Detailed Reviews
This is now the hotel I will stay at when I am in Brooklyn! I had a room with two queen beds for the family, and the room had more space than I expected. Whenever I stay in NYC, the rooms tend to be small and cramped without much extra room around the beds, but I was pleasantly surprised here! Plenty of room for all our bags and luggage! And there was a tall shelf underneath the mini-fridge where I could put our cooler and other shopping bags with food and snacks.
I called earlier in the day to let them know that I would be getting in very late, around 2 am. I was driving and worried about the parking situation, especially so late. They made a note of my arrival time and assured me that I would still be able to park my minivan. You can valet if you'd like, or "self-park" at a discounted rate at the Cielo garage on the same block. After unloading our luggage into the room, my daughter and I drove the van to the garage just at the end of the block. The gate was closed, so I got out and rang the doorbell on the wall, and the person down the ramp in the garage pushed the button to let us drive in. You have to let them know what day and time you will be back for the car, then you leave your keys in the car, take your ticket, and they park it for you. Make sure to have the front desk put the hotel validation sticker on the back of the ticket before you go back for the car, if you want the discounted rate, which is currently $30/night. I didn't realize I needed that, so I had to walk back to the hotel desk to get that, but it's a very short walk since it's on the same block.
The location here is excellent (close to restaurants, shops, subway stations), the rooms are clean (housekeeping comes each day), and the staff are all very friendly and helpful! I felt safe walking around, and I'm very happy I stayed here and would definitely recommend it to others!

My recent stay at this Hilton in Brooklyn was marred by concerning issues that I feel obligated to address. The incident that particularly troubled me was witnessing the unjust eviction of a guest due to deceitful misrepresentation by the hotel staff. This unethical behavior not only reflects poorly on the establishment's integrity but also raises serious doubts about its commitment to fair treatment of guests.
Beyond the distressing incident, several other aspects of my stay added to the disappointment. The safety standards were far from satisfactory, and the unreliable business WiFi posed a significant inconvenience. Moreover, the state of cleanliness was subpar - from dirty sheets to towels that were far from fresh, indicating a lack of attention to basic housekeeping standards.
The combination of unethical practices, inadequate amenities, and compromised hygiene detracted significantly from any semblance of comfort or relaxation during my stay. Such disregard for guest safety and basic necessities is deeply concerning and does not align with the standards expected from a reputable establishment.
I implore the management of this hotel to not only address the ethical concerns but also urgently improve their facilities and cleanliness standards. Guests deserve a safe and comfortable environment, and it's imperative for the hotel to prioritize these fundamental aspects.

I have stayed in Hilton properties all over the world, in big cities and small towns. This experience is truly unique in that the location and staff are very nice, but the property is poorly maintained and the housekeeping is substandard.
When I entered my room beginning my 4-night stay, I went to the bathroom to find (a) lipstick on my towels, (b) a used soap bar with no fresh one, (c) a loose toilet seat that would have been dangerous to use, and (d) no plastic or paper cups to get a drink of water. None of this meets Hilton standards. I notified the front desk that I had personally tightened the toilet seat (I travel with a small tool kit), but I expected better housekeeping in the coming days.
Meanwhile, the climate control automatically turns itself to HEAT from the COOL mode at 3am which is most unpleasant in summertime in Brooklyn. As I write this, my room is unpleasantly warm because the A/C doesn’t cool anything. I notified the front desk in person, twice, about this, and was assured it was “checked out”. Clearly it was not repaired. And as far as maintenance goes only 1 elevator of 2 is operating in this building.
Now for the pluses: the breakfast buffet is very well prepared; however, the executive lounge (which is also the breakfast room) does not have afternoon appetizers or alcoholic beverages, a major disappointment.
For over $400 per night, I expect better housekeeping, maintenance and a proper “Hilton” experience. I will not stay here again.

This is the absolute worst hotel and staff I have ever had the displeasure of visiting. If giving a 0 star rating was feasible, I certainly would. This hotel was a total scam with employees who will con you in every way poss. They will trick you and charge you for something that you didn’t even use or they will make a lie that you did something that you didn’t.
Small rooms , they don’t clean the rooms properly and they don’t replace dirty towels with clean towels.
The bathroom was no better, as bottles for shampoo, conditioner, body wash and body lotion were empty.
Blinds on windows weren’t even working.
The TV in room wasn’t even operational. This hotel will have you constantly calling receptionist because nothing is working properly.
It’s not safe to be in this hotel and it’s definitely not worth the money.
Be aware and careful don’t walk by yourself in this hotel and always have witnesses as they make stories if you are alone .
Half of the staff don’t speak English and they will group up to fabricate lies and put you in trouble - especially if you are very young.
This hotel and their staff destroyed our family vacation and our Christmas Day!

I am a lifetime Hilton Diamond member, and have stayed at a ton of Hiltons all over the world. We stayed at the Hilton Brooklyn for four nights, paying an average of $539 per night (with taxes) for a King Deluxe room. Nothing special about the room. The pros are that the breakfast restaurant staff are great and hard working. The bed and linens were comfortable, with nice pillows. Housekeeping staff are awesome.
The first night we arrived we had come from a long overseas flight and were tired. We wanted room service, but because a bartender had called out, all room service was cancelled according to the front desk. I did not feel that this decision was a good one for the price we paid, etc. Also, I had a ton of laundry done (over $150 of laundry) and the front desk said they would not bring the laundry to my room. When I asked why, they said that their coworker was "on break" and they couldn't leave. I said, that's okay, you can bring it when they're off break, and they agreed to do so. This was at 7 pm at night. They never brought up the laundry, and I had to get it myself the next morning.
For the price we paid I expect significantly better service from the front desk. Either management needs to hire more people, or better train staff, because the front desk really doesn't care about its clients.

The hotel itself was adequate. The room was comfortable, everything seemed to work, and check-in/check-out went fairly smoothly, but the whole trip was not without problems.
Our problem occurred when we used the $40 a day food credit we had with our room. We used it in the morning for breakfast, even though breakfast was actually $53. We thought the $40 credit would be deducted from the $53 bill, but it was not. Our $40 credit was completely ignored, and we were billed the entire $53. Yeah, I thought that was kind of high for small portions of oatmeal, and fruit, but we did it because we didn't want to waste our credit, and, if we had been billed correctly, the $13 would have been a lot closer to what I would have expected to pay for that meal.
Everything else about the hotel was just fine, but just be aware that you may not get all the credits you are promised when you stay here. Make sure you ask, and confirm your credit will be used before you agree to anything. When it comes to dining, there are many dining options nearby that are just as good, but cost less, like the I-Hop two blocks away on Bond Street.

The service here was terrible, room was uncomfortable (bedding, pillows, AC/Heating), and the dinning was inedible. We were not given enough towels and each time we asked for more it took 2 hours if at all that day for them to be delivered. We needed more blankets and pillows and none were provided. The food was multiple days old including the jam that was left constantly without a lid in the morning. And while pouring milk for my cereal in the morning clumps came out and after I tasted it, it tasted expired. I will never come back here nor will I ever recommend it to anyone since it was by far the worst part of my vacation to NY with my family.

They have instituted an extra $30/night charge for all rooms, beyond the rates you see when you book, and you then get a corresponding $30 "credit" for dining at the hotel. If you're in NYC, you probably don't want to be forced to dine at a Hilton, there are lots of other options. Just seems like a way to squeeze more money from its guests.
With additional fees, you might think you get better service. Alas, not the case. On the other side, they are scrimping on services by not having your room cleaned, presumably unless you request it.
(And their wi-fi was really bad and kept dropping)
There are better options in the area, I would skip this hotel.
