3 pros- nice bed, nice shower, close to subway. That’s all. The hotel is worn out and two really unforgivable things- breakfast was basically leftovers from the dollar store. Nothing healthy. Not even good snacks. Nothing local. And pepsi products (no coke). And the gym- missing dumbbells. And that’s all they had, incomplete set of dumbbells. What kind of hotel is too cheap the have 2 of each weight of dumbbells?? And every aloft is at least supposed to have a cable machine. Not this one. Elevators all need a remodel. Very basic. Downtown Brooklyn has lots of low rent shopping (h and m, target) but nothing at night. Rooms were loud! Paper walls No views. Sub par aloft for the price.

Hotel cancelled my reservation without even advising me... Terrible business practice.. Travelers, make sure you check your reservation before going to this hotel... I would highly suggest that if you have a reservation you call and make sure your room is still reserved..

The hotel was fine even though the room wasn't the cleanest. The main problem was that one of the two beds in the room had a dirty comforter since the very first day out of four that we stayed there. Even if we told the reception about this after the very first night and being told that they would change it by the next day, this didn't happen. So we told them again and the reception renewed their excuses but said they also couldn't change it at that time of the day (during the evening) so instead the said they would charge us an indicative sum of money in order to excuse themsleves. In the end, they gave us a clean comforter (that we had to change for ourselves!) only the third night after having asked them a third time. Moreover, after 20 days more or less, no sum of money has been charged us on our card even though they said they would. So not the best experience... On the other hand, the position of the hotel was great.

Not the worst of the best hotel room. Smelled a little like mold. There was a stain in the ceiling of the bathroom. Location is ok. Some places to eat close by. Even a Trader Joe’s. I would spend the extra $$ and stay at the Marriott down the street next time.

I flew into JFK late at night and went straight to Aloft without having any reservations. I arrived and spoke with Kleiner at the front desk. She held on to our luggage while we found some food and booked a room online cause it was a better deal that way. Once I booked the room she saw I could probably use a little more room having my two boys with me and gave me an upgraded suite which was a-lot more helpful then I would of thought. I appreciated her helping us out through the booking process and with the room upgrade!!!

Our room (403) smelled of cannabis. I think it was coming from staff using some mechanical rooms next to our bedroom. We did complain a few times but got no response or change. The TV remote didn’t work we asked for it changing which they did but still didn’t work. The walls are also very thin the noisy couple fighting next door to us is not the hotel fault but I could hear every sigh made by the couple. Otherwise good size room and clean. The tea and coffee offerings were poor and looked dusty and a papercup we were left when we 1st checked in was used. Good location for getting tubes and nice little area.

Room is nice and clean. Housekeeping staff friendly. However, if you want to watch TV or call the front desk from your room, forgetaboutit! Wi-Fi is spotty at best. Television was out the three days were were there (another visitor said it was already out at least three days before that! ) Tried to call the front desk from the room phone and it was out as well. WiFi is a crap shoot. Maybe it’s available. Maybe it’s not. Sad…and there were quite a few flies darting around in the lobby. Strange.

The bed is big and the room is clean. After that it's actually a disaster. The walls are paper thin. The TVs and telephones do not work. The food area is so depressing. There's construction happening between 2-8am on the rooftop (or nearby). The city should do this place a kindness and shut it down.

Hotel was fine, could use some refreshing but overall good and comfortable for a 5 night stay. Hotel room is on the large side for NYC - would be small elsewhere but iykyk. Very convenient to transit and lots nearby to walk too. Some fairly constant door slamming could be heard but the white noise provided by the ancient air conditioner helped to drown that out. Very friendly staff. Coffee in the lobby in the morning and popcorn some evenings were nice treats.

They were so rude and unfriendly under the check in, and even somebody else paid for my room they have now taken 12 00 dollars from my credit card. A card I now have to blocked because of this terrible hotel. I have no information of why they have taken money from me - since the room was prepaid. But I consider this a fraud and will warn everyone else. Stay away from this hotel and the rude people working there. They will take all of your money if you give them your card.
