Our room was beautiful. The staff was so friendly. No restaurant yet but you are in New Orleans— good food everywhere!!!Shout out to Damian at the front door—A cool guy who handled the valet issues with calm and class. One guest was a bit rude. Order your car early- it was a 30 minute wait. Besides that—Great hotel!
Staff was very nice! Room was modern and clean. Great location as you can walk to the French Quarter in about 5 minutes. I liked that they have fresh coffee in the lobby at all times! We needed it many times.
So this hotel has a “naughty” theme. It’s is very dark and It says “play naughty” on the bed spreads and the soap says “wash the naughty off”. I totally get that it’s New Orleans but I was there with my 18 year old god daughter so it was a bit weird. Just would have liked to have been warned. Carpet was sticky. Restaurant was closed -I guess due to COVID? Pros- price, location and staff were great but overall, not impressed.
I booked this hotel for one night and checked out hours after checking in. The first room I was assigned (711) smelled like an ashtray. I went to the front desk and my room was changed to 716. The TV didn’t work so I called the front desk numerous times and my calls went unanswered. Finally, I got someone on the phone and they sent a tech to fix it. After trying a few things the tech was unable to fix the tv. He said the front desk would be contacting me about what to do next. Once again I waited and then called….NO ANSWER! I went down to the lobby where I saw the tech and he showed me the unanswered Whatsapp messages sent about my issue. At that point I decided it would be best for me to move to another hotel. I quickly went up to room 716, gathered my things and proceeded back to the lobby to speak with a manager. I spoke with a manager who I believe was named Chris and he apologized stating that the hotel was under new management and they were working out the kinks. He also reassured me that a refund would be issued to me for the complete amount of my stay. I decided to follow up on this issue with booking.com seeing as though I reserved the hotel through them. The customer service rep contacted the hotel directly and was told that I was listed as a no-show. Then I followed up a couple of days later and the hotel told the customer service rep that I was never told I would get a refund. LIES ALL AROUND! The photos of this hotel are beautiful, but in person the rooms are not well maintained at all. I was willing to overlook that, but too many other things were wrong with this hotel. Customer Service should be at the forefront and it clearly is not. Very disappointed!…
We have stayed at this hotel for years but NO MORE. We had to checkout at midnight last night because our floor was filled with pot smokers and the Bella the hotel manager was unable to do anything about it. Security refused to have the people causing the issue leave. Our mistake was not calling the police. Then Bella tells us there is no other room or floor they can move us to nor will they help us relocate to another hotel. They literally left us homeless in the middle of the night. Stay away from The Saint - unless you enjoy drugs.
