Hotel's Favorite
Overall we'd rate this a good hotel experience. The hotel and our room were spotless and the beds were super comfortable. We also enjoyed the complimentary breakfast, which provided the usual eggs, sausage, pancakes, bagels, cereal, yogurt, etc. Staff interactions were friendly and helpful and the price was great.
Cons: Hotel is located in a shady part of town, off-street parking was not great (especially due to the surroundings), no decent restaurants within walking distance (if you felt safe enough to walk at night), and the hotel is located within feet of the above-ground subway, which was right outside our window and made for noisy sleep environment.

This is our second stay here and my wife and I have enjoyed our accommodations. Our first stay was just after they opened and they had yet to start the complementary breakfast. This trip occurred as a blizzard blew through with snow and very cold temperatures. The service has been excellent in caring for our needs. The first night, our room was a little cool and we had trouble adjusting the temperature. We asked about this the next morning and when we returned that night our room was perfectly cozy with much needed warmth.
I love staying with Holiday Inn Express and one of my favorite features is the complimentary breakfast. The selection of items is good and the food is tasty. I do have a couple of suggestions from this visit. The oatmeal was very watered down and seemed inedible. They could be better served by providing oatmeal packets and hot water. Also, in the fridge there was milk that was labeled “thickened medical milk”. I don’t know if this was a mistake but regular milk would be preferable.
This property is in a perfect location for us and is very reasonable in price.

Very disappointing and not up to standards. It’s very apparent that this property just recently opened and was not ready to at all.
The property is in a great location for my needs but from the moment we walked in and saw evidence of construction (see picture of scaffolding) and general uncleanliness, it was clear this place was not ready. The elevators were filthy with visible dirt and stickiness on the floors.
The room was overall nice and large for a NYC hotel however again sub par. There were no blankets on the beds, only sheets. No coffee maker, no cups, no hand soap. The room was frigid and the thermostat wasn’t even hooked up. We realized this the next morning when we complained about the chilliness and the front desk agent stated the thermostats didn’t work. So a frigid room with no blankets or comforters is the norm, apparently. You also hear every activity, door closing, and person in the halls.
The bathroom was spacious but also a glaring example of rushed construction - filthy shower floor, unpainted trim, mid cut tile pieces. (See photos)
Forget breakfast. Literally the only thing provided was a pancake machine and coffee/tea. The presentation was downright embarrassing for the hotel. Empty chaffing dishes lined the counter, empty refrigerator, empty containers. So much for a free breakfast. (Again, see pictures)
For now, stay away until this place gets its operation in line. It’s would be such a disappointment, except for the fact this stay was nearly $300 a night. Consider elsewhere.

I had invited my sister and her family up a few months ago and they stayed at the Inn. Check-in is supposed to be 3:00 p.m. however by 7:00 p.m. they were still not able to get a room. Absolutely nothing was removed from the fee as a courtesy.
This time my son and his wife came up but other family were staying in the house so I put them comfortably near our home and the Holiday Inn Bushwick. They did not check in until after 7:00 so it was not a problem this time however a charge appeared on my car a few days later. I called the hotel and they said in addition to the $100 incidental they charge $17.20 for the supposed free breakfast Wi-Fi and some other excuse. This is not fair to their customers as once you pay hotels.com any other site and or them and it says total due you should not be charged hidden fees under the table! I wish my son had not been too tired to even take advantage of the free Wi-Fi and woke up just in enough time to check out at 11:00 and missed the breakfast at least I would have felt I got my $17.20 worth🤨. Oh and another thing the photo online shows parking and also mentions a pool there is no pool at no parking except on street with restrictions so if you do not like getting up at 8:00 a.m. you got to find a parking spot early the hotel should have at least secured with Department of Transportation free parking in front of it for their customers to watch their car at least from that window in that ghetto fab Broadway area.

I absolutely hated my stay here. The staff didn’t give a crap, bad attitude, tried to charge me $75 for early check in (LOL) , the guests were weird, like a bunch of young sort of gangster wannabes with black masks covering almost all of their face who were roaming around the lobby getting free coffee, noisy guests too, I felt very unsafe in the area, I thought it would be edgy and cool but it’s just super sketchy and not nice. I got a room that was beside the lobby so I could even hear people talking in the lobby.

Stayed for a week with our 6 year old daughter and felt very welcome. Cozy room with a clean bathroom, fridge, coffee machine and microwave. Streetsounds can be bothering at night, but our room faced a side street so that was acceptable. Everybody working there was no-nonsense, friendly and doing a good job. Breakfast was pretty complete. When arriving we received a snack and drink, and when we checked out our luggage was stored so that we could still spend some time in the city. The location is awesome as it has a direct metro-connection to Manhattan and JFK. The surrounding makes a slightly shady impression but we never felt unsafe.

The staff was friendly and helpful, specially Rosa in the restaurant area. The location was really convenient, just a few steps from the subway station, where we can go to any of the main attractions of NYC. The room cleaned every day and as usually we received a gift for been IHG member.
