The beds are clean and the bathrooms are very nice. Billie is a wonderful person to meet! They know fairbanks very well and have resources and pamphlets for various activities in alaska, the hostell is cozy rustic and very nice two bathrooms with showers and laundry service. I've seen the northern lights many times even just from the porch and across the street is a very good viewpoint for the lights indeed! I've met many nationalities and various people here and the conversation is unbeatable so interesting to visit and stay in a safe comfortable clean place before a great adventure in fairbanks alaska, if you are reading this definitely give billies a visit summer or winter The hostell is wonderful! This is my second summer visit to billies and I would love to visit again!

Book a night or two at Billie’s and you’ll find yourself stepping back in time (or perhaps sideways?) to a house full of antiques that are actually used, and interesting international guests you actually want to talk to. You might hear the piano being played in the front room, and you’ll definitely smell coffee freshly brewed for guests, friends, and family. If you didn’t grow up in a house like this, you’ll wish you had. It cherishes its old memories and encourages you to create new ones. Billie is welcoming and kind. The hostel is clean, warm, and peaceful. I can’t wait to go back.

Billie and her son are very friendly and accommodating. It was like walking into a favorite aunts home. They made our first hostel experience one that makes us want to go back for more. We live in a rural area and the quiet neighborhood made for the best nights sleep so far.

I had a short stay of just one night but it was the best. I checked in late as I got to the hostel after 10 pm but there were clear instructions on the door for me to find my way to my bed. The bed and bathroom were clean. And I had a good night's sleep before I continued my journey the next day. I will definitely recommend this hostel.

Awesome place. Sweetest lady in the world running a nice quiet hostel. There's people there if you want to talk and hang out, but quiet enough to go to sleep when you need. Pretty conveniently located too.

Host was accommodating of late arrival and room (the 6 bed room in the gazebo) fit description. Overall a good experience so I would recommend staying here. However can be noisy in the morning with plane & train noises.
