Just finished a four night stay at the JW Marriott. The hotel is beautiful and in a great location. As great as everything was, the most impressive part was the customer service. Everyone was wonderful. Want to send a special shoutout to Arielle for the fabulous upgrade, to Asia for the surprise delivery to my room. It made my day, and to all the wonderful staff I met a breakfast. I would highly recommend this hotel

Had a great experience here this past weekend. The customer service was great, location great, and rooms were spacious & very clean. I am super picky about where I stay, but this hotel was really a good experience. I will definitely be back to stay!

Just returned from a shortened trip at the JW Marriott. We ended up checking out early as the hotel was not meeting our expectations and our home would have provided more adequate relaxation. Pros: the hotel is nice, but not JW nice, room was clean, good rate. Cons: no housekeeping, weird hours for food, freezing pool with no umbrellas/servers/ or anything that felt remotely vacation-like, very noisy. Also, New Orleans is suffering a labor shortage, like much of the country. Restaurants, shops, and bars are understaffed creating long lines and chaos everywhere. To them come home up to unmade beds and no room service...not the best trip.

Took our 19 year old grandson for his first trip to N.O. and boy was it an eye opener! First let me say that the hotel is gorgeous on the inside, albeit compact. Room and bathrooms were beautifully appointed and kept very clean. We even received daily cleaning when other Marriott properties do not. The bellman, Alfred, gave us 10 times the info than the woman at check-in. (Give that man a raise! ) Because of the crammed in nature of the CBD, the views were crummy, but the room and the pillows made up for it. Amazing feather pillows! Now for the bad side: The noise from drag racing cars on Canal was not only annoying, it was rather scary. As early as 7pm young hoodlums would start racing loud muscle cars while police just watched. A group of 4 wheeler ATV's even raced down Canal, I mean, those aren't even street legal! Yet police just sat there. I used to think that Bourbon street was the place to worry about. Nope, it's Canal. Bourbon is just a bunch of drunks, druggies and prostitutes. Canal has outright hoodrats and criminals. It was horrible. Won't stay on THAT street again!! For our final morning, at 8:30am, while waiting nearly 30 minutes for the ALWAYS LATE trolley, right outside this hotel, we got to see a man chase down and then beat a woman with a hammer! She broke away and Praise Jesus the police were actually around to catch the scum and take him away. I'll say it again. I won't stay on Canal ever again!!! Thank goodness we were leaving that day.... Then, after the always awesome Alfred helped us load up the car, we realized the Yeti cup we left in the car was missing. "Don't panic, it's here somewhere", I said. We got home, searched the car and our bags. Nope. $55 for parking and a large tip and the friggin valet stole our cup!!! Beauty and great pillows aren't enough to pay the price of this hotel. Sorry, I won't be back.

Hotel was clean and well located although Canal street can be very dicey on some blocks. Lots of homeless people hanging by MacDonald's. Two queen room was updated and daily service was excellent as well as front desk. bar and restaurant pretty dead and still COVID proof.
