French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living
lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty
Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port
of call for folks in search of a good time and a great
story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs
across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied
around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively
well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the

I have stayed elsewhere in the French Quarter and now I wonder why I didn't always go here. No matter what your station is in life, you are treated as royalty without a stuffy air to it. The staff truly seems to care that they make your stay a memorable one. I had a wonderful vie

Loved my stay at this hotel. My room was huge and very nice. The bed was very comfortable. Love the carousel bar. I don't recommend the regular restaurant - the food was just okay. But overall I love the hotel. They have a nice gym with good views and a rooftop pool. Not cheap, b

The bed was so comfortable and beautifully appointed with the finest linens and several pillows! Every employee we saw was friendly, helpful and courteous.

It is THE place to stay while in New Orleans!

In an area that ranges from seedy to sophisticated, this is one classy hotel. It's decor screams pride in tradition and style. It's personality is one of unashamed swagger. I loved this hotel--the architecture, location, service and character. Every touch point was a favorabl

The lobby of this place is like Grand Central Station because of their amusement park in the bar which is so crowded even in the off-season it will make your head spin. If you want noise and drunken tourists...... this is you place...if you don't stay in the wharehouse district

Bridget and others? Did the hotel ever make it right? IM very concerned. My clients arrived at this hotel late last night, to a very disappointing welcome. Their train was 2 hours late so they were already tired, then found that they were only given 1 room for all 4 of them, not the 2 that was clearly stated on their voucher. Instead of the hotel contacting me as their agent, or Amtrak vacations, the manager "fixed it" but actually questioned whether they had paid for their rooms- as they stood there with voucher, confirmation number, and quantity of rooms in hand! I am so embarrassed! They felt accused and shamed as if they were trying to get away with something- they obviously were not. Conf # 24081031. 9/24/18 check in. I understand there was confusion with a name change but it shouldn't take me calling Amtrak who in turn called them, in order for them to realize it. On top of it they were told they were being charged 75.00 a night on each room! Now, it sounds as if this is for incidentals and will fall off, but my clients did NOT understand this. We've all had a card be held for incidentals- but charged at this rate, per day? Without a detailed explanation after an issue for people that have traveled for over 15 hours to get there- not acceptable. I book NO a lot! I am a newer agent who has other connections with the city as far as event planners, real estate experts, and even a recent Best Dressed MoY, this was my 1st experience booking this hotel. I was hoping to create another connection, maybe get to visit- it looked good online- but front desk and management should be guest relations experts and in the business of making it right. I count on that for my clients These are good clients- and so far nothing has been done to make amends with them on behalf of the hotel. They have not bothered to reach out to me either, Ive tried emailing them directly- but their email us button doesnt work and frankly I dont want to get the front desk person if they are the problem. Looking through reviews, Im wondering if formal complaints should be filed with suppliers and agent organizations. This is our livelihood the hotel is messing with. Especially since the customer service issue has been addressed and obviously not been fixed. Ill give it 24 hours before posting my own review, just in case they come through, but it shouldn't be this hard to get good clients good service in an establishment such as this! Thanks for any feedback!
Thank you for informing us of this! We are sending this to our management team currently for further review. We will follow up at our earliest convenience.

"It's not about the room. Get out and explore this architectural gem and the eclectic French Quarter. Any room here is a blessing."
"Get above the 10th floor to avoid the street noise and buskers. (Noise seems to abate by 1:00 a.m.)"
"Good view over the river but make sure you ask for one."
"Ask for a higher floor (right on Royal, block from Bourbon St so can be noisy) and ask for a view (river views are wonderful)."
"Upper floors away from street noise"
