The room was clean and tidy. The bed and the pillows were exceptionally comfortable The room was cleaned every day except Sunday and we got fresh towels each time. It’s small and a little dated but absolutely perfect for anyone just needing a bed and a base for your trip We were visiting our daughter who lives nearby so it was perfect. The neighbourhood felt very safe, well lit with plenty of convenience stores and restaurants nearby The breakfast room is very small and the plates and cutlery are all disposable which is not particularly appealing but there was plenty of food , bread, bagels, waffles, cheese, yogurt, fruit, tea, coffee, juices. To be honest for the price we paid I wouldn’t have expected breakfast to be included. Over all.. it’s a very basic hotel but we got very good value for what we paid.

Room Tip:Disposable cutlery and plates are not sustainable especially the plastic cups for the juice...

Very cheap hotel compared to the NYC average, with clean rooms (linen changed daily) and located near the subway with which you can get to Manhattan in a few minutes. Breakfast more than decent and also hearty with the possibility of eating savory (eggs and sausages) and sweet (waffles, fruit, yogurt, muffins, bread and various jams) The proximity to the road does not create problems, our small room was well soundproofed. The hotel is wonderful. The breakfast is very hearty and filling, and on Sundays, they even offer fruits. You can also make a delicious, substantial waffle yourself. The bed is huge and comfortable, and the shower is spacious—it's not just a shower cabin but a full shower. One thing I would suggest is adding a way to heat water in the room, along with items like cups, to make it possible to have tea in the room. This would be nice, especially since the kitchen closes after breakfast and there's nothing available afterward.

Stayed for 3 days/2 nights for a friend's wedding nearby. Not much on 3rd Ave where the hotel is located, but do the 5 minute walk to 4th Ave and you get Starbucks, go another ave up to 5th Ave and you start to hit the bars, restaurants and organic markets of Park Slope. It's also close to 2 subway stations. In the hotel itself, I never once saw any worrisome hygiene issues or felt like I was being exposed to anything. The room was clean albeit a little old-looking, the bed was really comfortable, the desk was a nice size for me to stretch out my laptop and accessories for a little remote work while on this short holiday and plenty of natural light. The hallways do get loud at night from the other guests. Not much that can be done about that I guess. The amenities are pretty limited - just shampoo, no body wash, toothpaste or lotion. They provided eating utensils when asked for, but no feminine hygiene products if you end up in a pinch like I did:) Overall, the kindness of all the workers I dealt with and the close enough location to the more bustling part of town would make me stay there again.

none of the lights or the phone worked in my room. the sheets and pillow cases were stained. the shower curtain had mold on it and the shower and sink in the bathroom were overall just dirty. the room overall was not the cleanest. then it said NOTHING about paying for parking when i booked the room so when i get there and find out i had to pay $45 a night for parking was ridiculous and there was absolutely no where to park on the street that was close to the hotel.

The hotel is well located for access to the subway and to experience local Brooklynites. A supermarket (for breakfast items), great mexican food truck, bars & restaurants are within walking distance. Other than the dodgy shower in our room, the room was clean, comfortable and quiet (back of hotel). Other than making your own waffles, breakfast was disappointing and non-existant for any latecomers. We went to the supermarket to purchase breakfast items and we were never late for breakfast. By the third day we gave up on breakfast all together. If the shower was decent, then the recommendation would've been higher.

I stayed in room 306 from November 25-December 6. The room was at the back with just a massive wall by the parking lot for view. First thing that annoyed me when I checked in was how dusty the room was. I sat on the bed and all the dust instantly stuck to my pants (I have photos). There was visible dust every where, on the bed head board, every where. I went back down complained to the receptionist and was basically told that I had to sleep in all that dust until housekeeping staff comes in after 9 am the next morning. Throughout my stay there I could say that the way the room was "cleaned" was poor. The housekeeping staff was actually better at grabbing the tips I left than actually cleaning the room. All they did was emptied the trash, made the bed and replaced used towels and that was it. No dusting, sweeping nor mopping and by the I checked out there were mounds of dust again every where. I even killed a German roach one night and it stayed on the floor for days after they cleaned till I eventually had to dispose of it myself. I also complained about the coffee maker in the room which had a cord so short it could not reach up to any of the outlets not even the outlet above the bathroom counter. The receptionist promised to report it, but noone ever came to address it. Am guessing it's only there for decoration, not for use. I really love the location of this hotel, hence the 2 stars, but staying there again I don't think I would.

This hotel is located about 1.6 miles from Brooklyn Botanical Gardens. We came to Brooklyn to see their holiday light show and decided to stay a night. The area of the hotel is safe but certainly not scenic. There is a DD, Popeyes and BP gas station right across the street. The two double bed room is very small, and the bathroom is about a foot away from the bed. The rooms seem like they’ve been fairly recently renovated. There is a coffeemaker, microwave and small refrigerator in the room. The breakfast is open but no seating available due to COVID. Parking behind the hotel is limited, $36/day and there are no in-out privileges. (Parking is hard to find on the street). Take the stairs as suggested by others-elevator is slow. The halls can be noisy.

The hotel is an excellent choice, especially for foreigners whose main goal is to spend the day exploring the city and only return at night to rest. It stands out for its efficient check-in and check-out service, making the guest experience smooth and hassle-free. However, the breakfast, although included, lacks variety and is the same every day. A more diverse breakfast would be very helpful to start daily activities with energy. Overall, it’s a practical and comfortable place to stay if you want to make the most of your time in the city.
