Hotel's Favorite
The staff are excellent, the breakfast is great, the internet is fast, and we will definitely stay here again. We have stayed here numerous times over the past 15 years and have always appreciated the staff’s willingness to help us. The location is excellent and it is easy to get around NYC.

Hotel was in a decent area but parking is a real challenge. Valet was full so that wasn’t an option. Room was clean but very small. Could barely walk between end of bed and dresser on opposite wall. Breakfast was fine.

Prior to retirement, the last 25 years of my working life was spent teaching Hospitality Management, to both undergraduates and military personnel. The reason for the 'Title' is that on the first Saturday of our stay, I tootled down to the bar for a few beers, only to find it closed; I enquired of the reception guy, who couldn't be bothered to get out of his back office seat, just told me "the bar does not open on Sat or Sun; but when I questioned the logic and commercial expedience of such a practice, I was given a rather 'curt response' of " that's what we do here", with a very 'take it or leave it attitude'. Also, the breakfast service is available till 10.00am at the weekend, it's a 9.00am close Mon to Frid; which is OK if you have to go to work, but not for 'Vacationers' or holidaymakers who want a lie in. Too early for many of us. However, when the bar is open,you can't help but be bowled over by the Barmaid, 'Yomada' ( not sure how you spell that one), who was so welcoming and friendly, if not a 'tad loud'; but that seems to be a common characteristic among the good citizens of Brooklyn, who we loved, especially in some of the bars like the '3 Jolly Pidgeons' on 3rd / 68th st. Go there on Sat and Sun if staying here. Also on 3rd /86th The Red Bowl Chinese Restaurant, witch also has a nice bar for drinkers. In conclusion,as a previous commentor stated,"it's an OK Hotel", that we would use again and probably will next year.…

Not the best hotel. Not the worst hotel. Definitely an okay hotel. I’d happily stay there again. It was a little noisy and old, but it was clean, which is the most important thing to me. It was also nicely located near a subway stop.

Excellent location, clean rooms and friendly staff. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise and included eggs, waffles, fruit, etc. Located on 84th and 4th avenue, there are plenty of shops and restaurants within a two minute walk. Special thanks to three outstanding individuals: Zoey, Justin and Sonia - all who work at the front desk. They were repeatedly helpful with directions, great restuarant tips and info on making the best use of time during our week in Brooklyn.

Comfortable bed, clean room and water pressure in the shower were all very good. The location of the hotel is close to all shops and restaurants. Room was a decent size and clean. They served a nice continental breakfast and the staff was friendly. No complaints and if in the Bay Ridge area, I would recommend this hotel.

This hotel should be a gold mine. It is the only hotel in Bay Ridge. The rooms are small, dank and worn. You would think such a unique location would have a top-class hotel for families who visit the area. The check in person was very nice, but I was charged the wrong rate and was never emailed a bill following our stay. The halls are dark and have a bad smell. At this stage of the game you would expect a clean, comfortable room. But you won't find that here.

The hotel was easy to find, thank goodness to googlemaps cause it is Brooklyn. Be prepared to pay a valet $35 to park and retrieve your vehicle if you drive, as there's no onsite parking & your vehicle will.be parked a few blocks away. And if you think you'll be using your vehicle after 10pm, you can't because there won't be a valet available after 10pm. The front desk area is nice, along with the staff who were very personable & courteous. Checkin and out was easy. The luggage cart is so tiny, with kind of a triangular shape to it, open shopping cart look to it and I kinda know why cause the elevator is extremely small. I stayed on the top floor, 4th floor and stepping off the elevator, my nostrils were hit with this icky smell I can't even begin to try to explain. And later that night, that same smell was mixed with cigarette smoke, even though it's a smokeless hotel. I talked to one of the cleaning persons to see if she could suggest places nearby to eat. She was so sweet, as she went down to the front desk and brought to my room, alot of restaurant brochures, which I appreciated so much. My room was a double qn bed room with a sm coffee/tea maker, sm fridge/freezer and microwave. There was also a key locked safe where i could put my money instead of carrying it around with me. There was only a shower but that was ok cause there was instant hot water and a great shower head with good water pressure. The only cons were the view out of the window was of the next building over and an alleyway with trash. The mattresses need to be replaced as they had a raised lump down the center. And the other little ding was that no one is vacuuming under the beds cause I accidentally dropped something that went under the edge of the bed and I found a cheerio and lots of dust/dirt. …

Top of the line hotel. The Staff are highly professional and courteous. They my stay superb. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. The ability to valet park at the hotel was a critical choice for me.
