When we checked in the front desk attendant was friendly and very helpful and then it went downhill from there. The attendant called me about two hours after we checked in to say that she had double booked my room and that I needed to come back to ensure nothing was taken. I rushed back to the hotel and to my delight nothing was missing. Breakfast on Saturday and Sunday was very lackluster and not desirable. I understand it’s still COVID season but burnt biscuits and sausage along with semi warm eggs is not what I expected. Room didn’t feel clean found trash under dresser. Overall it was a place to stay but I seriously doubt I will return.
We had our room reserved way ahead of time through the Radisson program. This hotel called our home phone (700 miles away) to see if we were going to check in because "they wanted to cancel our reservation at 9 PM so that they could book full for the night". We were visiting nearby Tybee Island for a sunset cruise so we did not arrive before 9 PM. They called our home phone again after 9 PM and told us they had cancelled our room. Fortunately for us, no one else showed up and took the room before we arrived so we were able to get into the room without them telling us what they'd done. I only found out after we arrived home and got their messages. I am very upset that they would cancel our reservation right out from underneath us just because we weren't there by a certain time. We are avid travelers and have never had this happen before. When I called the hotel just to explain my dismay I asked for the manager and the person who answered pretended to be her. She was was very rude and then she finally put the manager on who proceeded to say that because we didn't answer our home phone they were within their rights to cancel our reservation. Maybe I'm mistaken but if I reserve a room, I'm going to get billed for it even if I don't show up. I don't understand why anyone would cancel a standing reservation just so they could book full for the night?! It's not cool that they're so desperate for money that they would risk putting a family of four out of a room at 10 PM just so they could make a dollar from someone else. I will not be staying at this hotel again.…
Check in was fine. Room was a suite booked on a weekend. The room just wasn't clean, unforgiveable in a COVID world. Fingerprints on TV, dirty remote. Sticky door handles, dust in vents. Bathroom was appalling - mold, dirt, rust. A clean carried out by myself with a face cloth showed how dirty it was. The young girl on the desk the first evening was frankly embarrassed but explained she wasn't allowed to move anyone and said the cleaners would prioritise the next day. A vacuum and bed tidy wasn't good enough. Complained again but the lady on the desk was simply rude. Complained again the final day but got just a shrug! Oh and the breakfast was frankly awful, no food left, no coffee. The manager claims she is unaware of my issues so I suggest she goes and looks at the rooms!!
Right at checkin Ms Whitfield made us feel welcome and valued. A very positive impression of this property and its management. The rooms and breakfast area sparkled. Close enough to Savannah to enjoy the sights at a manageable cost. Would stay there again in a minute!
We stayed here for one night and loved it. The room was big and very clean. It had a living room space separate from the bedroom. My husband found the beds hard but I actually liked them. Room was very quiet. Every staff member we met were nice and friendly. I definitely recommend this hotel!
Stayed here for two nights this past week. We were not impressed with this hotel when we first pulled in to the parking lot. The room however was very large with a door between the bedroom and living room area. The beds were very comfortable. We understand that the pull out couch was as well. Staff was great. Breakfast was great: waffle maker, lots of choices, well stocked. The area was not closed after breakfast so we could access juices, coffee etc all day long. The only negative was that the lighting was a bit dingy as were the wall colors. Great stay!
Well there's the hotel itself and then there's the service. Technical issues caused a check in delay. I suspect it was corporate, so it's not something to blame the location for; however, the lack of communication and information during the check in process is a different story. We were told everything was "down." So there was that, but from that point on, the communication was ... absent. At some point, I got a call to come down and sign something with zero explanation. Despite three requests to link the stay to my points account, it never happened. No bill provided at check out. The hotel itself was fine, if by fine, you want a bed to sleep in and some lamps etc. We found the bathroom to be less than standard clean. Lipstick on a pig is a good way of putting it. Rust and water stains, some of which had been poorly painted over. A lack of generaly cleanliness around the sink and in the shower was unfortunate. We found the sitting room furniture to be a step below dormitory common room furniture in terms of comfort and appeal. Some outlets were not functioning. Missing lightbulb. Bed was fine. Noise level was not optimal. On check out, the issues were reported. The response: blank stare followed by "I can't print your receipt. It will be emailed to you." It wasn't. Some staff training and a thorough cleaning and sprucing would make this an adequate property. But you can't do 6 brush strokes in the bathroom and call it a day.…
The hotel was comfy and clean. Staff were nice and breakfast was delicious. Kids enjoyed the pool and I enjoyed the the heated jacuzzi. Our stay was short and sweet. We will definitely stay here again when we visit Savannah and so will the rest of our track team.
The location was very good, not far from the historic district and about 30 minutes from Tybee Island going the other way. Free parking was nice! The bed was very comfortable and the room was nice besides our shower needing an upgrade. Having a mini fridge and microwave was great. We had to ask for our room to be turned down. The room looked to be thoroughly made up after we asked but in the following days all we got was new towels. We were basically out of toilet paper by the time we checked out. When I got down to make sure no laundry got left under furniture I noticed a yogurt lid wrapper on the floor which was not from us. Breakfast was also grab and go which made it difficult if there was many people down in the breakfast area. I was disappointed because before we arrived we never were told it would be grab and go. Instead of saving money eating breakfast at the hotel we often went out to eat instead due to the limited options. Having a hot breakfast was supposed to be a perk. Front desk staff was not very friendly. Younger, gentleman was staying in the adjacent office to the front desk so it appeared as if no one was there. Did not offer directions of how to even get to our room just handed the card to me and that was it. I did not feel like this lived up to the usual great Country Inn and Suites standards, it was just ok. Also, there was no cookies, like they usually have.…
Hotel is clean and comfortable, and in good condition. Beds were clean and comfortable. Friendly staff, efficient heck-in. Building has an elevator and indoor pool. Excellent fast internet connection. Everything in the room worked. There was an air handler in the room that could not be shut off, even though the weather did not require either heating or cooling. You heard it running constantly. Good breakfast. All in all, I'd stay there again.
