Very satisfied. Clean and modern room. Staff was excellent. I am most interested in cleanliness, a comfortable bed and a good shower. We were also able to park, which is a major convenience in Brooklyn. Desk staff was informative and congenial.

The hotel has been renovated with a lovely, bright and airy lobby. The beds were extremely comfortable, bathroom was adequate. Because it's NY, the room was a little tight, so if anyone was sitting at the desk, they'd have to get up to let the other person get to the bed. Great location for my needs. Staff was polite (could have been friendlier). The free breakfast was good-pretty standard, and plentiful, usual cereal (hot & cold), eggs, sausages, fruit, yogurt, bagels, bread, English muffins, etc. I'd definitely stay there again. There was parking in the back, extra, but good not to have to look for a space. There was a very small workout room too.

I had a room on the 6th floor. It was quiet, and both the bed and the pillows were extremely comfortable. The only issue I had was that it took a little time for the hot water in the shower to come on - Otherwise, I had a great stay.
They do have “Grab n” Go” breakfast which is a yogurt, nutri grain bar and muffin. The location of the hotel is on the border of Sunset Park. I would definitely stay here again when I visit friends again and I hope to get the same room!
Parking is $30 a night but I found parking on the street with hardly any issues.

I just completed a 3 day stay at Comfort Inn Prospect Park. I have never written a review of a hotel, but bad reviews had me concerned about the stay, before I visited. I wanted to reassure people that based on my experience, this was a clean hotel in a very good area of Brooklyn. It is close to 2 or 3 subway lines with easy access to the rest of the city. Fifth Ave (1.5 blocks up 20th street) has many nice restaurants for lunch or dinner. Prospect Park is walkable. The staff was friendly and helpful. It's Brooklyn so the bedroom is a little smaller than you might find in a suburban Comfort Inn, but it was sufficient and bathroom was very large. I never noticed any un-expected noise. If I go back to Brooklyn I would book again. I did not bring a car, so I can not comment on parking.

The stay was lovely, the rooms are clean and very modern. The staff are friendly and help.
The breakfast was good although during our stay there was only one staff trying to keep with the demand during busy period.
The location of the hotel is situated in a great place 5 min work to the subway and there’s a laundrette 3 mins down the road which is highly recommended

The hotel is located close to the subway station and is close to many restaurants and food outlets.
The room itself is so small but the beds are very comfy. The whole place is clean and the breakfast is really good as per the American standards.
The price is high compared to the size of the room, the parking is for $30 daily.

Not a family friendly/kid friendly hotel.
Domestic disputes goes on all night. The general manager is well aware of what goes on here, yet does nothing about it.
Random people loiter outside of the hotel, very unsafe.
Rooms are so small, makes it hard to walk.
No guaranteed parking.
The rooms have dirty wash towels.
The customer service here is by far the worst I’ve ever encountered.
The breakfast consist of a muffin and apple sauce?!
There’s no WiFi
The thermostat goes in and out
The staff is unprofessional, along with the “manger”.
The noise, the fights, the unprofessionalism is not worth it.

This hotel seems to be used by many tourists planning to catch a Cunard cruise the following day. That is not a negative- our room was comfortable and the included breakfast was very good. They arranged a van for us the following morning to accommodate our humongous suitcases! They can make arrangements for early check-in (if available) for $100 if before 10 am. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

+1
The Prospect Park Comfort Inn is within moderate walking distance of Park Slope in Brooklyn, which made it ideal as a base for me while visiting relatives there, though the real heart of Park Slope with the restaurants and coffee shops are a few long blocks away.
The hotel is modern and nicely appointed, if a bit on the cramped side. I was fortunate enough to get their one room with a balcony which has a nice view of the Freedom Tower and comfortable outdoor seating. The breakfast is typical for the Comfort Inn chain, though the hot food selections changed each day. (I would have liked to see a low-sugar yogurt choice). Their initial placement of the desk meant I couldn't pull the desk chair out because it hit the end of the bed, but I solved that by simply dragging the desk 2 feet to the right.
There were two things I found disturbing. First, the shower/bath had an upraised aluminium rail running the full upper edge of the tub even though the left hand glass panel wasn't movable, thus giving an unnecessary hazard should one step on the rail. Second, they didn't fill in the holes in the floor before they laid down the nice, new vinyl flooring so there are numerous 'soft spots', some of which actually lift the edge of the flooring up when stepped on. I predict they'll have to tear some of it up and redo it correctly soon.
Parking is an additional $35 per night, which my New York relatives assure is is "quite reasonable", but be warned if you're driving there.
Overall, it is a clean, modern hotel convenient to Brooklyn's Park Slope and I recommend it despite its minor quirks.

I think this was a very unique comfort inn that had everything you need if you are a solo traveler or travelers that are interested in seeing most of the Brooklyn area. Have access to local bodegas, restaurants and even local creative shops. It's also just a 5min walk to the R train that can get you to Manhattan in 20min. Definitely a good place on a budget!
