We stay at IHC properties every year when we come to New Orleans and this was the worst. Just walking in the room didn't feel clean. I immediately Clorox everything to feel somewhat better. Due to Covid room cleaning was once every 5 nights. And there in lies the problem. On my 2nd night I opened the cabinet where the fridge and watched a roach scurry away. We were given a bag breakfast and after seeing the roach I made sure the trash went out. The trash can by the elevator was full which is because everyone was dumping the room trash there. I noticed that the full length mirror (which for some reason is on the far side by the window) wasn't clean either. But the roach invitation came from the floor at the headboard. Due to the design of the bed if there's anything that falls off the bed by the headboard it falls into a area that hasn't been cleaned in a while. I lost my flashlight that I keep under my pillow when traveling (didn't sleep by the nightstand) and discovered it along with food wrappers underneath the headboard on the floor.
Thanks
On a positive note the front desk staff were friendly and would always greet us upon arrival or when leaving the hotel.

I'm going to stay at another IHG property on future visits. The location is great as we walk from there to the Superdome or to the French Quarter (15 minutes) very easily

Hi R1964, I'm glad you chose our hotel for your visit to New Orleans. Thank you for staying. We promise a comfortable and convenient experience for all of our guests. I'm sorry you experienced issues with the stay, especially with the cleanliness of the room, fridge, trash can, mirror, and headboard. I can see these dampened your visit. Trust that I alerted our management about this so we can make the necessary changes to better our service. On the bright side, I'm glad you found our staff friendly and location convenient. We appreciate your feedback about your stay and looking forward to your next travel. Many Thanks, Rein V Case Manager IHGService

So the staff was very friendly and accommodating. They made bagged to-go breakfasts due to COVID. The bags generally included a granola bar, an orange, a muffin, and the option of juice/milk, yogurt, and/or cereal.

The beds are super firm.

The showers have good water pressure, but rain showerheads. I know that some people like them, but they are not my preference. Our room had a shower only. The bathroom door was a sliding barn door style so you can hear everything.

They have a microwave and a refrigerator. They are close to a really good Italian Pizza place called Italian Pie. (The portions here are generally big). There is a cool mural of Louis Armstrong visible from the street.

It is far enough away from the french quarter to be pretty quiet. The views are urban. I would stay here again if given the option.

My travel companion and I booked this hotel and found it to be a very good choice. The Desk Staff was very friendly and professional. There were no coffee cups, coffee or creamers in the room as well as no hair drier. A simple call to the desk and that was resolved. When we left in the morning for a tour or just enjoy the city, we would ask for more coffee and when we returned, it was always waiting. The room was always cleaned and restocked when requested. Due to the virus, a grab and go breakfast was provided, but you could get waters, yogurts, and milk from the refrigerator case and cereal if desired.
The room was a bit small with lack of drawer space and a lack of floor space around the king sized bed. The room had a desk and chair. There were plenty of charging ports and outlets. We would walk about a quarter of a mile to the nearest restaurant and Green Street Car Line. The French Quarter was about a third of a mile from the hotel. The room was quiet and the bed and the pillows were very comfortable.

Spent two nights there with the main reason for the visit was the World War II museum. Good central location, parking on site but they charge. Good eats within a couple of blocks.
Room was fine, typical Holiday Inn Express. Breakfast was typical.
It was very busy due to family reunion time and the Southern Baptist Convention.

I wish I could give this place less than 1 star.

Extremally disappointed with our stay at this location for 2 nights. When we checked in late Tuesday night, the hotel had "lost" our reservation. They advised that the manager might have cleared our reservation when hadn't checked in earlier!

After going back and forth for 30 minutes, and 2 exhausted children from traveling all day, we decided to just pay AGAIN so we could get to bed. The next morning, the manager gave me attitude when I tried discussing the issue with her. She went to the back to research the issue more and sent someone else out advising she FOUND our reservation. She couldn't even apologize for our inconvenience herself.

We dealt with SIX rude employee's at this location, only 2 employees we encountered were helpful. Tuesday night a group of band kids came in and ran up and down the halls, screaming and yelling, slamming doors until midnight. During our stay I tried calling the front desk 8 times with no answer. I walked downstairs to complain about the noise Tuesday night, and the lady at the front desk was just sitting there letting the phone ring.

This hotel has paper thin walls, and heavy doors to each room. Each time a door is opened and slammed shut, the entire floor is woken up. The bathrooms have rolling barn doors that don't lock. When someone rolls the door to the bathroom, the person upstairs and downstairs hears it.

Our family will NEVER return to this location, we may never return to another Holiday Inn again. Absolutely awful. We had no sleep for 2 nights that we stayed at this location

I booked this hotel almost a month before our trip, and although I had been to NOLA before, the hotel and its location was a new experience. The hotel is only three blocks from the French Quarter and walking distance from almost all major attractions. Parking is or can be an issue; close but not cheap! The room was tidy and clean, and was furnished with a fridge and microwave, I will also mention that although in the city, the location was peaceful and quiet at night--a very quiet sleep, The staff was the best thing about our stay; everyone from maintenance crew to the night desk clerks were kind and friendly, (we stayed four nights) When we had a parking issue, Alexus Turner at the front desk was especially helpful! I will also mention that the complimentary breakfast was always fresh and delicious, I highly recommend staying here whenever visiting New Orleans.

The rooms are too compact and small for 2 persons. There are 2 double beds, only 1 chair and a small ottoman for seating.
The shower glass had too many water spots and there was black mold in the bathroom. There are nice wall dispensers filled with Dove shower products. The vanity mirror is brightly lit.
Front desk service is scarce, especially at night. One of the beds totally collapsed @ 1:30am while we were ready to go to bed, but there was no answer at the front desk when we called. We had to search for someone downstairs in the lobby to request a new room.
The breakfast room is too small with not enough tables, especially on Saturday morning. One morning, we had to sit in the lobby to eat breakfast. Go early before 8am if you want a table.
We stayed 3 nights here. There are not many restaurants nearby, except a pizza shop across the street. However, it is walkable to all public transportation. It is also walkable to the Smoothie King Center where we attended a concert.
As an IHG Platinum member, I do not recommend this hotel.

Nobody went in to give us fresh towels or even toilet paper. We asked for lotion on our way out one day and the lady looked at us like we were crazy. We called to see if they can bring us up some toilet paper the said yeah you can come down and get some. Like what in the world.

Terrible. Electricity went out just as I arrived and it took them half an hour to open the door. Even after power returned for hours I sat in the lobby until 3am because they couldn’t get logged in- until they finally put me into a room and then had to move again in the morning. And they charged me $230 for the night even after the staff that checked me in said I wouldn’t be charged for that night- which should have been obvious.

The worst holiday inn express I’ve ever been to.

I requested a late check out with the front desk and was approved. I asked 3 times because she told me to pay the fee at check out.

I paid 38$ for a full parking lot with not enough spaces.

I was called by front desk and woken up at 11:21am told we must leave the room. I asked to speak to the manager she said she was the manager. She said her new staff is not properly trained and gave me wrong info.
I was not prepared to leave so I had to pack. She called about 20 minutes later threatening to charge me $150 if we didn’t leave in 15 min. We threw our belongings outside of the room and tried to rush.
No one at check out offered to help us or explain the confusion. I am a holiday inn member and have never had this level of poor customer service.

Hello, Our entire property is non-smoking, we do have to smoking areas located right outside the hotel. The pool and gym are still closed due to Covid, we are unable to give a time frame on when it is going to be back open. Unfortunately, this property does not have balconies.

It is an old building. I didn’t care for it at all. The bathroom door is a slider door and if you are sharing a room, you have zero privacy when you go to the bathroom. The location is within walking distance to Canal Street and the French Quarter.
