I, along with my friends celebrated a family get together on 7, 8 and 9th February 2020 at this place. We were a pretty big crowd of 107 persons. We occupied all the rooms here and some more in the KTDC Resort near Tannermukom Bund. Our function was conducted at this resort.
This place is about 3 Kms from the main road and there fore it is free from the disturbing noises of traffic and other distractions. The place is open on once side to the famed Vembanadu Backwaters. The lay out of the facility is nice and appealing.
The property has 30 rooms, well designed with all facilities. The premium rooms have a small private pool attached to it. The amenities of the rooms vary according to its rent. The rooms are clean and well maintained
The restaurant near the backwaters is nicely laid out and can seat about 130 guests at a time. There is a swimming pool near the restaurant with a large deck all around.
The food served were very tasty. There were a number of different dishes to cater to the liking of the guests, both in non-vegetarian and vegetarian style. The service was excellent. They can also prepare food according to the guests' choice.
There is an air conditioned hall above the restaurant with a seating capacity of 100+. We had our programs there and also in the open air near the pool.
The staff were cooperative and well mannered. Their managerial prowess was admirable because, they looked after the needs of all the guests without any room for complaint.
We were happy that we chose this place for our function and all the guests were unanimous in this opinion. We will not hesitate to consider this place again for a similar function in future!

Located perfectly overlooking the beautiful Vembanad backwaters, The World backwaters , is the best destination for soothing your mind, eyes and your tummy. The resort is so well maintained and hygienic that we stopped worrying about the ongoing covid scare for few days.All the staffs are covid vaccinated and they gave so much importance in sanitizing each nook and corner of the property. The attention that the staff gave to each of our needs was highly commendable. The food was also excellent.They were more than happy to arrange some not so common seafood items on our request and made sure that everything was cooked based on our personal preference. A huge shoutout to the whole management for not compromising on quality , cleanliness and hospitality even during these testing times.I would definitely recommend this resort to all my acquaintances.

Had a pleasant , peaceful and serene stay of 3nights away from city. Staffs are very co operative in assisting with special request for baby food as well as adult food. Sea food especially the prawns is something that was outstanding and we enjoyed throughout. My 2yrlo enjoyed the mixed noodles they served. The cottages are neat and good enough to accommodate 3 adults , backwater view from the room is an eye-treat. We stayed there as a 3 family group staying in a combination of 1 Stream Villa and 1 Presidential Villa. The Presidential Villa consists of 2 bedrooms and more importantly your very own private pool. The private pool is really spacious and can easily accomodate around 8-10 adults. The entire villa has an amazing nature ambience with the highlight being the amazing expansive view of the Vembanad lake right from the resort. This resort truly epitomises the backwater ambience that Alleppey is famous for. The entire property is nicely laid out with umpteen amount of trees giving us much shade and a cool breeze at all times. Also there is a central swimming pool (open to all ) at the heart of the resort which is really big and with views overlooking the Vembanad Lake giving the pool a kind of infinity theme.
From the moment we stepped in the resort till the time we left the next day, the entire staff was really courteous and highly hospitable to our requirements. There is a very big restaurant on the premise which serves delicious food at affordable rates with the breakfast being of Indian Buffet variety. The chef had personally come to our room at night to check with us if we had any special requirements for breakfast the next day which was a really good gesture. A special Thanks to John Abraham who was with us the entire time to make us feel extra special during our stay there.
The highlight of the trip was definitely the private pool which we had access to as part of Presidential Villa. Had truly some memorable moments in the pool playing and laughing and enjoying till early morning which would not have been possible with the central pool which closes at 7 pm. So my pick for a room at The World Backwater resort would be the Presidential Villa (Provided you are a group of 4-7 members)
The World is highly recommended and truly Value for Money and we would not hesitate to stay there again if the chance comes.

We had a 2 nights stay in the resort we had the best experience. The resort was good , the amenities, especially food was very tasty , I had a 3 yr old and I had asked for some customised food which they prepared and served . I was actually concerned about food since I am a vegetarian and in Kerela famous for Non Veg but the Resort ppl made sure that we had the best Veg food. The Pool was maintained very neatly when I had call them they mentioned only Swim Suits/Jersey types clothes are allowed so we were prepared for that, the rooms were maintained very neatly and service was extremely good. The only disappointment, we had availed boat service from the resort which was more than double the Cost what’s available outside. The Ayurvedic Spa was okay they had put genuine effort no comments on it but did not meet our expectations. They had kid play area well maintained and my kid enjoyed, we couple played Badminton in the court so it was a pleasant stay for the whole family. Their service was polite and I recommend this resort for others..

Our organization's corporate outing (a team of approx 60) was handled tastefully and within the budget. Our stay was spread across 2 days and the experience was excellent. Food and accommodation were extremely good. Group activities were also arranged by them. Must say that it was co-ordinated very well. Overall, a great weekend. Would recommend to families and corporates to spend time to choose this exotic location.

We have chosen stream villa for our 1 Night stay. It have bathtub also. We got in the reasonable price. We have really enjoyed the stay . Really wonderful day & night ambiance. Pool location nearer to the lake will give a WOW feeling always.
Positive: Looking neat and clean
: Professional staffs - Operation Manager Sreeraj, Front office Manager Akhil and Food and beverages Manager Aneesh were really helpful during the stay. Front office staff really welcoming . They welcome us with a welcome drink and then guide to the room as a facility tour. They provide arrangements for fishing in the small streams in the facility and we got one and kids were really excited. We can use cycles in the facility and same will provided by them. Food were very good by taste. Special orders they are making upon the request only. So that we can taste the fresh food. When discussed with Food and Beverages manager , he told me in detailed about the expansions they have planned in the facility and that was quite interesting. They have permitting alcohol consumption and in few months they will start an executive and longue bars for their customers. They will provide free Wi-Fi during the stay. Not good coverage for mobile networks
Negative : Sometimes felt bad smells from the streams in the facility.
Suggestions : Kids play area with toys and instruments : Evening tea snacks can be done in kerala style with different options. (We got French Fries as snacks for tea) : Directional boards in the road will helps to find the resort easily.

This property has sufficient number of trees giving us much shade and a cool breeze and flowering plants that enhance the beauty of resort. Famous tourist destination Kumarakom is only 20 minutes drive from resort.

We had our corporate team outing this feb . It was arranged very well by the resort Great Food Great Service and the best part is the fantastic view the resort offers .. The sunrise and sunset is just mesmerizing .. To experience the real Kerala Backwaters this is the place . The rooms are placed well near the lake and this resort ha a huge space to cycle around and a well maintained lawn in front of the restaurant by the lake were we had our evening party .. it was a very memorable trip . yes madam , there is Backwater cruise is famous in Alleppey, other than this Alleppey Beach , park, Ravikarunakar museum, Mullackal temple light house.
Will not suggest to any one. Very unprofessional staff,Rooms are very stinky. I ask them for thanddori roti in the restaurant then they replied sorry sir now days we dan't have TANDOOR in our restaurant. Total waste of money.
