Detailed Reviews
My husband and 2 children recently had an 8 night stay at Hotel Le Bleu. We were all around very pleased with our stay. Our room was tastefully decorated, and the beds very comfortable. The staff were very friendly, attentive and did a great job making sure our needs were met. We appreciated the balcony with our room, as it was a nice place to relax after a long day of medical visits for our child. Our room was cleaned very well prior to our stay, and because of the extent of our stay, we simply did an exchange of towels outside of our room, as well as garbage drop off. (our choice) There are many diverse places to eat with in one to two blocks of this hotel. (even though all meals were delivered to our hotel due to Covid) Plus, there is a beautiful park right across the street. We felt very comfortable with our stay
We without a doubt will stay here again, as our monthly visits to Brooklyn, NY warrant, and we look forward to seeing the staff again. I realize this is not a guarantee, but we were allowed a later check out due to our flight not leaving until late afternoon, and the fact that our daughter was not feeling well from her medical treatments. THAT goes a long way with customer support and satisfaction in my book. Thank you Hotel Le Bleu!

We have stayed at this hotel many times because we have family in the neighborhood. It is clean and safe. It has parking (an extra cost). It is minimalist, but has everything you need. The staff is cheerful & competent, but beyond checkin you rarely need them. It is close (4 blocks) to a major subway station.
Over the past 3 years they have worked VERY hard at keeping noisy patrons with drugs, weed & loud parties out of the hotel. This visit there were none - the best ever-especially compared to our previous visit in March 2021.
This visit they provided very useful hand sanitizers and a couple of bottled waters. Very thoughtful!
Since the Covid pandemic, there are far fewer AirBnB options in Park Slope and no other hotels.

Very pleasant hotel on the whole, but be warned: the accessible rooms do not have any door on the bathroom! Just a shower curtain that does not go down to the floor. This somewhat ridiculous, I imagine there was some weird change in how ADA code enforcement was changed because the "non-accessible" rooms have a sliding door that seems easy enough to use with a wheelchair. But yessh, I do not want to share a room with an open toilet with my partner.
AC worked fine for me, the guy at check in was very helpful and I appreciated everyone who worked there. It's a mid-price hotel and it's overall fine (**especially if you're bringing a car!) but wow, that bathroom situation is nuts unless you're a solo traveler.

This is a decent hotel choice, especially if you are on a budget. The location is good with quick subway access to Manhattan. For a moderate price you can stay in a relatively spacious clean room with great views of the Manhattan skyline. They are experiencing a few issues with managing an older building. For example the front door of the hotel doesn’t close properly, and there was a plumbing issue in my room that took 3 hours to resolve. The elevator is sometimes quirky, have to sometimes push the down button to get the door to open. They did get me a new room, but I should have asked sooner. The room design uses space well and the shower is great, with a nice big overhead shower head and a handheld. I would also recommend they hire a bellman so you can leave bags there when checking in and out and to assist with calling a taxi. Also they should put plastic laundry bags in the rooms to help keep the rooms tidier and for convenience. Finally, they charge $59 if you check in early, which seemed a bit steep. All in, with a few changes and some capital investment this hotel could be a solid 4 stars, especially given the modest prices and clean rooms with great views on the west side of the hotel. If you are renting a Uhaul this hotel is right next to a big Uhaul rental and storage unit, very convenient as we rented a truck the next day for a move. There is no restaurant or bar but there are eating establishments and subway stations nearby.

TLDR: Make another choice.
In early November we were so excited to book a king room with a Manhattan view while visiting family and enjoying NYC at Christmas. Booked online through the hotel directly and took advantage of the manager discount offered through their site.
Recieved confirmation email with a conf# but no room details. Called ahead of the trip to confirm and when we arrived we were placed in a room with 2 double beds and a balcony with a view of the buildings across the street. With only the original email with no details, the hotel claimed they could only see details for the room they put us in...AND charged us the same rate for.
We were offered an accessible room w a king bed which we declined because we are not in need of accessibility and didn't want to take the room from someone who may need it. That was the only consolation offered by the hotel. We spent half of our evening in a circular conversation with apathetic staff about our reservation and what they had in the system.
Parts of the shelving in the room were held together with scotch tape. The heavy glass door for the bathroom (that is inches away from the bed) was dirty and covered in handprints. The wall heater made the room so dry our sinuses were wrecked. The toilet paper holder would not stay hooked and the roll constantly fell on the floor.
We felt forced to stay in the room because there was nowhere else to go and we couldn't afford to just walk away from a $400+ room rate. [Which is an insane price point even for NY standards given the condition of the room.]
We have been married over 18 years and did not enjoy sleeping apart. Not to mention that my husband is tall and looked like Buddy the Elf on the double bed. Not exactly the restful nights of sleep we needed after days spent walking all over Manhattan and Brooklyn.
Frankly, it ruined the start of our trip. We were frustrated and angry and felt so foolish. We were expecting to spoil ourselves w the nice, expensive room with a view and ended up getting completely ripped off.
And to top it all off, we've tried to handle this offline by reaching out to the GM via the email posted on the site and have not heard back in over a week. No make-goods. No refunded rate for our lesser room. Nothing.
We were also not the only guests complaining and asking the staff for amends. Several times as we walked through the lobby someone else was at the desk trying to resolve an issue and asking for refunds.
Never again. Do not waste your time or your money here. They don't seem to care one bit about their guests. We are out hundreds of dollars that we shouldn't have been charged at the hands of their absurd and shady reservation process.
Thanks for making our experience so utterly disappointing. You still have every opportunity to make this right for us.
The cost of doing better business should be YOUR expense and never that of your guests.

My second stay here. On first visit my room was not cleaned over three night stay. I was told that housekeeping needed to be requested.
On my second stay I asked specifically that my trim be cleaned and was told that they did not have enough staff to do that on Sunday morning but would do Monday morning. It was not done and I had to ask someone to remove trash and bring towels and coffee pods and take trash.
Day three I returned at end of day to again find room untouched.
On day four my room was cleaned but no coffee pods for the morning g so once again I had to go to the desk.
On packing up and leaving I found cockroach under my luggage.
I won’t be staying here in future trips to the area.

The room itself was beautiful! And so my style! HOWEVER, I will NEVER book this hotel again. The list of amenities is a joke! The fluffy robe and slippers? Gotta request it. A fully stocked bar? Hasn't happened since before COVID, why is it still on your site? There was no water in the room. No ice bucket. So I placed an order through Instacart for water and snacks. To add injury to insult, housekeeping stole several cold water from the fridge in my room. I'm a cancer survivor that has to take opioids for pain. I have no idea if they went in my medicine or anything else since they were bold enough to swipe my waters. When I mentioned this at checkout I was given a 10% discount off of my final payment which came out to around $20. I was supposed to be receiving a call from the manager.
The next day I had a mystery charge. No one can explain what this charge is nor how I received it. The manager refuses to speak to me directly. I now have to deal with my bank in order to get a refund.
Professionalism and common courtesy can go a long way. And unfortunately there's very little of that amongst the staff.

Some aspects of this hotel were lovely, but I cannot give it more than two stars for a few of reasons. One is that the bath towels were seriously not much larger than the hand towels, and were in extremely poor condition including being stained and frayed. I thought about asking for new towels, but then saw "fresh" towels on a cart for room service, and they were all in terrible condition. I am a fairly small woman (American size 6), and I could not wrap the bath towel around myself. The second major issue with this hotel is that the bedding was also in terrible condition. The sheets were pilled and not entirely clean looking. I found hairs and lint in my bed, which completely grossed me out. The mattress was also extremely soft and sinking in the middle. Basically, all of the bedding and linens need a major refresh. The rooms are actually very well designed and attractive, but there are many issues that need to be addressed, including the fact that the bathroom door would not stay closed (it's like a barn door, but it just kept sliding opened and there was no way to latch it closed), and the toilet paper holder was broken. If these issues could be dealt with, I would happily stay at this hotel again. I do think it has a lot of potential to be very nice.

This hotel is not it! We ended up moving hotels because half of the lights in our rooms did not work. The quartz was broken and jagged in the shower. The lamp was duct taped together and still didn't work. The sheets were scratchy and the bed was lumpy. There is no breakfast as advertised. We chose it for its proximity to Park Slope and it was easy to walk to lots of things nearby, but it wasn't worth it for us.
The staff was very nice and considerate but short of an electrician there wasn't a lot they could do for us.
If you are looking for a slightly more affordable spot with easy access to Park Slope and don't mind the lights not working, it's perfectly fine, but we were looking for something more reliable.

I am very sorry to learn that you did not fully enjoy the service that we hold to such a high degree of importance in our hotel. We deeply regret to learn that you found this experience to be so terrible due to lights, shower, and issues that should have been immediately addressed like the need for hotel updates and maintenance checks. We are sorry that the breakfast was not what you have expected but we are constantly reviewing customer feedback in order to make improvements for the future. We do appreciate the compliments to our front desk staff and we hope you'll return and let us show you a far better experience.

Room was amazing but not so impressed with the service and management. Came in with a reservation booked through Priceline. Upon arrival they fount my reservation and asked for ID and a card for standard deposit. It’s been a two weeks just happen to look at my statement for that card I was charged $126 for what I’m assuming was the room rate, been trying to get in contact with them to dispute it. And got the run around smh

Dear xavierw574, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I am so sorry to hear that your most recent stay with us did not meet your expectations of quality service, accommodations, and hospitality. Regarding the deposit, in accordance with our policies, we were required to charge a security deposit. The amount is released upon check-out, once an inspection of the room has been made; however, it can take within 5-7 business days to appear on your account, depending upon your financial institution. Nonetheless, your comfort and convenience are our top priority, and we are addressing your comments with our staff and re-evaluating our guest service policies to ensure that a similar situation does not occur in the future. It is always our goal to give you a 5-star experience, and I apologize for failing to do so. I hope that we will impress you with exemplary service during future visits.
