This hotel is a gem! The employees are super nice and always willing to help when needed. Beds were comfortable, bathrooms nice, large walk in shower, great water pressure (important). Shout out to Leia at the front desk, super nice and super helpful when we needed to book a car service to the cruise port. Nice terrace for hotel guests on 7th floor with a view of the space needle. Restaurant on site was very good, we had breakfast there before we headed out for the day. I highly recommend when looking for a hotel the night before a cruise! Side note, great little coffee bar directly across the street if you are looking for a quick coffee.

I rented the whole top floor of the Sound hotel for a year end event for my team and It was just such a special and memorable experience. We had a specially designed and catered menu that was custom built with the chefs for the many food allergies we have in the team. The food was just amazing!
The space itself is absolutely one of the best views of the city that nobody knows about. From views of the Sound to the city to Lake Union. I don't want to share this as I'd like to keep it my little secret, but the views are simply unheard of for this new building.
The staff from the moment you enter the lobby to the servers for our event and guest accommodations were so generous and kind. I booked rooms for most of my employees as well as made several last minute changes due to scheduling issues and they handled it with ease. This is a true example of what you want your customer service to exude.
I couldn't be more delighted by the whole experience and am so thankful to Chef Jon, Chef Leif, Eric from catering, and Kaylor from sales. Thank you for such an unforgettable experience for me and my team. It will be so hard to top this next year!

Perfect location, great customer service. The gentleman who checked us in was so nice and gave recommendations for brunch and other activities. Room was spacious and clean and we received a room on the top floor with an amazing view. Windows were well insulated so street noise was minimal. My only recommendation is perhaps add a pillow to the leather chair in the room because it was a nice looking chair but so uncomfortable. Or even a small comfy love seat, there is plenty of room. Valet was $46 which is a hard pill to swallow, but standard for downtown Seattle. In our case, we’ll pay for the convenience so we have two kids in tow. Would definitely return!

I've stayed in a number of Seattle hotels and this one doesn't merit being the #3 hotel in Seattle, but it's definitely clean and quiet. Several things that diminished my experience:
1. When we arrived the valet made zero effort to help with our luggage. I grabbed the luggage cart myself as the valet and front desk staff just inside the door watched us struggle with loading the cart and trying to get through the double doors inside. One front desk person was not behind the desk and just watched us. Valet was quick to bring our car each time but otherwise never once opened or closed a car door.
2. You communicate with the front desk via text, which I did find to be efficient. However, several times I asked for extra sets of towels (specifically extra hand and wash cloths), and while the towels were delivered, they never brought the right thing.
3. Our AC unit cycled off and on every minute the first night we were there, which was super annoying. The front desk sent maintenance to fix, but the issue continued to occur. Until the final night, when the system stopped coming on at all and the room was too warm despite the thermostat reading 67.
The King suite was fairly good sized but the furniture was uncomfortable. The bathroom was massive but in a cavernous way. As someone else mentioned, the sink faucets are far too close to the edge of the sink, meaning each time you wash your hands you're running water on to the countertops. Vanity needs a towel bar to hang the hand towels so they aren't sopping wet from constant covid hand washing. The 7th floor that everyone gushes about is merely ok and could use some kind of bar service. Valet parking is typical for downtown, $46 or $56 per night I believe, bringing the nightly room rate to over $300.
I recommend the Hyatt Regency nearby for a nicer stay. And if you want exceptional service, The Lotte. The Sound Hotel is adequate but there are honestly better options downtown.

I stayed at The Sound using HHonors points over Mother’s Day weekend while visiting son. Because of my Diamond status, I was upgraded to a huge suite. The check in went easily. My room was huge, with a dinette table in one corner with views to the north of the Space Needle and east over the Amazon campus. The room was very clean and comfortable, with a large closet and a coffee/refrigerator station. The bathroom was gigantic with a double sink and lovely walk in shower (in fact, my son dropped by to use it). I slept very well.
We got take out from the on-site restaurant for breakfast on Mother’s Day. My Diamond status entitled me to $15/day room credit, which paid for 2/3 of the breakfast. There was a bit of a wait to order. It was ready in adequate timing, and we waited in the coffee lounge. Then we took it up to the room and enjoyed eating at the cute little table.
The hotel was well situated for our needs - near son’s apartment and Top Pot; also close to the Amazon garages where my son could park as an employee. We didn’t really walk anywhere from the hotel, but based on one previous stay (during 2019 Seafair; prime location for the parade) it is walkable to restaurants and other attractions, including both both Seattle Center and Pike Place Market. There was a friendly and helpful doorman on duty, and a key card was needed to operate the elevator. So good security.
The staff was friendly and polite, and I got texted each day to make sure everything was ok.
Only a few minor glitches: (1)one sink stopper jammed closed but I had another sink so was ok (2) couldn’t get hair dryer to work but I had my own (3) restaurant ran out of cream while we were waiting for our breakfast order and (4) trying to get a boarding pass printed defeated both the front desk and my techie son. Way too complicated so I did it at the airport.
Overall I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again.

I had an amazing experience at the Hilton Sound. An amazing location, with everything conveniently nearby, a welcoming and accommodating staff (shoutout to the individual who made our stay spectacular (Gustav)), and a clean environment. Our hotel room with view of the Needle/Sound was a bit expensive for what we actually got (the view was still cool, nothing to really write home about, but you can find a less expensive room with the same kind of style/feel)
The reason this stay didn’t get a full 10 is because the hotel didn’t supply the simple necessity of a microwave.
Now, imagine being out of town on vacation for your anniversary and all of the food you order must either be fully consumed at the restaurant, or discarded because there’s no legitimate way to reheat expensive food. That’s kinda insane. I didn’t even have the pleasure of popping a simple bag of popcorn to watch with a movie while in my room. We love to eat, and we sometimes don’t eat it all, but the amazing, delicious and well-worth it plates were pointless after the first day. We saw a lot of food go to waste simply because we couldn’t reheat our own meals.
As a last resort, we asked if the bistro downstairs could make accommodations to warm food, but with food and safety regulations, we were denied (respectfully).
All in all we had a wonderful time, with some hiccups that really could’ve took this from a seven experience to a full ten.

Had a very nice stay in a super quiet room at the Sound hotel. Front desk staff were awesome at placing me in a mural room, which was away from the elevator and any associated noise. The mural view was nice as well. Beds were comfy, but pillows were pretty terrible (I.e. too high). As long as the pillow situations gets fixed, I can imagine staying ere every time we are in Seattle for business.

Clean hotel. Large standard rooms including roomy bathroom. Comfortable beds. Two sitting areas for reading or if you have to get some work done. Has a bar and coffee bar area downstairs. Coffee bar also has breakfast sandwiches and baked goods - tasty and reasonably priced. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Location is within walking distance of nearly all major attractions w/in the downtown area as well as public transpo.

We love this hotel!!! Top notch service with superb attention to detail with guests and in the rooms. The hotel is beautiful, new and in a great location! Soooo close to everything in downtown Seattle - Pike Place Market, Space Needle, parks, shopping. We didn’t Uber (only to and from the airport) or need a car rental during our entire stay! The hotel also has great curb appeal. Cute, twinkle lights wrapped around trees and a valet/bellman at the front door to greet you! I’m a sticker for first impressions, esp with hotels, and The Sound Hotel does not disappoint!
The rooms are modern, well decorated, spacious with very comfortable beds. Very quiet and well insulated rooms. We never heard anyone, ever! Great lighting in the bathroom and also dim, comfortable lighting when you want to relax. Shower pressure is AMAZING with hot water asap. Everything was immaculate - no dust anywhere! The room was well stocked with everything you’d need - all the basics, toiletries, robes, fridge, safe, Keurig, cups, etc. and kettle upon request! FYI: You need to request/schedule housekeeping with the front desk ahead of time if you need service.
The guest service we received before, during and after our stay were outstanding! Everyone we spoke or interacted with (bellman/valet, front desk, housekeeping) were all personable, warm, and professional! Even before getting to the hotel, I called with a ton of questions and everyone I spoke with were patient and knowledgeable. We traveled to Seattle for our anniversary and we had a few requests for the room. To our surprise, when we got there they were all accommodated! It was really wonderful to feel like our preferences were taken into consideration :)
Lastly, I have to spotlight Stephanie at the front desk. She is truly a gem!!! She was so thoughtful and always checkin on us! As we checked in, she greets us with “happy anniversary”! How sweet! There was also a lovely amenity in our room from her which was a really nice touch. It’s really these small noticeable things that can start off a trip on the right foot!
* the hotel has a great text feature that allows you to talk to the front desk if you need. (Stephanie texted me 5mins or so after we checked in to make sure everything was fine in our room and continued to check in throughout our trip. <3 )
Thank you Stephanie and Sound Hotel for making our anniversary trip so memorable!

We used Uber to & from Seatac with no problems.
I recommend calling the hotel regarding an early check-in. If you can't check in early, ask if they are able to store your luggage behind the desk so you can sightsee while you wait for your room to be ready.
Basic WIFI is complimentary with your Hilton Honors membership.
I didn't try to open them. I'd suggest calling them to ask.
Hi, the closest stop is Westlake Station and is 0.3 miles (4 blocks) or about a 7 minute walk away from the hotel.
Hi,
Your car is in Valet while you are checked into the hotel. We might be able to arrange to keep your car longer depending on availability.
