I will always refer everyone we know to The Best Western St Charles Inn in New Orleans
Garden District. Professional, kind, caring, informative. Spotless rooms incredible breakfast each day, even scrumptious bakery goods in the afternoon, and evening.
There is a hotel that also keeps the theme of New Orleans. Thank You to each and every one of you.

Our two-night stay at this hotel was delightful for many reasons. First, the staff is truly amazing. Everyone was friendly, courteous, and accommodating. The breakfast was abundant with home-make tarts and coffee cakes each morning (along with an incredible selection of eggs, grits, pastries, cereals, etc.). In the afternoon fresh cookies and another offering (King Cake or an incredible Four-Layer Cake) was served. The location provided a quiet setting but was a short trolley or car ride to the French Quarter. Other amenities to note: parking was secure and free, the bedding was comfortable, the towels were thick, and WiFi was fast, This is an older hotel, but it was well maintained and very clean. I would definitely stay here again.

This is an older hotel, but wonderful in every respect. Everyone working there who we interacted with, were all so very helpful and friendly! The location was on the green tram line, and we were able to access everything we needed using that tram, or transferring to the red line. The street was beautiful. Several restaurants within walking distance. The breakfast was great, with so many choices. Best I've had at any hotel stay. Had the most delicious cakes almost every day in the afternoon. Room was spacious, and more than adequate. Loved our stay, and would go back in a heartbeat.

Another great stay at the St. Charles Inn. My wife and I love our stays at the Inn. We feel very comfortable, a staff that bends over backwards to be helpful and friendly. The housekeepers due a great job making up the room every day, fresh towels, bed made, bottled water and refresh any supplies in the room. Very clean rooms and hotel. Convenient parking available, streetcar runs right in the front, shopping close by and in a great location and neighborhood. There are renovations being done during our stay and more on the way. It is an older building and the bathrooms are on the table to update. Nothing really bad about them now. There is a restaurant located in the same building if you like Mexican food. Breakfast is Continental plus and very adequate. There is a patio in the front if you wish to eat out there or just enjoy being outside. We plan to return for another great stay.

All was good only complaint is the time of the hotel being cleaned/power washed outside @10:00 at night. We adjusted to noise and were able to sleep. Room did not have a blow dryer or it was so well hidden we didn’t find it.

I'm in New Orleans a lot and have stayed in so many places I've lost count. This hotel is my favorite, hands-down. It's got a fabulous location. It's across the street from the streetcar, which will take you to either the Quarter or Uptown to Tulane, Loyola, and the Riverbend neighborhood. It's in the Garden District, providing visitors with gorgeous strolls. The rooms are lovely - and practical! There's a sink when you enter, then a second one in the nice-sized bathroom, which also has a granite horizontal shelf above the sink, providing extra storage for sundries. And the refrigerator is a great size, bigger than the tiny ones usually provided.

The continental breakfast is plentiful, even leaning toward hot if you count the Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches provided, along with a microwave. There's a great lobby with a living area as well as dining tables. I saw someone holding a meeting in the first (BTW, there's also a business office); we enjoyed several takeout dinners in the second. There are two outdoor patios with views of St. Charles. Plus, the Mexican restaurant Superior Grill is next door, while Superior Seafood is a nice walk up St. Charles, as is one of my favorite hangouts, Fat Harry's.

I learned during our stay they're planning a remodel this summer. I begged them to keep the generously sized refrigerators and bathroom shelf. I also hope they keep the moderate prices! If so, it will continue to be my first choice for NOLA lodgings.

We visited New Orleans for Spring Break 2023. The St Charles Inn is an average stay. Safety was a primary concern for our choice of hotels. This hotel was previously reviewed as a Garden District stay. It is not in the Garden District. It is in the Touro District which is also considered safe but the front desk staff did tell us at checkin not to walk north or west very far but rather to stay south and east.

The booking was for five, however the room does not comfortably sleep five. The beds are doubles and barely fit two people each. A rollaway was offered but there was no room for a roll away in the room. The rooms are very small. Our fifth ended up sleeping on a camping cot that we travel with for use when no rollaway or fold out couch is available. The most redeeming quality of the room is a sink and counter space outside of the bathroom. The bathroom did not have a ventilation fan, which resulted in a pretty steamy room after five showers. There was a small window in the bathroom that would have been nice to be able to open for some fresh air but it was screwed shut. The room did have a cat urine smell that was quite noticeable after everyone showered and the air was humid. The housekeeping staff was great with daily light cleaning and towel replacement.

The breakfast is strictly a continental breakfast with bagels, toast, dry cereal, juice, and coffee. There is a small grocery store three blocks down St Charles Ave with a nice selection to supplement.

The hotel is very close to a trolley stop with easy access to the French Quarter and Central Business District. Highly recommend the Jazzy Pass for easy on/off access to the trolley. There is a small parking lot behind the hotel for guests that is gated but easily accessible in that it’s only going to keep the honest people honest and if someone really wants to break into your car they will easily be able to. Definitely take precautions by stowing away any valuables that can be seen through windows.

Dear 35090325930, Thank you so much for staying with us. We are so disappointed that you did not really enjoy your stay with us. Unfortunately, our double rooms can accommodate up to 4 adults. Typically, the feedback we receive is super positive on our large rooms, comfy beds, friendly team members, amazing and safe location. Regarding the smell in the room, I wish I knew your concerns while you were here. We would have definitely found another room for you. I hope you will consider giving us another chance. Again, I am grateful that you took the time to share your feedback with us. We realize that you have options when it comes to hotel stays, and we truly look forward to exceeding your expectations during your next stay. Warm Regards, Ceyda

This hotel exceeded our expectations: The room was fantastic, the breakfast was the best we ever had as a complimentary breakfast in a hotel, we felt secure at all times, and their private parking made this hotel an incredible option. The location was never an issue, since we didn’t want to be in the French quarter nor downtown, The trolley went by the hotel which made transportation very accessible. We reserved a room with a king size bed, and when we opened the door I could not believe how big it was. As you walk in, there is the closet to your left with the safe, and right in front there is a sink with a mirror. The room has a small refrigerator. The bed is very comfortable. The bathroom is very well appointed, maybe smaller than other hotels. The room has a well stock Keurig coffee maker.
The hotel has a small excercise room , which we did not use. The front desk staff is very helpful.
I loved the location! We did explore the neighborhood, and found a café, some small restaurants and quaint and beautiful houses.
We loved the location. We truly love the St. Charles and we will return.

Great location in the Garden district. The hotel is very nice and the rooms are individualized not cookie cutter. Our room was large with wood floor and area rug. It has a bathroom with sink and in a separate area it had another sink. There was coffee service in room with Keurig coffee maker We were in an end room so we had two large windows. There is a bar and nice grill call the Superior attached. Gated parking is provided or vouchers for parking garage. A continental breakfast is served daily. They offer daily maid service. I will definitely stay again

The hotel was nice with updates. The staff was friendly and accommodating.
Air conditioning was nice and cold.
It would be good to check your room for clean towels, animal smell and bedding before you settle in the room. I think house keeping cleaned the room but missed some of these things in two rooms but the third room seemed good. We don't want to discourage staying at this hotel because it is nice and convenient. The third room did seem clean.
