We stayed for more than two months and enjoyed everything from excellent breakfast and service to comfortable accommodation that feels like home. Location is also topnotch. Definitely recommended two thumbs up. Truly a wonderful stay! - Reynaldo of Canada
Alpa suites is well located close to the ferry terminal and other main areas of Cebu ie malls. Etc. Staff is very pleasant and helpful. Rooms a bit smallish but quite comfortable and there is good wifi. Kettle is provided in room for your complimentary tea/ coffee.
Stayed here for 6 night holiday. Location is good for restaurants and shops, other ares of Cebu easily reached by taxi. Good service from friendly staff, especially restaurant staff at breakfast. Breakfast was OK, food was regularly replenished. Choice could have been better. Hotel and room were clean. The shower was poor with not much power so not much water. The towels were old and they did not provide hand towels. The air conditioner was noisy which was a problem at night. It is and average hotel but could be improved.
We had our team gathering held at their function hall and we availed of their package buffet including decors. Food taste average, decors stated in the contract were not followed, slow service and worst, they don’t return your belongings in case you accidentally left it. Will not recommend it at all!
Room was spacious and clean. I'm not expecting much for budget hotels but what impressed me is how the bathroom is kept clean. I am always critical of how the tiles are kept clean, so it's a plus for this. The only reason why I didn't give 5 stars is the breakfast crew. There were just a few of us and no one even bothers to serve water, they are chatting like crazy in the bar area, and some are singing at the top of their lungs - which for me, is very unprofessional.
We were attending a 2-day conference inside the hotel. We reserved superior room with 2 single beds. Upon check in, we were upgraded to an executive suite. Yes we were thankful for the upgrade. The room is well maintained and the facilities all working. The lobby is clean and good-smelling. The front desk accommodating and courteous. The breakfast is free and although the selection is limited, it is well-refilled and covered the usual fare. The check out was a breeze.
Attentive service at this mid ranged hotel suite located near sm city. Despite its size, it has big rooms featuring a full refrigerator and sink. Its function room can accommodate up to fifty participants
Was told that Cebu and Mandaue hotels were full due to some a lot of tourists, so my host booked me this one. Unfortunately, my flight that day from GenSan was cancelled. To my chagrin, was told by the Hotel through my host that they will charge me for the night. As they had refused many bookings. Had to agree, no choice. When I landed up the next day, found the room, slightly used. How ? Well , there was a towel down on the floor and the tooth brush and paste lying on the wash basin. I wouldn't put it beyond the hotel to have let in a guest on my booking and made double the money. Whose to prove it otherwise? Anyway, listen to this. A safe is provided for valuables, so I promptly put in my stuff and tried to lock it. The safe refused to lock. Reluctantly after a few tries it did. Something was nagging me, but I just put the thought aside, as I went in search of a decent restaurant or a 7/11. Neither could be found, which is a different story. On my return to the room, I tried to open the safe and it refused to accept my code. Repeatedly. I had to call up the front desk for help. The sent in the housekeeping guy who had a bunch of keys and stuff. At first he refused to accept my version. Upon using his master code and continual refusal from the safe, he was flummoxed. I suggested that the battery may be weak. Weakly he accepted. Upon opening the safe by sliding the keyboard and using a master key, he located and replaced the batteries. lo and behold, everything worked. Having let him have a peek at what's in the safe, I was not going to put anything back in it. But it just goes to show that the housekeeping staff has no process to check such things. Low marks for sure. The AC makes a noisy effort in cooling. Low marks again. No decent restaurant or 7/11 proximity. Just some Pa and Ma shops, with nothing worthwhile to offer. Negative marks. Promised time of breakfast, 6~10 am. At 6.15, less than quarter of the buffet is laid out. Bread not available, egg station not available, no fruits, no juice. Jeeeeeez. This one is a real bummer. No sir! Never again in this hotel. The staff did not even mention about my missed night or having charged fully for it. Negative plus Negative!…
Stayed 2 nights. Location is ok. 10 minutes by cab to SM city (cost us about $2.50 usd by cab.) not many restaurants super close. Room was decent. Sink stopped up and wouldn’t drain. Staff was nice and my husband loved the breakfast buffet. Got there at 4am after long international flights and had to pay a full nights rate to check in at that time. The rate quoted was “half off the printed rate” according to the desk clerk, but was even a few dollars more than I paid for the booking online through a 3rd party before we left for our other night. Wasn’t upset about it; just note that if u have to check in early, go ahead and book the night before u leave to save money. Make sure to turn the water heater to high. Noticed that all over the Philippines that each room has its own water heater...typically set on low or medium. You need the hot setting to get a shower as hot as most Americans like them.…
Alpa suites hotel room was clean. The bathroom was wide and nice. Room has good ambiance. Thanks to chef remmy and chef tata for the fantastic food. Perfect for staycation!! Better to recommend this to my friends.
