Smelly, old and kind of creepy. This is another hostel but you think it's a guesthouse. it's not, it is a hostel. Creaky floors, bathrooms are old and yucky (rusty and old). Not the place I would stay. You have to go to the hotel to check in, which is weird and a bit of a pain in the rear end

I can't say I was impressed with this guesthouse. It had a long-winded check in process that involved us having to drive to another guesthouse 5 minutes down the road. The rooms were OK to get by and the showers were spacious. The main living room did have a smell which wasn't pleasant. The breakfast was also at the other guesthouse where you check in which wasn't convenient. Overall was sufficient for one night but wouldn't stay there again.

Stayed one night on our way west. Room was clean, water was hot and breakfast was ok. Wifi was a bit hit and miss. Shared facilities which wasn't an issue. Staff were friendly and pointed out a few things todo in town.

I understand that hostels are very common in Iceland and many people use them. If you drive, you will see young people hitchhiking, and it is a very safe country. However, I did not pay the amount of money I did to this company for a hostel. I was however, grateful to be put into their hotel which was not really even a hotel but a dorm that they use as a hotel. Which means there is no hairdryer, no phone, and the shower door was not even clean it had a coat of gross film on it, but was better compared to the bathroom that would have been mine at the guesthouse. The bed was horrible, we both laughed when we sank into it. Breakfast was cold food only and very limited and not restocked. The town is not one that I would take a walk around in day or night. There is nothing to see here. There are places to visit close by, but other towns to stay in. Do not stay here. Pass on through

Our ground-floor room was very small and badly decorated. It was like nothing had changed for 20+ years. The bathroom was also very small and had a very bad smell. The kitchen at the first floor on the other hand, was very spacious, clean and modern! We enjoyed our dinner and breakfast there. We wouldn't recommend it but if anyone decides to stay there, keep your expectations low.
