Loved this hotel, very clean and staff friendly and helpful! Definitely recommend staying here, walking distance to French Quarter and nice restaurants and things to do. We loved the outdoor patio as well.
My wife and I are big fans of Hyatt properties and have stayed at this hotel on a previous trip, which was an excellent experience. This trip, however, was a different story. We made a reservation almost a month in advance, and confirmed it the morning of the day we travelled. We reserved an ADA compliant room, and paid handsomely for it. When we arrived, the room we reserved had been given to another guest. We were offered a different room, which turned out to have cat hair and kibble all over the floor. We moved rooms again, hoping the situation could be rectified the next day. No such luck. Strike 1. We were moved back into our original room, which had been cleaned by then. We met up with other family members for a trip to the WW2 museum and called for our car. We waited about 30 minutes, only to find out that the message never made it from the desk to the valet. Another 15 minutes to get the car. Strike 2. We got back late this evening to find that the main air conditioning was causing a severe vibration and noise in our room. They knew about the problem but couldn’t do anything about it. Strike 3. The Eliza Jane should be a star in the Hyatt cap, but it turned out to be quite the opposite. We’re still working on getting a bill adjustment that reflects the room we got rather than what we reserved and paid for. I believe we will look for a different hotel in our next trip to NOLA.…
Amazing property, lavish decor, wonderful brunch, and sophisticated bartender! Loved the beautiful furnishings and great architecture of the building! The exposed beams were amazing! Friendly and accommodating service from all! We will be back! ❤️
Firstly, I found NOLA to be a very dirty city. Our hotel however was IMMACULATE. Not one dusty or sticky surface. It was a haven to return to after being in the city all day. Thank you to the cleaning staff for keeping everything nice, I'm sure it is not an easy job but it makes a world of difference. The hotel is styled beautifully, with so much character; it really fits with the NOLA vibe. It's a Hyatt hotel but you would never know it isn't a local boutique hotel. Our room was huge with probably 16 ft ceilings and decorated wonderfully. The bathroom was spacious and everything was CLEAN. The bed was comfortable with many pillow options. The location is perfect: within walking distance of restaurants, shops, bars, and downtown BUT a little distance so you aren't in the heart of all the noise/smells/people. You can walk to a trolley stop and see anything in New Orleans. The staff are WONDERFUL, they are kind, upbeat, and helpful. Our host helped us choose the best option for an early morning ride to the airport and even scheduled a cab for us. My one tip is to take the stairs, the elevator was a bit concerning.…
Cool hotel with great inside and outside seating adjacent to bar. Rooms are huge. Lots of character in the hotel and a great location. Only a block from Canal and Poydras with lots of restaurant options.
