemade, with fresh fruit and bacon on the side) was extremely delicious, the parking is free, the neighborhood is charming and walkable, the nearby attractions are great (Krog Street Market for lunch is a good call). It's everything you could want in a B&B!
We had such a pleasant stay at Sugar Magnolia B&B. We felt very safe and secure even though we were still in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. They were very upfront about their cleaning protocol and policies. Breakfast was served in our room. The room we stayed in (the royal suite) was large and comfortable. We had access to a private balcony with rocking chairs as well as a shared rooftop deck which we ended up using for our meals. The location was amazing as well. We had no issue with parking and we were in walking distance to many restaurants. We would definitely recommend this lovely B&B!
Went to Atlanta to see our son and knew we would stay at the Sugar Magnolia. We had stayed here before and loved it. The B&B was immaculate and we felt all necessary precautions were taken for a safe stay during Covid-19. The owners, Jim and Debi were very gracious. Kathryn wowed us again with wonderful breakfasts and southern hospitality. No doubt, this will be our go to place for all family visits to Atlanta.
My wife and I were visiting our daughter in Atlanta. We couldn’t have chosen a better place to spend a week than Sugar Magnolia. Great location in Inman Park short walk to the Beltline and the restaurants in Inman Park. Even better was the house. Beautifully restored home from 1892. Extremely comfortable. The best was the keeper of the House, Kathryn. Her warm inviting personality made stay a true joy! And her breakfasts were fantastic. Highly recommend!
I had the pleasure of staying at Sugar Magnolia for 3 nights last month. Could not have asked for better hospitality. Great location, wonderful accommodation and a fully cooked gourmet breakfast each morning, thank you Kathryn. Will be back & highly recommend.
This B&B was warm friendly & inviting. Breakfast was very good. The old home was decorated and updated nicely. The bed was comfortable. The neighborhood a few blocks away is run down, but it was safe to walk at night. Overall an excellent stay.
We have 3 or our 5 adult children living in Atlanta, so visits to this lovely city are frequent. Up to now, we have opted for a hotel just because it felt easy. This trip over the Christmas holiday was different...we stumbled upon this B & B on Airbnb and have been blessed to find the place we will stay on every trip going forward. The home is gorgeous - but you can see that in the pictures. What you don't see in those pictures is the warmth and hospitality that will come your way from Kathryn (the Innkeeper) and Josie (the home's very esteemed Matriarch - and mom to one of the inn owners). Combined, they make your visit delicious (the breakfast is out of this world), warm, welcoming, accommodating and joyful. We came as guests and left as family. And, we will be back!!…
We’ve traveled quite a bit and I have to say that this has been our favorite place to stay so far. From the accommodations to the hospitality of the staff we couldn’t ask for more. The innkeeper, Kathryn, is the absolute best of the best!
