Nestled in a prime yet tranquil location, The Windsor Court hotel is celebrated for its comprehensive amenities, including exclusive club level offerings and a pool with exceptional service. While the vibrant atmosphere, replete with live jazz and elegant decor, is a crowd-pleaser, a few guests have mentioned noise and the need for modern updates. The hotel's cleanliness receives high marks for the spotless conditions sustained by diligent housekeeping.
Accommodations are spacious and well-kept, although some suggest a refresh. The staff's professionalism and warm service are often acknowledged, even though rare service hiccups have been noted. Travelers consistently regard their stay as a great value, especially when opting for the amenity-rich club level suites.

From the moment we stepped out of the car …valet to doorman to check in to room everyone so gracious and courteous. Thank you Vince and Ryan and rest of staff, Maci and Jennifer. The ambiance of the salon and the grill room was wonderful. I love this place that I call a Palace, it’s as though you are in another space and time. Thank you Helen, Gaye, Justa, Kenneth, Kimble and Nyesha. Such elegance is displayed and such diverse staff from different countries. This is my Gem of New Orleans, a hidden Palace and Courtyard in the heart of New Orleans. I did not want to leave …the service, the food, the staff, and the best bedding and decor ever ! For New Orleanians this is a real staycation. It’s worth it. So clean and well manicured…housekeeping gets 5 stars…everybody. Also the lounge on 22nd floor so welcoming ….thank you Allison and Christopher!
My new husband and I chose Windsor Court and it was Perfect. I must show the photos of our honeymoon suit !

We happened upon the Windsor court on our first night in New Orleans when we visited the bar for live jazz music. We were so blown away by the hotel that we called our other hotel and cancelled the remaining two nights immediately. Every single staff member here (even the night staff) went above and beyond with every interaction we had, and they all seemed to genuinely want to make your experience better at every turn. The live jazz in the bar was top notch with people dancing in glamorous attire and the bartender was amazing as well. We checked in the next day after leaving our other very disappointing hotel and immediately felt relaxed and cocooned in complete luxury from the lobby to the roof. We got a club level premium suite with two queen beds and a pull out couch and we were so happy with our choice. It was perfect for three friends and the staff would make sure the pull out couch was perfectly made up every night when we got back. The club level was a lifesaver to be able to have breakfast or an afternoon snack with all the drinks and bottled/canned beverages you want included. There was hardly ever more than 3-4 other people up there at a time so it feels like you have a bartender/barista working just for you.
Everything at this hotel blew us away, with zero exceptions. The spa was 10/10 with outstanding treatments and skincare products, the pool and the bar were both lovely and well attended. Our favorite thing about the place was the service. We were greeted with smiling devoted staff everywhere we went, who diligently helped us with any request and went out of their way to make our stay as great as possible. This is truly a five star hotel without the pretentious and cold attitude that some of the other five star hotels have in New Orleans. We are coming back this year just to stay here and visit our favorite jazz bars, but we may not even leave the hotel!

A lot to digest? Read an AI-generated summary of recent traveler reviews.
We were supposed to leave NOLA after a week-long work conference but were stranded when our flights were suddenly canceled. We wanted somewhere exceptional to spend a much needed restful night, and were able to last minute reserve a deluxe suite at the Windsor Court.
Let me be clear: I’ve traveled all over the country staying at some of the finest hotels in the greatest American cities, but The Windsor Court is miles and miles above everywhere I have stayed before. Nestled in an ivy-adorned courtyard, the hotel boasts staff who are quick, attentive, genuinely warm, and practiced in the delicate art of hospitality. Checking in felt like returning home, not stumbling into a stuffy, better-than-you, probably-overpriced establishment. The decor is classy, tasteful, and curated with one foot in “museum” and the other in “your favorite neighbor’s living room”. We looked it up - the hotel is home to $10M+ worth of European art and antiques! It’s a dream for people who love art, history, and immersion in classical and romantic interior design.
Ramon at the front desk greeted us (at our embarrassingly late arrival) with assurance that the kitchen was still open if we were hungry and that they were happy we chose them for the evening. We were happy we chose you too, Ramon!
Eric brought our things up to our room - which was better, cleaner, and more fairly priced than our literal wedding suite in Washington, DC - set up our suitcases on racks, and left us to decompress. We headed to the Grill Room for dinner and marveled at the Smithsonian-quality antique paintings while enjoying an excellent meal courtesy of the evening staff and David, our waiter. We were hardly dressed for fine dining after our frustrating battles at the airport, but everyone treated us like royalty anyway. This meal was on par with some of the famed establishments we enjoyed in Singapore earlier this year. My husband had a cocktail - it was generous and well-balanced. We were beside ourselves with gratitude and left happy and full.
The next morning, Jodie brought us our in-room breakfast. We had a platter with a variety of breakfast staples (all absolutely excellent) plus a latte and cappuccino. He even brought a flower in a vase for our table!
We are sorry to say we cannot remember the name of the gentleman who brought our things to lobby when we left, but when I asked if he’d worked at Windsor Court for long, he said “not too long - just 30 years” which I thought was funny and cheeky. Seemed like most employees we met had enjoyed a long career with the hotel - always a positive and refreshing thing to see.
We were so sorry to leave. We would choose Windsor Court again and again and again whenever we next visit the Crescent City. It was worth every penny and then some. Thank you to everyone! We hope to see you again soon.

Overall, a very underwhelming and frustrating stay.
New pool deck and gym were quite nice.
Shout out to Christopher and Allison in the club lounge, and Christina with In Room Dining. They were excellent to us for the week and really made us comfortable and feel welcomed. All the Bellman and Valet staff were also exceptional.
I booked a Club Level Room, which supposedly has a dedicated Concierge. An email to the Club Concierge was left unanswered for a week prior to my arrival. The hotel's response was that they don't have one anymore. Ok... then delete the email from your website, or maybe have a Concierge check the Club Level emails once in a while?
I also have Elite Status (the highest tier) with iPrefer Hotel Rewards, yet it was not recognized nor did anyone from hotel management or the Concierge team even understand what it was. I explicitly booked the hotel directly thru the loyalty program that the Windsor Court is a member of (and links to on their website!).
I was told I should have booked with my Amex Platinum instead if I wanted extra benefits during my stay.
When I inquired about the "Welcome Amenity" and the "Complimentary Food and Beverage Offering" that Elite status is entitled to, I was met with indifference and straight up confusion. I actually had to show multiple staff members the website and my status when inquiring about the "benefits" I was entitled to.
The real kicker is when they said they would send something, I said whatever it is, please do not send red wine..... and they sent a bottle of red wine. Kudos for not listening, or for sending a silent message.
Some people love this hotel. I did not, and will not return. Off to the Four Seasons next time.
Management needs to train the Front Desk on this clearly confusing "loyalty program". I was treated like I booked a Mystery Hotel on Hotwire by the Front Desk and Concierge team and ended up there by pure luck.

Dear EA913, We appreciate you choosing to stay at The Windsor Court during your visit to New Orleans. We especially appreciate your loyalty as a member of I Prefer Hotel Rewards. During your stay, there were several failures that occurred for which we deeply apologize. There is a clear opportunity for re-training in many regards - the leaders of the respective areas will take advantage to make adjustments to improve the overall Windsor Court experience. A private message was sent with the hopes to speak with you in further detail of your stay. We certainly hope to hear from you as our invitation to connect directly still remains open. We take the feedback very seriously, and appreciate you taking the time to review your visit with the Tripadvisor community. Sincerely, Ralph Mahana, General Manager

Hotels like this take the visitor back to a time when travel was special and hotels knew it. Everything about this property is great. From the hard working bellmen, front desk and concierge personnel, to the pool and restaurant and bar staff. Each employee is nicer than the next and willing to provide best-in-class service. Our stay included access to the club level, which meant food (except dinner) and cocktails were included for a good part of the day. If that is in your budget, you should definitely take advantage of it. The pool (and its nearby bar) offered a respite from the August heat. We were able to walk to many attractions, restaurants and, of course, Bourbon Street.

We had a premium suite on the 21st floor. It was stunning. Housekeeping do a wonderful job, the room was spotless and the evening turndown was appreciated. This is a luxury hotel in every sense of the word, water in the rooms and the most luxurious towels and bedding. We had access to the club lounge and found everyone welcoming and charming. Special shout out to Jerry who made early morning starts bearable at breakfast. He is an asset for sure. We had a room facing the Mississippi and there was a slight issue with the trains honking their horns at stupid o’clock but nothing to do with the hotel.

I don’t know where to start. We recently stayed at the Windsor Court with friends our as the property came highly recommended and it certainly did not disappoint. The moment our driver pulled up and the doorman raced out with umbrellas we knew service was going to be impeccable. Everyone here is friendly, professional and very well trained to pay attention to detail and make you feel warm and welcome.
Our rooms was nice and spacious, when traveling with a 4 year old we always appreciate space to spread out. Dinning venues are all great but I do have to say sitting in the lounge with an adult beverage and a bowl of gumbo was very enjoyable.
We met lots of great staff including John Taylor who tools a few moments to chat with us and again just to be friendly and make you feel welcome. The only negative item was the tea service we took our daughter to just seemed to miss the mark a little bit was very appropriately priced for what it was.
We would whole heartedly recommend this property and will absolutely stay here again!

Over decades of visits to New Orleans, the Windsor Court has become our favorite, must stay at accommodation. Every member of the wonderful, considerate staff of many long-time employees, ensure the most luxurious treatment from the moment you book your reservations until the moment you sadly depart. All are wonderful; but, notably Housekeeping (Brittany?), Room Service, Rosslyn, Blake, and Maci made our Birthday Celebration extra special and worry free! The spacious, traditionally decorated suites and amenities are well maintained. Recharge and restfully savor luscious bedding insulated from the vibrant city below! Lastly, we love the offerings at the Polo Lounge, and Sunday Jazz Brunch at the Grill is now our family tradition!

We actually only booked in as we had to check out of a holiday apartment early and our flight wasn't until then evening. So we needed somewhere to relax on the last day. What a lovely hotel, very 'old English' in it's design, gorgeous bedrooms with Diptique bathroom accessories. We spent the day by the pool, great staff, so clean and luxuriously designed, then ate in the Pole Club bar. One the whole, the food was good and service was great (although I'd avoid the Shepherds pie as it came in the smallest dish I've ever seen one it's own). Rather pricey but then all of New Orleans was. It's right in the centre of town, quiet in the bedrooms with lovely views over the city and Mississippi River. REALLY glad we chose it for the last day. And the room value was great too. It looks as lovely as the photos on the website.

Our family has been staying at the Windsor for 30 years and it just keeps getting better. From the valets, receptionists ,room service and housekeeping the service was extraordinary. The only hiccup at the pool bar was quickly and expertly handled by a manager. I want to expressively commend the room service staff and food at breakfast. It is really the only place to stay in New Orleans
