The Maison Dupuy Hotel delights guests with its charming atmosphere, featuring live music and a quaint courtyard that's a hit, especially given its prime location near popular attractions. However, the enjoyment is sometimes marred by concerns over maintenance and cleanliness, with the rooms receiving mixed reviews for their upkeep and outdated decor.
Visitors commend the staff's friendliness but are often frustrated by sluggish service and maintenance issues. Additionally, while the courtyard and pool add to the hotel's appeal, non-functional amenities and limited dining options have left some questioning the value for their money.

Detailed Reviews
We spent 2 nights – 3 days at this hotel after returning from a cruise ship. The hotel is in an excellent position in the French quarter just two blocks from Bourbon street and 5 blocks to Jackson sq. Our room was ready for us to occupy as soon as we arrived it was in the old part of the hotel but was large clean and comfortable with plenty of hot water and snowy white towels, like many in the French quarter the hotel has kept some original features including the original Gas lanterns- outside the hotel and in the downstairs corridor all still in working order giving it a lovely quaint feel, The hotel court yard is a little gem with a small swimming pool and lights in the evening which seems the very popular here in the French quarter.
Being English and Coeliac I found eating out in New Orleans very difficult so we ate in the hotel most of the time, there they had an understanding of the disease, only to find that on the last evening we were overcharged greatly for meals one of which was returned to the kitchen a inedible and we were promised it would be refunded of the bill. We didn’t realise until we arrived home. I have been in touch with the hotel but as yet had no reply (it maybe because of the lock down situation at the moment) but even so this has left me feeling very disgruntled and disillusioned at what could have been a very enjoyable stay.
I know that I didn’t sign the bill for this amount in the restaurant so the motto is - check your bill thoroughly before leaving because it seems that they don’t want to know afterwards

We have stayed at many hotels in the French Quarter over the years, and the Maison Dupuy surpasses them all in location, service, and price (and the food is outstanding as well)! I love that the same employees greet us year after year....this speaks volumes about the overall management. Can’t wait until our next stay!

Maison Dupuy is our favorite hotel in the French Quarter. Close to everything but quiet nights in a cozy atmosphere. The location is walking distance to everything in the French Quarter and about 20min walk from Frenchmen Street where the best jazz clubs are located. It is two blocks from Bourbon Street, close enough to be there in a few minutes, far enough to get away from the noise and non-stop commotion. Our Room had all amenities. I especially loved the local Abita Coffee Roaster coffee in room. We also used our mini fridge. The staff is very attentive and friendly. We got great help from the front desk and the concierge. The property is beautiful with a typical NOLA courtyard and gas lamps on the exterior. We will be back.

Location is perfect, hotel nice, stylish, tough rooms may need a little refurbishment, but the main issue is that we found a mouse (alive) ten minutes after we receive the room. I was with wife and 3 kids.
After I complained (very discreetly, as the lobby was full and I didn't want to stress anybody) we got another room which was not suitable for 5, so I had to call again, and they offered (after telling me there were no more rooms available) a third room that was all right.
They put us a 50 dollar credit on this mouse issue which we use to take breakfast last day. When we checked out, the guy at the front desk told us the balance was zero, but a couple of days after that I got a 68 dollar charge on my Visa Card. I wrote a couple of times but received no answer from the hotel. So I am completely frustrated with the situation, as I have acted in good faith (I could have made a scandal in that lobby) and they have absolutely let us down.

Pictures do NOT match the room. I was expecting a balcony view - we were placed in a room that had a window that would not even open. First impression of the room was a broken leg of a chair on the floor as well; the shower never drained properly. Location was ideal to many Mardi Gras parades, but the hotel needs to be honest about its rooms- and lower its prices.

+1
We stayed here with a group of 5 friends. We wanted to be close to the action but not "in it" since we thought it might be nice to sleep at night. Rooms were large and beds were comfy - pillows were divine. Staff are all super helpful, we used the concierge several times for ideas on where to go to here some jazz. The Jazz brunch on Sunday is wonderful and reasonably priced. The area around the pool is a great place to meet up with friends before you head out for the day. During the week rooms run around $109 - double it for weekends. The location can not be beat. You can get in and out of the quarter without getting caught up in gridlock traffic.
The hotel is walking distance from both the French Quarter and Louis Armstrong Park.

We had a great stay at the Maison Dupuy. Loved the hotel's location - in the French Quarter, within walking distance of everything, yet far enough away from Bourbon Street that we weren't disturbed by any of the noise in that area. Easy walk to Preservation Hall, Cafe Dumond, the riverfront, the shops and galleries on Royal Street, Jackson Square, and the French Market. The room on the 5th floor only had a small window, which was disappointing, but it did overlook the courtyard, which was a nice view. The room itself was just OK. Not bad, but nothing to write home about. We stayed the week between Christmas and New Year's. The value of the room was great. Concierge was very knowledgeable and helped us find things to do, and even helped us book a riverboat dinner cruise. I would recommend this hotel if you are looking for a good value in the French Quarter without the hubub of the Bourbon Street area.

MD offers exactly what we wanted again on this trip. It’s our 4th or 5th time staying here. We’ve stayed at 6 or so other NOLA hotels over the years and MD keeps calling us back.
We were here 3 nights, mid-week as the crowds are lighter and rooms rates tend to be a bit lower. Some restaurants aren’t open Mondays and/or Tuesdays but there are still plenty to choose from around town.
The price was fair, the room was super quiet and comfy, location is fantastic with a variety of great, small bars on virtually every corner surrounding it’s quiet courtyard and pool. The pool was a huge draw in this summer’s heat!
The staff were awesome despite having to deal with some grumpy guests with obviously unrealistic expectations. We are a low maintenance, 50plus couple with enough travel experience to read reviews and adjust expectations. These are tricky times coming out of the pandemic and we found all the staff working hard while being friendly.
Bourbon Street is only a few blocks away but you’d never know it. It’s only a couple of blocks to Canal and the streetcars.
When MD’s bar “Bistreaux” opened on Thursday, our last night, they were packed and the crowd was so lively and fun as they swing danced the night away. Their hours are limited but it was clear they have a fan club with locals and tourists.
We will be back!

We came for Mardi Gras and weren't disappointed! Two women split a king room with no issues.
We chose this hotel because it is located in the historic French Quarter, close to both Bourbon St (the party street) and Canal St (the main parade route). Our room was definitely "historic," maybe even slightly dated, but it was spotlessly clean, and the bed was very comfortable!
The bathroom was small but clean, and the shower was average with good water pressure. Housekeeping services and the concierge were friendly and happy to help with anything we needed. They have a small room with drinks, snacks, and basic necessities for purchase. There is a restaurant on site (The Bistreaux) for breakfast and late-night drinks; great jazz musicians playing here on Mardi Gras weekend!

We stayed 3 nights beginning of March. Asked for a courtyard balcony months ahead of our visit. Received a street-side balcony. Turned out we liked this best as there was a St. Paddy's Day parade, ending at Irish pub just across the street. Fun to observe. The dining room/bar service definitely needs improving. Service was very slow, left folks standing at the door for long periods of time before being seated. Ordered glasses of wine and got them 25 minutes later. On another topic, we were turned off by the "game" played by the hotel valets and the taxi drivers stationed across the street. We observed from our balcony how the taxi drivers all paid the valets some amount of money as guests got into the taxis. We decided not to play their game and instead ordered up UBER. As we exited the hotel, the valet knew what we were doing, proceeded through the glass door ahead of me hauling my suitcase, and slammed the door in my face. Then a taxi driver slowly drove by us and said insulting things.
Best memory was a visit to the Mardi Gras warehouse. It offers a free shuttle pick-up but they don't tell you when they might go out of service. We got stranded. Back to UBER. Also concierge in the hotel was so helpful figuring out where to eat, etc.

Call the hotel directly, get a promise and name of person.👌
No dining or food of any type.
I'm sure you do nowadays in NOLA.
However I would caution you against staying at the place.
I was there for four days, a maid never graced our room, i sat on hold for an eternity, the only thing that went right was the valet parking.
They have serious management issues, I would recommend spending your money somewhere else.
I gave up trying to register a complaint after hours of trying.
