Highly recommend this hotel! This is a very old building that has been refurbished. 20 foot ceilings and original wood flooring. Great history. Right across the street from river walk and a few blocks from the market district. Very walkable.
We stayed in the king patio suite and brought our two little dogs. Staff is very friendly and welcoming, the dogs even got a welcome goodie bag. Great location near the Riverwalk area and a 15 minute walk to the market place. A really cool historic building with lots of history. There is even a breakfast/lunch restaurant on the property in the basement.
My daughter and myself had an excellent girls trip to Savannah. We loved our room with y’all ceilings and wooden floors. We were within walking distance of many beautiful attractions and a short drive to Tybee. Wish we’d stayed longer. Will stay here again and recommend to everyone!
Our room was beautiful, with high ceiling, exposed brick outer wall, and lovely, unique furnishings, not at all like the generic furniture you see in most hotels. The walls were decorated with scenes of Savannah. They provide beverages and snacks (flavored popcorn) for free. Breakfast is not included, but they provide a good and reasonably priced breakfast in the restaurant in the basement level. The location is great, only a block away from the buildings that overlook the riverfront. There are many excellent restaurants just a short walk from the inn.
This was our second stay at East Bay Inn. We love the service, the rooms, the location, and the nearby lounge. We are always treated so well, and we so appreciate water and snacks provided in our room.
This hotel provides an experience of what fine travel was like over 100 years ago. Built in 1852, the decor remains the same while the amenities are updated to current times. Very relaxing setting with friendly staff providing great service.
Our stay at the East Bay Inn was a pleasure from the first phone call to the Morning we left, absolutely outstanding! My Wife got interested in Savannah when she saw Jennifer Lopez and Benn Affleck's wedding. I decided for our 4th Anniversary we would go to Savannah. When I made the reservation I called the hotel directly to pay in advance, my conversation with Jennifer was so pleasant I knew we were going to the right place. All of the employees were really nice, smiling and helpful, the front desk, housekeeping and Bellman, all geat. Room - Wonderful, fashionable appointed with a huge antique bed, nicely appointed with sofa and armour, super high ceilings and huge windows overlooking the street, really nice view. The bathroom was spotless and well designed with a marble walk in shower, great towels and amenities. Every where was super clean. Public Areas - Lobby etc, nicely appointed and leads to the really nice Small Hotel Bar and adjoining breakfast all day restaurant. The Hotel gave us free drink coupons, which we enjoyed; the Bartender was exceptional and the bar's clintel made the experience fun. The bar actually has a great advantage over most hotel bars being visible at a great location. Also, in the area next to the elevator there is free coffee, its pretty good, now from me that's a big compliment because I'm picky as hell about my coffee. Location - Right in the middle of the Historic Area, across the road from River Street, a truly great location, the free parking was such a great bonus. Pet Friendly - Our trouble making dog was welcomed like royalty, Willie seemed right at home. The Hotel's location makes morning walks with the dog such a joy. Wille and I explored some of the fantastic Park-Squares, Chippewa, Wright, and Reynolds. I suggest Chippewa Square for a visit to where the Forrest Gump Bus Stop Bench scenes were shot. The East Bay Inn as a really old warehouse converted over to a boutique hotel. I love these types of places. The Olde Harbour Inn is across the street, its the same type of place, I have stayed at both, I prefer the parking situation, furnishings and service a little more at the East Bay Inn. I started buying Christmas Ornaments related to important events and times in my life, so off course I had to buy the nice souvenir tree ornament from the Lobby Desk. The East Bay Inn rocks! Thanks Jennifer for a great stay! Appreciate you guys!…
Loved the East Bay Inn. The staff was friendly, the rooms were beautiful. The location was great. Everything was within walking distance that we wanted to do. Would definitely come back. Not that this was planned, but the weather was beautiful while we were there.
Pleasure. Stop over on road trip. Staff was beyond helpful from checking in to suggesting dinner spots. Hotel is decorated with Savannah charm unlike chain hotels with the same looking beds and night strands. Drapery was heavy Victorian cloth with the tall windows.
What a wonderful stay we had at the East Bay Inn, from check in to departure. The Inn is centrally located in the Historic district making almost everything within walking distance. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon and were pleasantly surprised by a welcome reception that included a vast variety of wines and beer (Unfortunately, due to Covid regulations still in place, they cannot offer the cheese and crackers they usually have), but beer and wine sufficed! LOL We also received two drink cards per night to be used at the Tandem , a great little bar located in the hotel. Complimentary waters and soda were made available in the lobby each day, all day The Inn and the rooms have an old school feel like being in an upscale B&B with a southern charm. The staff, William, Mallory, Jennifer, and Lauri, as well as others, were extremely friendly and accommodating. They gave us spot on advice on tours, where to visit, eat, etc. After each day we would sit and relax in the hotel lobby and have awesome conversations with the staff. It was like being at home with family and friends. They would always ask how our day went and if we needed any additional recommendations. Staying at the Inn set the mood for our daily adventures in Savannah. We will 100% be coming back to Savannah, and we will be 100% be staying the East Bay Inn! …
