Stayed 2 nights prior to a cruise. Hotel is in a great spot, close to Bourbon Street, Canal Street, the streetcar, restaurants and bars. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful on check in and gave us good tips and advice on what to do in the city. Bedroom was large and very clean. Comfortable beds (2 queens) and good bathroom. Lots of towels too. Only problem we had was that the toilet cistern in my sister's room leaked and flooded her room while we were out in the afternoon. Staff dealt with it very promptly and offered to immediately move her to another room. However, it was evening and we were checking out the next morning so decided to stay put as a large heated blower was put under the carpet to dry it while we went out for dinner. It was still a bit damp on our return, but my sister is disabled and just didn't feel up to repacking and moving when we were checking out the next morning.

I like the location just off the FQ - it's very convenient to walk to the FQ and other points. The location is the best selling point - proximity to the craziness of NOLA without the noise!

Upon arriving, all the staff was cordial and helpful. Front desk staff was very nice and welcoming, acknowledging my Gold status with complimentary waters for me and my guest. The hotel is still working under COVID-19 protocols, so housekeeping does not come to the room during the stay and you have to order more towels, toiletries, coffee, whatever from the front desk or you can use the Marriott app. It was a bit startling when they knocked on our door to bring the toiletries. It would have been better if we just got an update on the app.

I loved the modern furnishings, including the barn door to the bathroom. It was a great feature rather than the typical door that would either swing in or out, hindering movement in the bathroom or that side of the bedroom. The shower was great size and love the glass door instead of plastic shower curtain.

The only issue I had was that we had was that the requested late check in was not in the system as I had to go back down to reception to get access to the room so that we could check out. We were back at room about 1:15pm for a 2pm checkout.

Valet parking was $43 for each night but glad we had access to car to visit areas outside the city.

Other than that, I would definitely stay at this location to visit NOLA/French Quarter.

Great location. Very friendly staff. Efficient service and always clean. Our two issues.

1. The air freshener in the lobby is just too heavy a scent.

2. The bar/lobby area is so sterile and could be so much better with a relatively simple makeover.

This was my 4th and last time staying here. This stay was way overpriced for the quality we received.

1. There were huge stains all over the carpet. Bring slides because you DO NOT want to walk around barefoot in the rooms.

2. The cheap plastic part that attaches the toilet handle kept working itself loose, so during our VACATION, I had to keep taking the lid off the toilet to tighten it. Major inconvenience in the middle of the night. Otherwise, the water would continue to run.

3. Instead of having body wash in the shower, we had two shampoos and one conditioner. Zero attention to detail.

4. Since housekeeping only comes every other day, you have to track down housekeepers for fresh towels. When I caught one in the hall, I asked for fresh towels. She replied, “no English” and kept walking. I was literally holding up our dirty towels, so English wasn’t even necessary for her to understand what I needed.

5. If you come back to your room for a midday siesta, you can forget falling asleep. The housekeepers loudly yapped to each other from one room to another for HOURS. Also, one allowed her phone to ring incessantly. Unreasonably obnoxious.

6. You have to take two elevators anytime you come or go, and there’s only one that can get you from street level to the lobby. It’s a long, time-draining process.

7. The shower is so poorly designed, the door opens on the opposite side from the controls, so the only way to turn on the water is to get splashed with cold water every time.

The pros were the friendly front desk staff and the location. Unfortunately, for what I paid, that’s not enough to bring me back here.

After staying here for the past five years, and getting to know the reception staff (who are excellent) and meeting General Manager Jerry Robinson in 2018 (who gave us his card and encouraged him to call before our next visit), we attempted contact with him to ask for an upgrade. As Marriott Gold members, we’re entitled to an upgrade, if available and, as loyal patrons of this property, we felt worthy of consideration for an upgrade.

Jerry did not return our call and, upon arrival, we again requested an upgrade and were informed that they would try to find “the best available room”. We understandably expected an upgraded room, hopefully one of the corner rooms that we had requested.

The room that we were provided was not only NOT an up-grade . . .it was a DOWN-GRADE. Our assigned room was a dungeon. It had no street view and faced other internally-facing rooms.

I called Jerry, reached his voice mail and left a polite message expressing our disappointment with our treatment and a request for accommodation. Jerry failed to respond.

I called Jerry again, politely reminding him that I had left a message for him expressing our unhappiness and requesting a prompt response. For the third time, Jerry failed to respond.

Finally, I met with Sean, the Assistant GM, to express my now MAJOR dissatisfaction with Jerry’s failure to respond. Sean offered 5,000 Marriott points (which I said would be entirely unacceptable) and said that he would communicate our dissatisfaction to Jerry.

After 4 days, we have received no communication from Jerry, the General Manager. As a 50+ year business owner, a failure of one of my employees to timely respond to a complaint from a loyal customer would be grounds for termination.

Jerry’s failure to respond to our request for an upgrade and failure to respond to our disappointment at the downgrade will cost the French Quarter Courtyard Marriott our business going forward.

We plan group trips to Carnival and had issues this year with getting a group rate. In our search, Courtyard Iberville was offering superior rates at their every day price vs even the national team was offering us. Our group booked with them and hoped for the best. We were not disappointed! The building is part of a whole historic block and offered a lot of charm. We liked that our lobby was on the second floor; feel like it keeps away riffraff. Our suite was average in size, but clean and comfortable. All rooms had a fridge (which is a huge plus) and had microwaves next to every ice machine on each floor (another huge plus) AND a laundry facility which is amazing!

Several members of our group took advantage of the gym, but we didn’t get a chance to take advantage of their partnership with the Ritz to use the pool or spa. However, the M restaurant in the Ritz has an awesome breakfast buffet for $38!

The staff from front desk to housekeeping were friendly, informative and at times very funny!

If there is one downside, there is no bar lounge to sit and enjoy a cocktail at the hotel. Most people go down to Bourbon, but sometimes it’s just nice to sit and relax. That being said, when we return in 2025, we will be giving the Courtyard a call and hopefully we will stay with them again!

This hotel is beautiful and in the perfect location for seeing everything New Orleans has to offer. I would rate my stay excellent except for the parking snag. I had three rooms for 3 nights. My mother and I flew in, and my son and daughter each drove cars in. We did the hotel's $43+tax valet for the first night since the two drivers arrived late, but we found cheaper parking the next day after lunch and moved the cars. Upon checking out, I was told the receipt would be emailed. I asked to see the bill because I wanted to make sure the parking charges were correct. I had been charged for 3 nights of parking on all 3 rooms, even though we only had 2 cars parked for one night. I had to wait for the man in charge of valet to bring his records up, and he said, "Well when you took the cars on Saturday, did you tell them you weren't coming back?" I had to call my daughter to ask her, but how are guests supposed to know that they are going to continue to be charged unless they say, "Hey, I'm not coming back." Typically when you take your car from valet parking, that's the end of the charges. It was explained to me that this hotel allows in and out with your car, so you have to tell them you are not bringing your car back. How are guests supposed to know this? Maybe they should post a sign or something. The parking charges were adjusted, but I had to wait there at the front desk for a while in order to do so. There were also a couple of indicators that the room wasn't properly cleaned: a wrapper in the nightstand drawer, and a silicone bracelet under the bed.
Other than this, our stay was lovely.

We stayed here for two nights in late April 2021. It appeared as though the hotel had just undergone some kind of upgrading. Everything was very clean. In our room, the sleeping area and the lounge area were separate with the bathroom between the two. Additionally, the sleeping area could be shut off by a sliding, barn-style door. This was especially useful to us because I have sleep issues and I was able to go to the lounge area and sit up and not disturb my husband. I thought the bathroom was supposed to be accessible, but the only handicapped accessible feature was a grab bar in the bathtub. I use a mobility scooter and there was plenty of room in the lounge area to park it. There was a snack area in the lobby that had a few items for sale for breakfast, a couple of breakfast sandwiches and bagels and pastries. As a handicapped person, it was tedious to have to maneuver my scooter in and out of two elevators to get to or from the ground level to our room. Parking was expensive but I was able to find a good deal for the room that included parking online. Overall, we were very satisfied with the hotel and would stay here again.

First time in New Orleans and would highly recommend this hotel. Talk about location - it’s ideal for someone that’s looking to be near the excitement but away from the noise. Once you are out the hotel the excitement awaits (in proximity). We didn’t have a car and we were still able have a full NOLA experience. Ms. Sherlita at the front desk was phenomenal. Very welcoming, friendly and accommodating. Everyday she gave recommendations of where to eat, what to experience and where to go. Her recommendations were good too! Osa (another front desk associate) was very nice and provided great recommendations as well. All in all everyone was very friendly and the rooms were great for our family. We booked the 2 king room. There was a sliding door to divide the bedrooms and each bedroom within the room had its own TV. Would definitely return!

When I arrived I immediately remembered staying at this property when it was the Iberville Suites about 6 or 7 years ago. This was great because I remembered the rooms being spacious and clean and since I was with fewer people I was happy to be staying. From the outside, it looked the same except for the name/brand change. There's an elevator on the main level that takes you up to the lobby.

Check-in was fast and pleasant and then I was off to the room. The room was also familiar but not in a great way. It looked like the carpet was the exact same from the previous brand. If it wasn't, I'm not sure how it got so visibly filthy in the last few years.
I know it's NOLA and always damp but the room smelled like mildew. It was so bad I had to get air fresheners. I checked out a colleagues room and it had the same smell.

Unfortunately, I ended up getting sick and staying in most of the trip. The other unfortunate part was having to stay in that uncomfortable bed. It was the thinnest hotel bed I've ever slept in and I felt every coil. Between the bed and the carpet, I'm not sure which was older.

Despite not having the best room, I will say the customer service from everyone including the food area attendant and the front desk crew was amazing. They're the reason this lackluster visit gets 3 stars and not less.
