We visited New Orleans for the first time the week before Mardi Gras. I chose The Grenoble House based on other reviews that I read on Trip Advisor. My first contact was with Mike when I made the reservation. The room we wanted was not available on the last day of our stay (Valentine's Day) but Mike asked me to give him a day to see what he could do. I don't know how he did it but he was able to make it happen! When we arrived we were greeted by Joe. He walked us to our room and got us all settled in then he told us of a great place to eat. The next day we had the pleasure of meeting Champagne, another amazing employee. Everyone we met was extremely pleasant and helpful. They gave us food & sightseeing recommendations and arranged taxi's for us when we needed them. If you're concerned at all about safety or noise being so close to Bourbon Street don't be! Our room was very quiet and the door is locked 24/7. When you leave your room they keep your key for you so you have no chance of losing it while you're out having a good time. I can't say enough good things about our stay there. Thank you for making our first visit to New Orleans a great experience - we will definitely be returning to The Grenoble House on our next visit!

What a wonderful experience for our group of 5 women! We were met by the nicest young men who carried our luggage up to our huge, comfortable and very clean rooms - quiet too. They were able to give us information about the French Quarter (eating and shopping) and even had cake for us-yummy. We loved having our happy hour wine around the pool in February and being able to relax in a home like atmosphere. Should we return to New Orleans you can bet we will stay at Grenoble House, it was the best!

We were booked into Grenoble House for the last few days of our road trip from LA to NOLA. We were due to arrive on Tuesday March 24 to take the 2 bedroom apartment for 4 people for 5 nights (so a significant booking in money terms). We paid our booking in full in February. The terms and conditions are clear: from 14 days before the booking no refunds will be issued. As the situation in New Orleans became more difficult we knew there was no point in continuing to the city and we planned to turn around in West Texas and drive back to LA.
On March 19 I got an email from Vic Palazzo, operations manager of the hotel, offering a refund! Considering the financial penalty the COVID-19 crisis will cost this hotel as well as many others, this seemed an extraordinarily generous example of customer service. Moreover this refund was processed and returned to my card within 48 hours.
We also had dealings on the phone and email with Mike and Jordan, both of whom were helpful and professional.
I really believe this example of honest and fair dealing needs to be included in the hotel's reviews.
We will return to New Orleans when this is all over and there is nowhere else we intend to stay. We look forward to meeting you.

Our party of 7 stayed for 2 nights at The Grenoble House on Dauphine Street in New Orleans during Mardi Gras. The unit was furnished with everything we needed and was so tastefully decorated. The staff members were amazing. So very helpful, kind, and eager to assist in any manner needed.

We were just a few blocks from the celebrations. The FRENCH MARKET is a must see.
Enjoy like we did.

Great stay for me and my wife as it was comfortable bed perfect location. We stayed during Mardi Gras and it wasn't as noisy as it probably could have been. The noise that did bother us was the water falling from the broken drainage pipe or gutter that was near our room. ALSO, there should be curtains as well as the current blinds on the windows

We just spent a week in the Grenoble House; it is certainly an interesting, but we found disappointing, place to stay. First thing you notice is no sign at all out front. Next, the front door is locked. Third, there is no elevator and the nicer rooms are all up stairs. They claim free breakfast--but this is false, there is no breakfast. There are steps into and out of the lobby which makes it difficult for someone who has mobile problems. Our suite had very limited kitchen space, cabinets (1 was locked), and eating/cooking utensils. The room was clean, the thermostat worked, and the bed comfortable. There is a single staff member on duty all the time and most were very pleasant and knowledgeable. One was nice but not very helpful. The location was close to some very good restaurants but a taxi was needed to visit the cathedral and French Market, and any place in the city. Most buildings were closed/shuttered because of the storms and pandemic. We do not plan to stay here again.

Grenoble House was the ideal choice for our visit to New Orleans. It's close to Bourbon and Royal Streets, but far enough away to be quiet and safe. Our King Suite room was like a small apartment, with a kitchen and sitting area featuring leather sofa and recliner. The bed was comfortable and temperature control worked well for us to get an ideal sleeping environment. The only complaint I'd have is that the windows are covered with only shades -- it's brightly lit outside all night long, so I had to keep my eyes covered. The staff is friendly and helpful, and there is always coffee, tea and cake available in the lobby.

We got the king loft apartment. We loved having the full kitchen to eat breakfast in and to have the option of having other meals there. We hit a grocery store nearby and stocked up. The sitting room and separate bedroom were homey and comfortable. The spiral staircase was a little precarious and might be difficult for large people or people who have overindulged. The location was very convenient to walking everywhere. The staff was very sweet, particularly Champagne. The one improvement they could make would be blackout curtains on the bedroom windows. It was very bright in the bedroom with no window covering in the transom windows, and we didn’t sleep very well. It was fairly quiet at night, though. But we loved the brick walls and the vibe of the place. We may be back!

I would absolutely return to Grenoble! Location was what we wanted; it was perfect. 2 blocks from the madness, but amazingly quiet. We spent plenty of time just lying about in our room/living room/kitchen suite when we were tired of being tourists. It pained me to come home to my tiny apartment kitchen! And, we could get stuck chatting to the amazing staff for an easy 20 minutes on our way to and fro: especially a shout to my man Champagne and The James, and Chantelle (sp?) Classy but rustic, always someone in the living room-like lobby reading a paper, always tea and cake in the foyer. Southern charm and style. A lovely and well maintained patio and pool/hottub that I hadn't planned on for our winter visit. Incredibly well priced, as well!

Grenoble House is a great hotel in the French Quarter. The staff was very courteous and friendly. Mr. Champagne and all the other front desk workers were a great help to me many times during my stay and helped me get a taxi during the busy Mardi Gras weekend. I've stayed at many hotels in the Quarter and Grenoble House definitely stood out. My room was huge and had a kitchen, with oven, microwave, fridge, etc. The fridge came in handy for leftovers and King Cake.

One thing to keep in mind is that the building has no elevators, so if you have heavy luggage or are traveling with a person who has difficulty ascending stairs, you may want to plan accordingly. Also if you have a room facing Dauphine street, the noise can be very loud in the middle of the night, which is to be expected during Mardi Gras, so light sleepers might want to pack earplugs or ask for an interior room facing the pool or courtyard.

Overall, Grenoble House was a great hotel to stay at, especially for the price.

Thanks again to Mr. Champagne for holding a box of beads I had shipped to the hotel before I arrived and making sure I received my delivery of throws
