We stayed at A and Faye for 2 nights the end of December and it was cold!! However, our hosts were warm and welcoming as was our room! We were lucky to have the first floor room with bath, since we had luggage and not a lot of muscle. We enjoyed meeting and talking with other guests, and Philbert was very helpful and even played a little holiday tune on his steel drum!
Rooms included amenities that showed the hosts had really thought about the needs of guests, including reading lamps, bathroom accessories, etc.
The home is just a few blocks from our daughter's apartment so we consider this our new place to stay when we visit!

Just an update on this B&B....we just had another visit here and it's still a great option for a stay in the Prospect Park location. It's close to the park, many restaurants and subways. It's impeccably maintained and Philbert, the owner, is always there for you and willing to go the extra mile for whatever your needs are.

We stayed one week at Phil's and we couldn't choose a better option for our stay. The surroundings are very nice, next to Prospect Park, worths a visit. The position is very convenient to reach Manhattan, given the nearby subway station (8 mins walk) and also felt safe at night. Home is very cosy, beds are comfy, and bathrooms are extremely clean and large. Breakfast, homemade by Phil few minutes before being served, is tasty, rich and varied. Phil is the kindest, nicest and most lovely man. We felt like being put up by a friend and, when we come back, A & Faye will surely be our choice for accommodation.
Goodbye Phil, yours has been indeed a home away from home.

I had a beautiful 4 days with at A & Fayes BNB. I had a rough arrival with flight mishaps and when I finally arrived at 7am, Archer was waiting for me and went out of his way to carry my luggage to my beautiful room!! 2 hours later a wonderful breakfast was served. The rest of my days were so wonderful there.... this BNB is close to the beautiful Prospect Park, Brooklyn Library, Team fields, Food and Beverage, and the Subways to Manhattan and Coney Island. It is the perfect location with clean and comfortable rooms. On my departure, they made sure the Taxi was called and ready to take me back to the airport. Traveling alone, I felt safe and secure at this BNB and HIGHLY RECOMMEND it to anyone who is visiting the area.

I simply loved my stay A & Faye B&B. We were a group of a couple + two elderly ladies.
Rooms are exactly immaculate as described, absolutely spotless, and beautifully decorated, basic in a Victorian style but with the personal touch of the owners.
Beds are extremely comfortable. Quite quiet neighborhood.
Phil is a gentleman, amazing host, it seems he works hard to maintain all that quality of service. The breakfast is the paramount, make us feel pampered with so many fresh options of excellent quality!
I would not only recommend A & Faye B&B, but will also return in another opportunity.

I am so thankful that I stumbled upon this gem when searching places to stay near Prospect Park in Brooklyn. We spent the first four nights of January 2018 at A & Faye B & B. After a LONG drive from Tennessee pulling a trailer with our daughter's belongings, it was such a treat to be warmly welcomed by Phil into their lovely home. Four of us stayed up on the top floor in the Orchid & Chaconia rooms where we had comfortable linens, access to a small fridge & microwave, & a large, well-equipped bathroom. We got caught there during the "bomb cyclone" which was a bit of a shock to us Southerners but coming back to the Archer's warm & cozy home each day was very welcome. And it was also a bonus to be provided such a yummy breakfast each morning that included warm & cold choices along with fruit & drinks. As mentioned in a previous review, if you're really lucky, Phil will treat you to a song on the steel drum. We look forward to visiting our daughter, whose apartment is nearby, when there is not so much snow on the ground & we can explore the park area more. Oh, and the subway is just a short stroll away. Thanks again Phil & Faye & we look forward to coming back again in the future. :-)

We had a lovely six night stay with Phil and Faye in December. It was very cold in New York during our stay and it was great to come back to a warm and cozy room every night after being out all day. The location is great the subway is a five minute walk and you are in the city in 30 minutes. Prospect park is also very close and is nice to walk through. I was so happy we decided to stay in Brooklyn as it gave us a chance to get away from the touristy feel and have a more authentic stay. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful and it was nice to meet the other guests. Phil was very friendly and accommodating with us. The bed and Breakfast was very good value for money as the rooms are large, with big beds and a tv with many channels. I was very happy in our decision to stay in Brooklyn.

My husband and I recently stayed at this very clean and cozy bed and breakfast. From the outside you may not expect just how nice this converted house is! It's near Prospect Park and near the train. The owner is friendly and attentive and a great cook!!! We loved our stay and will definitely return!

Parking is on the Streets and it’s free However if there is a problem with obtaining a proper spot to park and if there is available space in our driveway we do allow our guest to use it for free. But it’s not part of the package.

Does each room come with a private bathroom? Or do they share a common bathroom?
Answer from Philbert A
Brooklyn, New York
The two rooms on the second floor which is the Magnolia and the Wild Flower share a common bathroom. Soon to come is the two bed room suite on the third floor with its own private bathroom. It will be ready in a couple of weeks. Phil and Faye.
