The William Vale is a contemporary luxury hotel in the heart of Williamsburg, featuring world-class hospitality, breathtaking views, elevated public green space, and beyond. All 183 rooms and suites at The William Vale feature floor-to-ceiling windows, open-air balconies, and spectacular views of New York City and its boroughs. Award-winning chef Andrew Carmellini of The Dutch, Locanda Verde, and more, directs The William Vale’s distinct culinary concepts: Leuca, a Southern Italian restaurant with wood-fired coastal cuisine in a casually elegant atmosphere; Westlight, a 22nd-floor rooftop bar, serving rare spirits, craft cocktails and small plates with panoramic skyline views; and Mister Dips, a retrofitted 1974 Airstream, serving burgers, fries, and seasonal dairy dips in Vale Park. Located across the river from Manhattan, The William Vale is easily accessible from LGA (15 min) and JFK (25 min) airports by taxi, and a 10-minute walk to the Bedford L subway stop into Manhattan.

Overrated and not up to all the hype. The ONLY saving grace is the view of Gotham city which is AMAZING day and especially at night. The foyer of the building does not feel like a hotel and more like an apartment block entrance. The staff were nice especially Darrell the concierge and Daniel on reception. Sadly it goes downhill from tiny, dirty rooms with no desk or chair and many of the furnishings were tattered. Breakfast is the biggest scam I have ever encountered as you get $40 credit per day and it is only ROOM SERVICE not a buffet. You spend around $40 per person with drink and service charges! If you chose to eat at restaurants next door Leuca then credits are not even transferable. RIDICULOUS!!! Next the hotel resort fees which are very high comes with the smallest 2 bottles of water! The bed and pillows are soft so would advise asking for extra. The pool area was not open so cannot comment and the rooftop restaurant probably attracts a crowd and the staff working there clearly think it’s all that. Sorry not impressed!!!

My partner and I chose to do a bit of a staycation for the 4th this year. Instead of going to the hamptons we opted for The Vale. Crystal made us feel right at home with her inviting smile . She directed us to the huge umbrella covering the lounge chair that was as soft as a cloud and large enough to fit 3 people comfortably. The drinks came out fast and cold as alana and nate made sure we were taken care of during sweltering heat. As always the staff at the pool did a fantastic job of making sure we felt like royalty during out stay. Cant wait to go back!

The staff at this hotel is one of the most compassionate, understanding, and willing to work with you bunch of associates I have come across in my professional career. Yasmin in particular was able to be an asset in assisting me plan a few aspects of my stay in a tough situation, and will always appreciate that, as well as the assistance of the rest of the staff which I wish I knew more of there names. Thank you all.

My partner and I booked a weekend here and everything was absolutely top-notch service, from the front desk to those at valet and all restaurant staff. In particular one person stood out, Darrell from the concierge desk was not only helpful, empathetic and a pleasure to chat with, he alone solidified we would most certainly go back considering the amount of effort he in particular put in to go above and beyond for our stay. Thank you to all at the William Vale and especially Darrell G for being a highlight to our trip.

Today is my birthday and my boyfriend surprised me with a 1 night stay at the hotel The moment I walked in the decor was very elegant and nice, Yasmin checked me in and she always seemed to smile at me and asked me what I was going to do for my birthday, she came up and surprised me with a bottle of wine!!! I was so happy and I will most likely choose this hotel again! Great service

The front desk is clueless on surrounding properties for dinner (“I don’t know, you try them”) and the biggest issue I had was the bathroom, where the water was cold and the drain was a literal giant hole in the shower. I reccomend other people tore like the Williamsburg Hotel.

We got to the hotel super early after taking a red eye from vegas. We met Adrianna who was super nice and had a room ready for us. I could have hugged her as we were expecting to have to go to a cafe or something until it was ready and we were exhausted. We even got an upgrade with views over Manhattan. The room was beautiful, very modern, and chic. The bathroom was lovely, and that shower! I needed a little assistance so spoke to the concierge Daniela who was so helpful and super friendly. I got some recommendations from Daniel who was never wrong. He steered us in the right direction. The hotel and the people in it were just amazing and made our stay well worth the trip over from the UK via Vegas. Thank you so much.

Hotel is nice but rooms were tiny for $500 per night! the rooftop restaurant was closed to guests on Saturday!??? That was the draw of staying there! Coffee in the morning was cold both days and they would not allow a one hour extension on the check out on Sunday morning so we could grab food without all our luggage. Overall - average!

mbgray2018, Thank you for your review. I am sorry you experienced some challenges during your stay with us. Unfortunately, during your stay, there was a private event at Westlight. We highly recommend reservations due to their high demand. We are always happy to store luggage after checkout so that you may freely enjoy your afternoon without that worry after your checkout in case a late checkout is not available. Please reach out upon your next visit so that we may ensure a flawless stay.

The noise level in our room was awful. We were unable to sleep. There were loud night clubs close by we could actually hear the music in our room. To make matters worse the upstairs lounge night club was so loud we couldn’t sleep. Management was not helpful.

The William Vale sits between McCarren Park and the waterfront, on what is considered, the hippiest neighborhood in Brooklyn.....Williamsburg. This 22 story building reigns over this district with an array of gleaming glass propped up as if it was based on stilts. The hotel significantly nods to local artists by displaying their works in public areas and the rooms. I enjoyed my 'Gotham King with Balcony' room with an interior consisting of light wood floors, gold and black furniture and geometric-print rugs. The chamber was also equipped with all manner of high-tech room appliances. But the star feature was the balcony as well as the impressive design element in the floor-to-ceiling barn doors opening to the furnished balcony overlooking the cityscape. The Vale's drawcard is the 22nd floor roof top bar ( Westlight ) which has a spectacular panoramic city view from the seasonal outdoor terrace. The ground floor Italian restaurant ( Leuca ) is open all-day, where you can dig into authentic wood fired pizza and fresh cut pasta. I tried the Black Tonnarelli, a shrimp and calamari concoction....it was delicious. A 60 foot heated pool is open during warmer months as well as a year round small but adequate gym. When the cooler months come, guests can enjoy an ice rink and a winter spa facility on the terrace. So, if you want accommodations plum in the heart of Williamsburg, in a hotel with a buzzy rooftop bar and a swanky Italian restaurant.....................then try the......,,,,,,,,,.. ............William Vale..................Hotel on Stilts.
