Check in. Then check out The Emerald City. The sights. The sounds. The scenery. Seattle is known for a lot of things and there's no better home base than Hotel Five. Located in the heart of downtown on the corner of 5th Avenue and Blanchard, you're mere steps from the city's most famous attractions. Just five blocks away you'll find the Seattle Center, home of the Space Needle, Experience Music Project and Pacific Science Center. And only six blocks from the hotel is the bustling Seattle Waterfront, World Famous Pike Place Market, and the city's best shopping areas-Pacific Place, Westlake Center and the Nordstrom flagship store. Even better, the hotel is conveniently located on the Free Transit Bus Line so it's just a quick ride to Qwest Field, home of the Seattle Seahawks and Seattle Sounders, as well as Safeco Field, the Seattle Mariners' home turf. And after a long day of exploration, come home to a world of creature comforts while you Staypineapple at Hotel Five.

Hotel FIVE, a Staypineapple hotel in downtown Seattle, garners praise for its exceptional cleanliness and the warmth of its staff, who are often celebrated for their attentive service. The hotel's prime location is a hit with guests, who appreciate the ease of exploring the city's attractions.
While the rooms are commended for being clean and comfortable, some guests have mentioned issues with lighting and noise. Despite the charm of pineapple-themed touches, concerns about hidden fees and parking costs have somewhat diminished the overall perceived value of the hotel.

Detailed Reviews
I've stayed here multiple times and have always found it delightful. Staff are very friendly and authentic. Hotel branding can be a bit treacly but I like the whole pineapple theme and playful atmosphere. Rooms are always clean and generally quiet, even on a busy street. The cons are the add-on fees. Parking is really expensive so we park on the street. The amenity fee is a bit of a bait and switch that is common with many hotels but it should be something you can opt out of (I don't use the fitness center, can skip breakfast, etc.) Also the $25 PER NIGHT charge for a pet is ridiculous. It should be a single cleaning charge for a stay. I hope this isn't a trend that hotels are going to because it's a ripoff. If we do multi-night stays we try to be helpful and not have the room or linens cleaned every day. But if I'm paying $25 a night more I guess I should get my money's worth. Really counterintuitive and a policy that should be reviewed or removed. That said, we'll still come back for single night stays. Always a pleasure.

lazyfives, Thank you for staying with us and for giving us your honest feedback regarding your experiences here at the hotel. I am pleased to read that you like the pineapple theme and overall theme of our hotel. Our rates for parking in Downtown Seattle are quite fair and competitive vs other hotel parking options as well as parking lots in general where most almost charge double what we have here at the Hotel Five. The amenity fee is not a bait and switch tactic and the fee is openly out there before, after, and completion of booking. We do not hide this fee and want all our guests to know what they are all paying for when staying with us. As for the other fees you talked about we will take under consideration and do hope you will stay with us again. Thank you

I will return to this hotel because the staff is extraordinary at providing a comfortable and pleasant experience during these difficult pandemic times. The hotel and rooms are very clean. I always see the staff sanitizing and wiping common items used by many such as elevators. They also are providing a daily $10 credit toward food and drink due to the restaurant closures. The rooms are quaint and comfortable but a little small with very limited desk space for business travelers with laptops. You have to move the Keurig and other items to get a comfortable working desk space. The staff constantly restocks you with water and coffee. The Air Conditioning/Heating Unit was noisy and rattling all night which forced me to use ear plugs, but the street noise also required ear plugs. The beds are extremely comfortable!

I wrote a review in October and the front desk manager took care of me like he stated in his response. It was much appreciated.
The front desk folks are very kind and accommodating.
Those pineapple shaped cookies for afternoon coffee are a must.
I had a Mediterranean type plate in the bar and it was quite good. And again, Brian the bartender was very good, as was his cohort, a female bartender who’s name escapes me. I ordered extra chicken for my plate and they were quite accommodating.
We are so conditioned to see water bottles in a hotel room and don’t touch them because we don’t want to spend $5 plus for a 16.9 ounce bottle of water.
A couple I met were about to go to the nearby CVS to buy water. I told them unlimited bottled water is part of the resort fee. Or whatever they call that fee?
People must read the details of amenities that are part of staying at the hotel.
Unlimited k-pods of coffee and tea are also included. There are Keurig machines in the rooms.
The continental breakfast which is part of the amenities fee doesn’t have meat protein or hot eggs, but they do have hard boiled eggs. I had a bagel and an english muffin to pair with my eggs. Plus a tiny muffin, some cubed pineapple & yogurt. And orange juice. I must say the coffee is mediocre in my view, but I’m a coffee snob. Next time I’ll have hot tea.
I really appreciate that the Seattle Times is provided gratis.
Hotels in Seattle are quite reasonable this time of year, I could have tried another place which was a little less, but I chose to return.
And I will return again.

We chose this hotel for it's central location in downtown Seattle with walking proximity to the Norwegian Cruise ship terminal, Space Needle, and the Pike Place market. The hotel staff is friendly and low key. Rooms and the décor are chic and fresh and the bedding is super comfortable. Our group included 4 young adult children and they loved hanging out at the lobby playing shuffle board and other games while listening to the alternative music playing constantly. Upon check in, we were all given a 'token' to redeem for a drink either at the coffee shop or the 'convenience store' that included juices, fizzy drinks and even beer and wine. How cool is that. Furthermore, the fridge was stocked with bottled water that is free. Furthermore, the hotel has 4 cruising bicycles that you can borrow (no charge.)
Once we got off the cruise ship and walked up to the hotel around 9:30am, our two rooms were available for us to use. We were also granted late check-out (1pm) and they also stored our luggage, so we were able to tour the city more and come back and eat a carry out dinner in the hotel's dining area until it was time for us to head to the airport. The hotel's dining area has a microwave oven, so meals bought at the Amazon Go store 2 blocks away can be heated, for a low cost quick meal. BTW, the rooms do not have a mini fridge, but does have a Keurig coffee machine.
All in all, a terrific hotel to stay in and the prices were very reasonable. We will definitely stay in this hotel.

I’ve had great hotel stays in Seattle in the past. However, this was a very underwhelming experience overall. The Pineapple theme was a little overboard and did not positively contribute to the experience. Overall the staff didnt seem very engaged upon arrival and especially not at check-out. I didn’t feel like i was staying in a hotel. It felt very much like a motel experience. The walls are very thin at this property, we could constantly hear people walking through the hallways at night and in their rooms as we walked past. The resort fee was inexplainable given the lack and quality of the amenities offered at this property. The continental breakfast was below standard. It was equivalent to eating breakfast at a gas station. I really wanted to like this property, but overall I did not have a satisfying experience.

We had an overall decent time at the hotel. Glad we were able to find a nice pet friendly hotel. However, upon arrival, we did find the previous room's inhabitant's balled up pair of socks. Being that the state is dealing with a pandemic, I thought cleanliness would have been a priority. We ended up using the napkins provided near the coffee maker to dispose of the socks into the bathroom trash bin and promptly sanitized our hands with our own disinfectant.
Despite that, the service provided by the front desk was absolutely excellent. They were kind and responsive to inquiries as well as when we requested bath robes. We just didnt feel the need to tell them at the time about the socks. It was an issue we could deal with ourselves.

My daughter and I arrived late at night. Brian was at the front desk and he was great. While he was waiting for his computer to update, he was friendly and offered suggestions of things to do. He encouraged us to use the $10 credit towards snacks and offered us water.
The room itself was clean and had what we needed.
Here was the negative - my daughter forgot her airpods in the room. We called the desk and the woman who answered said they would look. We returned to the hotel and she said they didn’t find it. My daughter knew she left them on the bed but she refused to allow her to go look. I then called and asked the manager to allow her in the room. She reluctantly agreed to ask him and said “she would swear” that housekeeping would have found them. The AirPods magically appeared a few moments later. In addition when we asked to use our balance of the $10 (We had 6 left) so we could have a snack in the car, she said nope you had to use it last night. Mind you Brian didn’t mention that and we arrived after 11! I know it’s a silly amount but if you offer something - you should provide it. She was surprisingly rude and unhelpful. Basically this really marred what started off as a great experience!

The location was terrific and we were able to walk to Centennial Park and then pick up sandwiches at the Metropolitan Market and bring them back to enjoy in the dining space in the hotel. Lauren at the front desk recommended Laredo for dinner and we were able to dine under the heated tent with our dog.
We will recommend this hotel to everyone who is traveling with a pooch because the location is way better than staying downtown.
We had LOTS of hot water and stayed on the 4th floor and our room was quiet.

Conveniently located, we chose this for it the proximity to the Space Needle to watch the New Years fireworks. Unfortunately the fireworks were cancelled due to weather but the stay was still enjoyable. We chose a suite to splurge a bit and having 2 kids with us, needed some space. The hotel overall and room had a modern fun feel that went down to the staff. Extras such as cookies in the lobby and bottled water are actually paid for the extra resort type fee but worth it. The big attraction were the games in the lobby that the kids had fun spending time playing. We will stop again and maybe bring the dog next time. Close to plenty of dining options. The only downside is the usual outside downtown noises that can be heard but not the hotel's fault.

We love to Staypinepple, just not this one. We were put on the 5th floor. The water would not get hot to wash up or shower. I called the front desk and was told, “Oh the holier is in the basement. Just let the water run for a few minutes, it will heat up.” Seriously 5 minutes later we could finally get on the shower. I was already freezing standing there nude, who has to wait 5 minutes to get hot water at a hotel you pay good money to stay at? I love it at the Stsypineapple for the bedding, robes and slippers. No robe or slippers.
A bit let down staying at Hotel Five.

Yes, use the metro link train. Fare is $2.75 one way. Takes about 50 minutes from airport to hotel. Train drops you off 3 short blocks from hotel. An Uber will cost you about $50 so its best to take the metro link

Kingston-upon-Hull, United Kingdom896 contributions6 helpful votesA couple of questions if anyone could help please :) 1. I'm staying here in September with my dad and am looking for the best way to get to downtown via the light link rail from seatac? I've read that there may be disturbances so as a tourist it sounds a bit daunting as originally I'd read it was 1 direct train to downtown, now I think I have to change? I'll be arriving 12th Sept
2. We are staying at hotel five staypineapple and wanted to know what supermarkets are close by, just for general groceries, food and snacks for out room etc?

I’m in my 70,s and my wife in her 60,s …we walked downtown from the Pineapple… it’s only a few blocks….. the light rail went close to the hotel…but we didn’t use it.
