This was probably the worst Marriott I’ve stayed in in years. The shower was dirty when we arrived. The TV was not In a location that could be easily watched from the bed and when we asked to borrow an umbrella they had none and instead wanted to sell my husband single use ponchos for $2 each. He brought them up and I said it’s not raining too bad let’s just return them. Well the managers refused to refund us the $4 despite them still being in the package. Al in all a bad experience. Would not recommend.

The entire staff was kind and professional! Marie is the Concierge… and she is sooo amazingly friendly and helpful! (I think she should be the next Mayor of Savannah). The “land and sea” tour package is one heck of a deal, too. Highest personal recommendation!

Great location for walking and shopping as River is 5 or 6 blocks away and there are squares everywhere that are historic. The room is nice and decor basic. The valet parking is very pricey the only drawback. The breakfast isn’t fancy but good start to day.

Excellent all around! Very clean and spacious rooms. Housekeeping was great. Great location, within walking distance to historic sites. Fantastic breakfast with lots to choose from. Staff was very friendly. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at SpringHill Suites Savannah Downtown/Historic District for 4 nights in October 2023. The hotel does not provide any safes inside the rooms so we left our PC, earbuds and smart watch on the table inside the room. On our last day and just after check-out we realized that we did not have the watch with us and that it was inside the room. We informed the hotel who claimed that could not find it but that they had find a charger, i.e. the charger that goes with the watch. We went through the entire chronology of our stay at the hotel and concluded that the only place the watch could be was inside the hotel room and that (i) either someone stole the watch while we were still staying at the room or (ii) someone stole it just after we checked out. The hotel does not want to take any responsibility and claims that the watch is nowhere to be found. Moreover, the hotel refuses to respond to any emails despite several reminders. We have requested that the hotel share the record of all key cards used to access our room while we stayed there. Still no response. We should have read through previous reviews on this hotel before booking because then we would have known that thefts are common at SpringHill Suites Savannah Downtown/Historic District. The hotel is also extremely rundown. There were stains on the couch, there were broken tiles inside the shower, and the desk carpet was dirty and full of stains. And the breakfast was the saddest breakfast we had seen, everything is served in plastic and there are basically five choices: eggs, sausages, bagels, porridge and waffles.…

Our first time to Savannah & we stayed at the SpringHill Suites. I first have to give a shout out to the front desk staff as they were all very helpful and pleasant. There was one young lady that stood out from the rest though, her name is Saleah Jenkins. I hope you all get to meet her when you stay here. She was always helpful, gave us great tips & was exceptional. I hope the manager of the front desk staff sees this and realizes what a gem they have working for them. I really can't say enough. Second the location for walking everywhere was wonderful & so easy to figure out. We loved not having to rent a car for our stay. Easy walk to the City Market & The River Walk. Third I must give a shout out to the breakfast staff. Ladies you did an excellent job each and every morning. I have been other places where it wasn't so nice and this was a pleasant change. They were professional and kept things full and spotless. We didn't use housekeeping, but when we did need something they responded promptly. If we ever return to Savannah we would stay here again for sure. Thank you again, one and all for making our stay with you so wonderful. …

This hotel was not even close to Marriott brand standards. As a Titanium for Life Member, I have stayed at Marriott properties all over the country 170+ nights so far this year. The room was in terrible condition. I emailed the GM of this property TWICE….zero response. That’s why I am now writing my review. The restaurant is closed on Sunday and Monday….that should be made very clear when booking a room. The front desk was aloof on multiple visits. I have called the hotel three times this week and the phone rings and rings…and then cuts off. I am not sure how this hotel continues to carry the Marriott (Springhill) name.

Very nice hotel conveniently located for easy walking. Room was spacious and I liked the idea of having the toilet in another room separate from the shower/sink. Front desk staff was great - extremely helpful and always cheerful. They don't do housekeeping daily which we were fine with. We did run into housekeeping the first morning who asked if we needed our room serviced so that was a nice touch. Room is desperately in need of more hooks or towel racks! There was one hook and one towel rack for three people. Breakfast was good though the powder eggs got old after a few days. We were really hoping that we might have bacon especially since it was a Saturday but it was sausage. We loved Savannah, the people and really enjoyed SpringHill Suites and hope to return next year after they've updated the hotel (and added hooks and bacon 😀)…

I gave it 3 stars because the room is spacious and feels new and comfortable, the shower is great and they quickly supply you with extra of anything you need, (towels, toilet paper). It looks like they clean well between guests. But...during my stay, the room was not serviced even when I politely asked for it. During a stay of 10 nights, , it was serviced 3 times, only because I complained. The breakfast is sad. Some milk was expired, the croissant I tried was all dry... the coffee- very weak... The cherry on the top: they charged me with 2 days of valet parking, while I didn't even had a car... Pay close attention to your hotel bill. I told them about the wrong charge at the checkout, and promised it will be removed. It wasn't. I called them and asked it to be removed- it wasn't. I called again and was told the manager will look into it... I really hope it doesn't have to go into dispute...…

This is a decent place to stay for a visit of Savannah. The location is great and it's a walk's distance to a lot of the spots such as Plant Riverside district, Congress St, Forsyth Park etc. Nothing out of ordinary about the hotel itself. Everything pretty much "meets expectation", which is not a bad thing since we came here for the city not the hotel.
