Austin at the front desk was awesome in helping me to meet a legal deadline. He went above and beyond and should be recognized for it. I think one of the most important and valuable things a good hotel can have in these trying times is great employees and Austin certainly fulfilled his part in this.

I'm not knocking the service from the staff during a pandemic. And this hotel is in a VERY convenient location. But you can do better. I'm a Marriott lifetime platinum member and I don't think I've stayed in more run down room. The 1980's furniture and bedding is tired and falling down. I've stayed here a few times over the years but I'm done. Try one of the new properties in Manhattan or find a AirBNB or VRBO here in Brooklyn. The Marriott Brooklyn Bridge should be a last resort.

I stayed there for a week and the entire staff was incredible. I was in NY for a family emergency, I had to give a virtual presentation and my internet signal was not strong enough from my room, so Angelo, guest services tried everything to make it work and Rohan, Director of Services went above and beyond. He took me to a private office in the hotel and made sure all worked. I wrote to the GM, Sam Ibrahim about his incredible staff and he went out of his way to meet me and thank me. I continue to have personalized service throughout my stay from all of them. My housekeeper Marva, as I call her Marva the marvelous went out of her way to leave me the water I so desperately wanted daily and with most places closed. The hotel was spotless, the staff friendly, the leadership outstanding. There will never be another NY hotel for me!! They define the word "hospitality".

We were in N.Y. for an unpleasant occasion and we stayed at the Marriott. It was the first time at this hotel. Modern, and very nice, clean rooms. Had a very pleasant conversation with the hotel doorman Michael, from England. I would stay at this hotel again.

While this property could be one of the nicer in-city Marriotts -- the rooms are bigger than most in Manhattan, the hotel is relatively new so not yet showing its age, and the public spaces are nice enough -- the services offered are still barebones a year after Covid started. No food or drink of any kind, anywhere in the hotel -- no restaurants, no room service, no coffee, nothing. This is at a time when restaurants are open for indoor dining in NYC. The nearest place to get coffee in the morning is 4 blocks away, and the in-room coffee maker is among the worst I've seen. How difficult could it be to set up a coffee stand in the lobby? If you are just looking for a room for the night, this property is fine. If you are looking for a full (or even limited) service hotel, though, I would look elsewhere.
