Thank you!!!
This Embassy Suites is located about a half mile from downtown on Oglethorpe Avenue. It is just west of a Hampton Inn that shares the same garage. Self-parking is $28 a day which is actually cheaper than the other hotels near the center. The walk into the central historic district is doable. This Embassy is extremely inviting to walk into. A large foyer greets you with friendly staff. If you are an Hilton Honors member, free bottles of water are given to you. We had a room on the second level. There are three elevators to choose from. Maybe not the quickest elevators, but it did get you where you wanted to go. Our room was a typical Embassy room with a large sitting area with a couch, a very large bathroom and a comfortable bed. There is also a microwave and a small convenient refrigerator. There were also two TVs in both rooms. Although, the controls were not the best to navigate. We can’t say there are any “best” views from this hotel. Our view was of a roof. There is a pool on premise and a fitness facility. We did not use either. One of the big advantages of staying at the Embassy Suites is the cooked eggs to order. The chef did a good job in making my eggs perfect, sunny-side-up. The only complaint is the selection of breads. The bagels are your typical Costco type. On our first day, the main toaster was broken. A small toaster was available with only two slots. The second breakfast the main toaster was back in operation. Unlike other Embassy Suites we visited on this trip, one selected a “number” for the table. A paper was filled out with your number on top. Your eggs were brought to you. We thought this was a great idea. We always enjoyed the free drinks given out for two hours near dinner. Although, we did find out that Tito’s was an extra $4 dollars. We later purchased our own Tito’s bottle and circumvented from going to their free drink promotion. During regular business hours there is a dedicated concierge. She was able to give us some good advice about the river boat. Being a Hilton, they do have discounted prices for most of the attractions. This is the person to see. Even with the walk, we enjoyed our stay at this Embassy Suites. In the summer, there is no walking in Savannah without sweating and being a bit hot and feeling the humidity. Nevertheless, Savannah is one of our favorite cities to visit and we appreciate this Embassy Suites.…
Everyone we came in contact with was so friendly, but Blue and Brandon definitely stand out the most. While having breakfast, they were so attentive and Blue even sang my mom happy birthday when I said we were celebrating her birthday here. He told us some places we can check while we were here on our stay.
Very nice hotel within walking distance to downtown area. Room was clean and comfy but needs to be updated. Sofa bed was a lot to be desired and really needs to be replaced. The rest of the suite was more than adequate. Room service was by request and when we needed it they came in a timely manner. Breakfast was included and was good. Nothing elaborate. Missed not being able to have waffles. There was a pool and gym room available at no extra charge. Ambience of the hotel was very nice. Staff was very cordial and helpful. Would recommend Embassy Suites for anyone looking for a nice comfortable, clean and convenient place to stay.
This hotel was an one of the better Embassy Suites I have ever stayed in, The building itself has the feel of an older hotel that was purchased and refurbished by Hilton into what we see and enjoy today. The room I was in was clean, roomy, functional, the AC worked VERY well. That came in handy during my stay in July 2022. The Savannah Visitors center was about 4 blocks away. There you can catch any number of hop on-hop off tours. It is a walk o River St, but doable. You are far enough away from the hub-bub of River St where you don't feel crowded. Breakfast was great. Made to order eggs and omelets, bacon, grits pancakes and more. I would definitely stay here again. I plan to return to Savannah in the future. Tip: If you fly into Savannah, take a taxi or Uber from airport. A rental car is a waste of money if you are staying in the Historic District, and won't have to pay the $35 for parking.…
The is a beautiful hotel and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed happy hour and our server Lisha was so personable and helpful. Always checking if we need anything from the restaurant.
This hotel is over run with kids. The garage elevator, which they will charge you $35/nightly for, is broken. It is in a word, filthy. The carpets are ripped the upholstery has holes and the sofa in my room looked like they picked it up for free curbside. The alarm went off 3 times, I was awakened at midnight and forced to go outside because they couldn't/wouldn't shut it off. I watched as an employee carried the silverware we had to eat with out of the kitchen, no gloves, perched on her shoulders, you know right next to her face and hair. Dirty handprints on the doors and moldings, dirty sheers in my bedroom, There was obvious dirt built up in the corners of the elevators. I don't care why it's dirty, I just know it's dirty and won't return. Run away Forrest.
We loved staying at Embassy suites in Savannah. Tania, our concierge, made our stay extra special and we will definitely be back. Our daughter is an incoming freshman at SCAD and the hotel was convenient to all things we needed to attend for her orientation weekend. Highly recommend this hotel and we will definitely be back. Thank you Tania and all the staff at Embassy suites.
First trip to Savannah. The hotel was close enough to walk to hubs or local shops. Nightly reception was great. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Digital key worked and made it easy for a family of 5 to access rooms without losing keys.
The stay was wonder and the food was very good. Met Blur and Brianna and they were some of the nicest staff. I would definitely stay here again. The hotel is very clean and it’s beautiful inside. Blue is so nice and welcoming. Brianna is also very nice and welcoming.
