The difference between a 4 and a 5 star is easy to fix, and hope this is the case. First I want to say that everybody that became in contact who works at the Roosevelt were professional and friendly. This was particularly the case in the Sazerac bar, the gift shop. as well as the Waldorf Astoria spa. our room was beautiful and clean. Where I have reduced the rating to four stars is the fact that you could never reach anyone by phone whether you dialed internally or externally. After being there one evening we had not received housekeeping services which I had specified we wanted, upon check in. It was not a big deal however on the second day when we tried to notify someone it required me to actually to go on a hunt. When I found a gentleman who was stocking the linen room, he was very quick to help us. The room service and food are amazing however it is not available Tuesday through I believe Friday. I am unsure because I would’ve taken off guard when I was told this on Tuesday morning. I Only noticed this when I looked at the menu and was never told us prior to booking the hotel or upon check-in. Concierge service is limited. Again not earth shattering but having one is convenient and five star service. I will possibly return here but will ask more specific questions prior to booking.

Hotel's Favorite
The level of service we received at this hotel was outstanding! The front desk staff was very helpful and informative. The food and beverage staff are SUPERSTARS (Conroy in particular - so friendly and helpful - he really made our visit wonderful). The ONLY thing I wish was different was the fact that breakfast is not served in the restaurant on Monday and Tuesday. They serve the same menu in the coffee shop, but there was one person behind the counter trying to serve everyone, so it’s not the same as a full-service restaurant. This is not a fault of this hotel - I am certain this is due to a severe lack of workers in NOLA. So many service professionals have either moved or moved-on to other work during the pandemic, that even top-notch properties like this one are having difficulty finding humans that are willing and able to work. My husband and I will continue to be patient guests during this transition process ... because we are just happy to be TRAVELING again!

Thank you for your patience shutterbugsunny! We agree with your feedback and would love to be open to a bustling breakfast on Mondays and Tuesdays! Hopefully soon. We appreciate the wonderful rating and hope that each day our service delivery gets better and better. On a specific note we agree that Conroy is nothing short of a superstar! Just a great human all around. Come back real soon, we will be waiting for you! The Entire staff at the Roosevelt New Orleans

I wanted to share a review in hope that management will make some needed improvements to their customer service experience. For many years The Roosevelt has been the ONLY hotel we book in New Orleans based on previous outstanding experiences. Unfortunately our stay and the beginning of June was not the case. It started prior to arrival when I emailed the concierge about help with dinner reservations for out anniversary and sons graduation with absolutely NO RESPONSE. When it was time for online check via the honors app, I planned to select a certain room we prefer when traveling with our children and the online system would not allow me to do so, one of the reasons we stay here is the ability to select our room as they vary based on location in the hotel and we have our favorites. I didn’t really worry since we are gold members and in the past the front desk was more than accommodating with request and upgrades. When we arrived I asked for the room number category we preferred and was simply told “sorry we can’t accommodate that request” I also asked about the Honors gold upgrade and was told “sorry no” even though the person checking in before me received an upgrade. We were given “the only room available” which had a horrible view and i am fairly confident was not even the category we booked! I didn’t even bother to complain because the apathy at the front desk was glaring. We changed hotels the second night of our trip for other reasons and were given an upgrade to an amazing suite and were treated with first class service for our anniversary, the sad thing is we aren’t even loyal guest of this particular hotel or part of their rewards program. It really left a bitter taste as we are loyal guest of The Roosevelt

We just returned from 3 nights in New Orleans and had a wonderful stay! My husband is originally from New Orleans and his parents got married at the Roosevelt in the 1960's, so we wanted to stay there to celebrate our daughter's 21st birthday. We had 2 king suites and a regular room. The rooms were well appointed and very comfortable. Nice and quiet, which is not easy in that part of town. The weather wasn't great so we didn't have a chance to use the pool but it looked lovely (albeit crowded with what appeared to be a large wedding party.) The highlight of our stay was the Sazerac bar. Special shoutouts to Eddie, Tre, and Jamia, who went above and beyond to make my daughter's celebration special! We also had excellent service from Jasmine and Jordan at the front desk. Highly recommend it for an upscale stay close to everything! We will definitely be back.
