We have 3 or our 5 adult children living in Atlanta, so visits to this lovely city are frequent. Up to now, we have opted for a hotel just because it felt easy. This trip over the Christmas holiday was different...we stumbled upon this B & B on Airbnb and have been blessed to find the place we will stay on every trip going forward. The home is gorgeous - but you can see that in the pictures. What you don't see in those pictures is the warmth and hospitality that will come your way from Kathryn (the Innkeeper) and Josie (the home's very esteemed Matriarch - and mom to one of the inn owners). Combined, they make your visit delicious (the breakfast is out of this world), warm, welcoming, accommodating and joyful. We came as guests and left as family. And, we will be back!! No need to stay anywhere else in Atlanta.

We stayed for two lovely nights. The proprietors, Debi and Jim were excellent hosts. The Bed and Breakfast treated us with great music playing from the Beatles and excellent pieces of literature on the ground floor. There is an evening bar to help yourself to and the morning breakfast is delicious!
Our room was beautiful with both a back porch and a front porch, that you are able to sit on and enjoy the neighborhood.

Outstanding, romantic getaway. We stayed in the Royal Suite and it was worth every penny. The staff is warm, kind and accommodating, the breakfast (quiche one morning, waffles the next, both very fresh and homemade, with fresh fruit and bacon on the side) was extremely delicious, the parking is free, the neighborhood is charming and walkable, the nearby attractions are great (Krog Street Market for lunch is a good call). It's everything you could want in a B&B!

Beautiful B&B. We stayed in the Royal Suite - sizable and comfortable. The bathroom has a double vanity, jetted tub, and a large shower. The bed is in a peaked alcove - we are both short (<5'6") so headroom wasn't an issue, but tall folks might opt for another room. The location is only a couple of blocks from the Krog Street Market & perhaps four from the MARTA station. The innkeeper, Kathryn, was delightful - warm and helpful with suggestions about the area.

This is a lovely B&B. Kathryn the Innkeeper was wonderful, so kind and very helpful (and makes a great breakfast!) Jim & Debi (the owners) take such great care of the property and the house itself is beautiful inside and out. I loved working on the giant crossword puzzle, they have some great artwork, a massage chair, a piano and an "honor bar" where you can make a cocktail for happy hour. We truly enjoyed our time there, and the bed was SO comfortable. It's within walking distance of a couple of restaurants and the area has some beautiful parks and homes in the surrounding neighborhood. There is free street parking by Sugar Magnolia which sure beats paying $40 for parking per night at a hotel. We loved it here and would absolutely stay here again!

My friends and I stayed at Sugar Magnolia's B&B in August and had a wonderful time. The house is an absolute gem, and the innkeepers are exceptional. Jim, Debbie, and Kathryn were perfect hosts and made sure we had everything we needed (including a "box of stuff you may have forgotten" like lotion, shampoo, a sewing kit, etc.). The home is full of amazingly unique decor, and the Inman Park neighborhood is full of quirky old Victorian homes that are worth looking at if you have time to explore the area. This place deserves the highest praise!

Sugar Magnolia B&B couldn't be more pleasant. It's far enough from the city to provide a relaxing and neighborhood environment that has nearby restaurants, coffee shops, a walking track, and a great donut shop a block away. Kathryn, the innkeeper is a delight to talk to. The breakfasts were fabulous, and always included fresh fruit and then an entree...fluffy waffles, everything bagel sandwiches, cheesy grits, and an omelet...just a few examples. Highly recommend this quaint little gem.

Our five night stay at Sugar Magnolia, a beautifully restored home in the historic Inman Park district of Atlanta, was brilliant from start to finish.
On arrival, we were greeted warmly by Debi, the owner, shown our immaculately decorated room, the free fridge for beers and sodas and the lounge with ! an honour bar and a grand piano.
Every day we had delicious, beautifully presented, well-balanced breakfasts, different each day and which set us up for the day. We also enjoyed sharing travel stories with other guests over the breakfast table.
Debi was concerned that we were comfortable and well fed, was full of useful information and stories and interested in our plans for the day.
We will certainly stay there again when we visit family in Atlanta.
Highly recommended!

This is such a great place to stay!!! The house is just gorgeous and everything is so clean. The owners were very nice and checked on us to make sure were enjoying our stay. Its location is fabulous in a well kept historical neighborhood and is excellent for walking. You can walk less than ten minutes to multiple food options, anything from quick bites to sit down restaurants, even cool places to hang out and have a drink.
Truly the best part about Sugar Magnolia B&B is the inn keeper Kathryn! She went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. Her incredibly delicious breakfasts and her infectious smile make for a perfect start to the day! She checked to see what our preferences were and has a knack for knowing what you need/want before you even ask for it. She was absolutely delightful and we just loved visiting with her throughout our weekend!
This was our first experience staying at a B&B and I’m not sure that another one will be able to measure up to this one. We were sad to leave!
We also highly recommend doing the modern southern food tour with Cristy at Food Tours Atlanta. You get to sample a lot of excellent food in the area and learn history about the neighborhood and beautiful old houses there.

This is a fantastic place to stay in Atlanta. We were celebrating a birthday and booked the 'Royal Suite'. The
room was such a lovely room with a large sitting area, 2 balconies, large bathroom and a cozy king-sized bed sleeping nook. At night, the nook yielded a wonderful surprise, stars! The neighbourhood surrounding this BNB had many restaurants that you could walk to. This area also has many wonderful old houses that are from an era of when craftsmanship was very important to house builders. Not far from Downtown Atlanta, this BNB is located perfectly for exploring this city. We cannot say enough good things about the Innkeeper, Kathryn and the groundskeeper, Josie. Both ladies are very welcoming and are excellent at exhibiting Southern Hospitality. We really enjoyed Kathryn's delicious breakfast and delightful conversation every morning. We would not hesitate to stay here when we visit Atlanta. This place is highly recommended!
