During our travels through the USA, we stayed at the AC Hotel by Marriott, New Orleans. Our room was very nice and spacious. The beds were extremely comfortable. Very nice staff. The hotel is in a good location for shopping and catching transport for city travelling and sightseeing. We would highly recommend this hotel. We loved everything about this hotel and New Orleans and wish we could have stayed longer.

This hotel was ok. The rooms were spacious and well appointed however the service was below average. The lady who checked us in was quite patronising and spoke over us. This resulted in her charging our travel cards the full cost of our stay (rooms had been pre paid through an agent). Trying to sort this out on the phone to the card company, in a busy lobby with two young children was quite a challenge. Thankfully another male staff member was much more helpful than the first. We had also requested a crib. It wasn’t in our room and I had to call and visit desk three times. It still didn’t arrive. Eventually we had to put baby to sleep in our bed. In the morning I went down for a fourth time and finally the crib arrived. These are not huge issues but they certainly affected our stay. Our friends had no window in their room which was odd - check this before you check in!

Our cruise line booked us here. It was a good location for easy access to what you go to NOLA for.

My wife and I like staying in older buildings repurposed as hotels. This hotel certainly fits the bill. However, there were some issues. Both my wife and I felt the room sloped. Unfortunately it felt like your head was lower than your feet while laying down. However, was only annoying until you feel asleep. However, the mattresses were not the most comfortable. When management replaces them, they need to go with the standard Marriott bed.

The bathroom was nice. Black tile throughout. Glass shower door. The rainfall shower head is a nice touch if it works. Ours did not. But would have been a nice touch.

Rooms were clean. I did miss having a chair to sit in other than the deck chair.

TV was very sharp with a lot of selection.

All in all, an ok stay for going to NOLA for what NOLA is famous for.
Thank Robert H

I read previous reviews prior to writing mine. I loved almost everything about the hotel - location, perfect because it was close to everything within walking distance. Lots of great restaurants, Bourbon St. was just far enough away that after we left I couldn't hear the noise. It's also close to the French Quarter.
The hotel itself was impressive; it has a signature smell that greets you each time you come through the door. There is a bar in the hotel, exercise room, and breakfast area. The rooms are of European style so they are kind of small, yet intimate sizing. The bathroom door doesn't lock and because of the size of the hotel room doesn't leave much room for privacy. Because I was on business I was in the room alone.
One item I didn't care for was that my room was located in a "Cul-de-sac" of sorts and I couldn't see around the corner until I was in front of the room...I was a little uncomfortable about that especially coming in late. I loved that they had cameras near the elevators.
Now, the staff. I did not meet one staff member that wasn't wonderful and so accommodating. They were happy we were there.
The hotel also offers valet parking.
I would definitely recommend this hotel.

This hotel is clean and modern, but that was where the benefits ended. We had a reservation for a King, but they could not honor it and gave us two full-sized beds, which was annoying. But the worst was that the walls are paper thin, and you cannot sleep or relax. We heard the neighbors' conversations word for word. In the morning the cleaning staff would yell back and forth to each other, making sleeping in impossible. One of the staff, I believe a maintenance worker, wore a radio on his belt and sang along with it while walking up and down the hallway. It was absolutely awful. We traveled with friends who were on another floor and when we met up they commented that the housekeepers were the loudest hotel staff they ever encountered, so it was not unique to us or our floor. So if you are looking for some relaxation or sleep, skip this place.
Thank M L

Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other
parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title
might suggest that this area is all about business and
little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you
away from the Central Business District. The CBD
offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be
touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the
world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts
