Our stay was very poor. It began by the hotel putting us in the wrong room, as we had a booking for a king room and we were placed in a double twin on the basement floor where the room looked unfinished, there was no wifi signal down there, and the tv had no signal. When we finally moved to our correct room, there was no hot water for 3 days of our stay and we asked about getting it fixed every day, yet it was always cold no matter what until the last day when we were able to finally get some warm water. The room conditions were dirty, and the air vents were covered in dust as shown in the picture attached. Our room on the second floor had wifi but a very weak signal and barley worked, and the tv also had no signal. Each day when we came back to the hotel out cards didn't work and we had to ask for new ones. The front desk workers seemed to always be watching netflix or on personal calls and it wasn't very professional given we had so many issues.

Shady and unsafe hotel. We were scared to stay there. Manager ten refused to give a refund for the second night we were scheduled to stay there. We asked to get out of the second-night stay at 8:00 am after our first night. They refused.

The good:
Supportive, soft bed. Flat pillows—subjective
Free secure parking
Unexpectedly quiet—see below

The bad:
They allow smoking in some rooms not separated by floor.

The opinion:
The block it’s on is totally scary and directly under the bqe. Now walk a block towards the bklyn navy yard or the other way and your surrounded by $1.8m townhouses. The projects are across the large blvd that it’s on. No one bothered me, but I made sure my blonde hair was covered when walking to reduce attention to myself. In the surrounding blocks there is gentrification happening and mixed incomes. As with this kind of neighborhood in nyc—it’s a block to block culture/safety swinging pendulum.

I wouldn’t not recommend staying here, especially if you’re on a budget, but understand what you’re getting into.

Loved the hotel and great location and food options. The room was clean, the Wi-Fi was great, and everything was up to the standards. The front desk staff was helpful with area knowledge. Awesome stay!

The hotel "accidentally" rented out our room to someone else while it was booked to us? They rob us!!! Stole a laptop, a passport and $150 cash.

If this was an honest mistake, the new renter would have had to show valid ID.
Anyone who shows valid ID would not have stolen anything as it would have been very easy for the cops to find the person.

This was an inside job.

The hotel did not charge us for the room (approx $500) but the laptop was worth $2,400, the passport and the $150 cash were also missing.

I would NEVER stay at this hotel ever again!!!!.

I only stayed one night and left early in the morning. I was comfortable, the room was simple but everything was fine. The treatment of the staff was pleasant and the best thing about the hotel seemed to me to be its good location.

CUSTOMER SERVICE AND SAFETY: Besides dirty rooms and lack of hotel security, this was the WORST PART of our stay and completely unacceptable. During our stay, we returned home one night to find a man drunken and exposed outside in the hallway outside of our room. I alerted the front desk to this and a man came to attempt to wake the man, but eventually just left him there. I have photos of this, but I will spare potential customers the grief of looking at them.

Approximately an hour later, the police came and attempted to get the man into a room down the hallway, but were unable to detain the man.

About an hour after the police left, the man returned into the hallway, and my partner and I were roused from our sleep to the sound of the man forcefully urinating against and under our door, a pool of which I had to step over in order to get to the front desk. The man was slumped outside our hotel door and I told him to come to the lobby so that I could explain to the front desk again the situation.

The girl at the front desk was somewhat at a loss for what to do, she was able to move us into a different room but I asked her to call the police back and she said they had already been called, I tried to explain that this was now a criminal offense but was not met with any assistance here.

We were moved into a room at approximately 4:05 AM that was not well-cleaned, the top bed sheet was soiled and still had dirty towels.

The Sunday we checked out, I was assured by the front desk that I would receive a call from management within the day. I did not. I called or emailed every day for two weeks and the hotel management refused to refund me for the full weekend.

The entirety of the situation was handled poorly by hotel staff and left both my partner and me feeling both disgusted and unsafe at the hotel. I was of the mindset that upper management would take this into consideration, but they do not seem to care.

Room Tip: No rooms here are good. Off the bottom floor would be your best bet, but still not great.
