A must visit when you are in Savannah! Perfect scenery on the river.District Seafood is great! Lizzie is the best ever! She goes out of her way and makes sure you have everything you need… totally awesome!! Good food, good service… awesome music! Very enjoyable experience!
Magical, Incredible, Mind Blowing, Extraordinary Hotel Experience! Perfection at its finest… if that doesn’t say it all, let me tell you about the amazing “over the top” service, food, ambience, art, and decor. From the moment you enter this spectacular hotel - you are transformed into another world of beauty and art. Renee and Paulina at the front desk were the most gracious and accommodating staff members I’ve ever encountered in my travels. They went over and above in hospitality and graciousness. They didn’t miss a beat! Actually, everyone from valet to the bellman and housekeeping they all were top notch! And it didn’t stop there … Kudos go to George Hartman the hotel manager, who is the driving force behind this unbelievable hotel. What a charming, lovely man who cares about every detail to its perfection. It was a privilege to have met him. As you can see, I honestly can’t wait to return! A big “Thank you to everyone” for making my birthday stay so spectacular. See you soon……
This is one of the worst stays I have ever had. The hotel itself is beautiful and in a great location. However if you are planning to go to bed before 3AM do not stay here. Especially if they put you in the 3 Muses building. It felt like we were sleeping in the middle of a night club with our entire room bumping and shaking (we had a river view room). The noise complaints are accurate for anyone who has gone to bed before 3AM on a weekend staying in the 3rd building. The hotel pretended it was a car passing by and acted shocked about the noise , it’s a lie. They know exactly where it’s coming from. The bar right across the street. Seriously avoid this hotel. As elite Marriott member we are extremely disappointed. Not only did they not offer any compensation to us but they were rude. Someone should have paid us to stay there. We mentioned it to the valet in the morning and they knew exactly what we were talking about. They have had a ton of complaints.…
My wife and I visited Savannah back in May and while we were taking a walk along the riverfront we had the opportunity to walk through the lobby of the JW Marriott Plant Riverside District hotel. We were blown away with the displays and the courtesy of the staff and we weren't even staying at the hotel. Immediately, we both said that we had to come back and get the whole experience and we did. Everything from booking our room to email communication was great. When we arrived on 07/31, we were greeted by the most enthusiastic Valet squad who were prepared to assist us in any way possible to make our arrival go as smooth as possible. They were very attentive to us as they were to all of the visitors that were also arriving at the same time. The Doormen also greeted us as we entered the lobby of the most amazing lobby that I'd seen anywhere. The front desk attendants were on their A game every time that we encountered them for assistance. We were offered water and / or champagne upon our arrival. The front desk person did an outstanding job explaining the amenities of the hotel and the $33.00 dining cards were a surprise to us and also the $10.00 gift shop card. The room attendants were top notch. Our room was well kept and the room itself was awesome. There was nothing that we lacked staying here at the JW Marriott Plant Riverside District. The connecting restaurants had all varieties of food choices to choose from and the walk along the riverfront topped it off. I know that if I tried to remember everyone's name that I came in contact with that I'd miss someone, so here's to the entire TEAM at JW Marriott Plant Riverside District Thank You for a job well done and allowing me and my wife to enjoy this amazing experience. We look forward to our next visit.…
this hotel has it all. Great staff, great location, well appointed rooms, so many different activities to take advantage of, or also a fabulouse place to stay and enjoy the great Georgia hospitality I could go there again and again.
This is by far one of the most eclectic hotels in the southeast. Nurtured on the Savannah River in a restored electric power plant, this property blends old and new in a way that awes. The rooms are spacious, and each building has its own character and charm. Staff is super friendly and engaging. The property has multiple rooftop bars, open air restaurants directly facing the river. The art and museum quality displays are worth the stay alone. The style is classic. This is a must stay in in the area.
Arriving at the JW Marriott Plant Riverside Savannah you are greeted by great valets - shout out to Michael- and offered a glass of champaign and a box of Byrd's cookies at check-in. The hotel is an amazing array of colors, design, and exhibits representing the fossil fuel era used to fire the old power plant that this resort used to be. Watch the hotel films on the tv. You will notice details and exhibits you hadn't noticed before throughout your stay. A life-sized dinosaur hangs from the colorful and cavernous lobby ceiling, huge geodes on display, old brick walls and smokestacks remain. There are two rooftop pools, children's water pads, multiple restaurants, roof top bars, live entertainment along the riverwalk every night, plenty of shops. You never have to leave the resort unless you want to visit the historic sites. All the employees are incredibly nice and helpful - we especially enjoyed DJ, a porter with a great personality who always greets you with a smile!…
From the moment of our arrival, Renee greeted us warmly and efficiently taking care of all my needs. The box of Savannah cookies were a delicious bonus, thank you, Renee! She’s a true jewel at your reception desk! Our room was beautiful, with a magnificent view of the riverfront. Dinner at Stone & Webster was superb. Michael, the manager, remembered us from a previous visit six months ago! The service provided by team Konty/Caroline was excellent. Both were friendly and so knowledgeable about their product. JW Plant Riverside, with its great location, large rooms, and numerous amenities, is our new favorite in Savannah.
We felt spoiled and completely taken care of by Matthieu, Curtis, Shawanda and the entire team at the hotel! The food was wonderful, the lobby breathtaking, our room was spacious, and the customer service was incredible! Can’t recommend this resort enough! ♥️
Fantastic time at the JW. We really didn’t even need to leave the hotel but it was easy to do so. Matthieu greeted us and made us feel like celebrities. We were able to check into our room early and had a great water view. The Electric Moon was SO fun as was Myrtle and Rose. As we departed, Shawanda was swift to bring our car around. High recommend!
