We stayed in the guesthouse for one night. The accommodation was really cosy and decorated very thoughtful and with heart. The kitchen and bathroom were fully equipped so we had everything we needed. We could also find lots of tips and valuable inside information about the area and great spots to visit. In the morning we booked a one hour horseback ridingtour out in a beautiful winter wonderland scenery. Our guide Luka was beyond friendly, told us so much about Iceland and her life up in the north, about traditional customs here and what it's like to have such a big farm and she answered all of our questions. She asked us about our skills in advance and adapted the tour perfectly, so it was absolutely suitable for beginners like us. After the tour we got the chance to visit the rest of the animals, sheep, goats an chicken and even went home with some fresh eggs for our breakfast. Luka was really flexible and we were surprised by the great price she made us. If you are up in the north of Iceland and are searching for a quiet, peaceful and cosy place to stay, with a lot of nature and spots to explore or even want to do a horseback riding tour we can highly recommend this place.

Very nice, both people and horses! They go above and beyond! Flexible with timings, we arrived a little early but that was no issue. Beautiful scenery, excellent service, friendly and helpful, reccommended!

Me and my girlfriend booked the 1,5h tour via phone the day before. Luka was super friendly on the phone. When we arrived 15 minutes late the horses were ready and we could start after putting on our helmets. We were the only participants in our tour. Our guides were two german girls who told us a lot about the scenery and the horses and took photos of us in various spots. We started slowly until we felt safe on the horseback, before we went a little faster on the road. Then we went up in the hills next to the farm. During the tour we were not in a hurry at all and after the tour they showed us their sheep and horses in the barn. Absolutely recommend icelandhorsetours!

We had an amazing time on our 2-hour horseback riding tour with Icelandhorsetours. Before we arrived in Iceland we emailed and booked our tour and the email correspondence was fantastic. Luka was extremely accommodating to our seemingly forever changing schedule. When we arrived, I was blown away how charming the farm was. While we didn’t stay in the guest house overnight, we did tour through it, and it was adorable, warm, and comfortable. If I ever go back to Iceland I would stay here in a heartbeat. Our horse tour was beyond words. No one else had booked in our time slot so it was just me and my boyfriend, which was really great and made the tour more intimate. Before the tour started we were fitted for helmets and had the chance to meet the horses we were riding. Then we took off for a two-hour tour through the hills around the farm. It was absolutely beautiful, the horses were so wonderful, and our guide was such a doll. She told us so many stories about Icelandic culture, how the horses are trained, what it’s like living on the farm, etc. Afterward we walked our horses into the pasture and were greeted by about 15 other horses. It was an amazing experience getting to pet and meet all of these amazing animals and lead to some of my all-time favourite photos of our trip. I still can't believe how beautiful the afternoon was. If you’re in Northern Iceland and want a more private, personal, and local tour experience, this is the absolute perfect place to go.
