We asked for a room with a bathroom having grab bars and stayed in #406. Great room. Will request it for the next stay! Room was very comfortable as was the bed! The check in and check out was quick and easy. Staff was so friendly and accommodating also.

This was our second time staying at the Planter's Inn. Great location, friendly staff, and clean rooms. Not too many thrills, but perfect for a short stay. Great prices too! Would definitely recommend!

The Planters Inn was perfect for what we were looking for. We needed a place in the historic district of town that was close to all the restaurants and watering holes. We also were looking for s place where we could leave the car for the night at a reasonable price. The Planters Inn was perfect for everything. Valet parking was $29,95. We were minutes away from excellent meals and cold beers. The rooms were clean and quiet. Comfortable albeit small beds. All in all I highly recommend Planters Inn.

Our one night in Savannah was enjoyable staying in this classic inn located across from Reynolds Square and steps from the Olde Pink House where we had dinner. A warm welcome by staff who went out of their way to check on the heat that was not on in our room upon arrival. It took awhile to warm up but the room had a nice view and was comfortable for the evening.

The Planters Inn is a lovely historic hotel with a beautiful lobby where a pianist plays each afternoon. The staff is friendly and helpful. When I returned from nearby with tea, the bellman opened the door for me and pressed the elevator buttons to my floor. Thanking him, he replied "That's what I'm here for." Being an old hotel, it has its quirks, but we found that part of its charm.

Room Tip: A park-view room is worth the extra money to look out on Reynold's Square.

Great location. Rooms are old, tired and shabby. Flooding toilet, no refrigerator, needs a good scrub, a fresh coat of paint, threadbare towels and scratched furniture replaced. Did I mention you are handed small bags of ice at the desk ? Uninterested and unconcerned staff. Overall, a very depressing place.

The hotel is in the perfect location and walkable to all the tourists sites. The front desk staff was kind and welcoming. The hotel needs some updates. I had several bites on my legs after checking out. Manager brushed off my concerns and said I must have been bit by sand gnats outside.

We found the room clean with nice hospitality. They are close to lots of activities. They need to have a TV channel listing - dish TV is not doing them any good. The bed was comfortable, though high and somewhat difficult to get into. They do not have daily room service but that is standard now.

Older hotel in the historic district. Short walk to basically everywhere. Parking garage right across the street Really nice folks at the desk that take good care of ya. Not your usual chain business hotel. Hate to use words like “quaint” and “charming”, but that pretty much describes Planters. Yeah…it’s a little worn around the edges, but I wouldn’t change a thing. Our room was fairly large, nice bed, plenty of antique furniture. The location on Reynolds Square was really pretty and quiet. Can’t beat this place for the price.

The only reason we scored as high as 2 was the great location, everything else was substandard. The hotel might have been glorious at one time but everything is now old and faded. We were there with two other couples and all of the rooms had a musty smell. Our four poster bed had one post that wobbled badly and one corner of it was all cracked and caked. The main floor lamp’s light socket was totally loose, falling over, and surely a fire hazard. The room curtains were old and torn and separated from the handle to open and close them The bath towels were the smallest, thinnest, and roughest we have ever experienced. The toilet was incredibly loud when flushed and shot water back at any user. We would never return , nor recommend it to anyone.
