My son and I stayed 5 nights here and would go back happily. Comfortable beds, air conditioned room, clean bathrooms, delicious breakfasts, and warm Caribbean hospitality from Faye and Archer. We were 2 blocks from the Q and took the train every morning and returned late without problems. I always felt safe even when walking alone. Also was good value.

The owners are lovely people who present a clean and comfortable bed and breakfast filled with homey touches and lots of convenient amenities. Beds, pillows and linens are comfortable and the bathrooms are clean and renovated nicely. Breakfast is abundant with a prepared main offering and many choices in fresh fruit, cereals, etc. The address is convenient to the subway and adjacent to a park. We would most certainly return for another stay.

We absolutely loved our one week visit at the A and Faye Bed and Breakfast in Brooklyn for our son’s wedding two weeks ago.

It truly was a great place to stay! The owners, Phil and Faye, are extremely helpful and friendly and you're just steps away from great restaurants, Prospect Park and the Q subway to Manhattan. The breakfast was outstanding, especially a Trinidad speciality called salted fish, and what a wonderful porch for evening cocktails! It's the perfect home-base for a NYC visit. I’ll be back!

BTW, I was slightly nervous on the front-end as a heat wave of 95 plus temps was moving through during our stay, but the owner just installed new air conditioners and made the room feel the inside meat locker. Never slept better. Oh, and one more thing, Phil plays some mean steel drums. Just ask.

We had a great time here. Phil was taking really good care of us. Rooms are clean. Church ave subway is less than 5 min walk. Times square 30 min by metro. We rented the chaconia and orchid rooms on the top floor and therefore had the shared bathroom of the top floor for ourselves. Phil is making a room with private bathroom out of the livingroom. It's looking really nice. Check the website to see if it's ready.

I grew in Park Slope on the other side of the park and from now on when I visit home..we will be staying in our home away from home. Thank you Phil and Faye. Blessings!

I am so happy we found this place to stay -- we expect to stay here whenever we come to visit family in Brooklyn. Everything the other reviews say is true. Very comfortable, large and spotless bathroom (sharing the bath was no problem at all) and very very nice people, guests and host alike.

Myself and my sister stayed here for two nights and loved the place. Great location, opposite Prospect Park and a 10mins walk from the main street that has plenty of bars/restaurants. The twin room was a lovely decent size, spotless and the bathroom was also pristine. But the selling point – the owners with the best breakfast in town! Can still hear the Trinidad drums! Would return in a flash!

I stayed here with my family, my sister's family and my mom, for my brother's wedding. It was clean, comfortable, convenient, and just right for us. The breakfasts were tasty, with a range of choices, and relaxed. Close to the subway and park. Wifi worked well. Phil and Fay were very kind and responsive. Would definitely stay again!

Parking is on the Streets and it’s free However if there is a problem with obtaining a proper spot to park and if there is available space in our driveway we do allow our guest to use it for free. But it’s not part of the package.

Does each room come with a private bathroom? Or do they share a common bathroom?
Answer from Philbert A
Brooklyn, New York
The two rooms on the second floor which is the Magnolia and the Wild Flower share a common bathroom. Soon to come is the two bed room suite on the third floor with its own private bathroom. It will be ready in a couple of weeks. Phil and Faye.
