Manayunk Chambers Guest House is a charming and beautifully kept gem just seconds from Manayunk’s Main Street. Mark, one of the owners, and pastry chef extraordinaire, made our stay so warm and personal, it felt like visiting an old friend! Mark’s background as a pastry chef is a true gift to anyone who stays at this inn- I didn’t know my love for croissants until Mark! From the art on the walls, to the comfy beds, to the delectable breakfasts, the stay was perfect. We will surely be back soon!!!
Manayunk Chambers Guest House doesn't need my review to persuade prospective guests that it's one of the best places to stay in Philly, but I'm happy to add my hearty appreciation for everything Innkeeper Mark does for his guests. My husband and I stayed three nights this May, and we surely will return two or three times per year. During the several years we've been visiting family in Philly,. we've stayed at three different hotels around Rittenhouse Square, as well as two different airbnb's near Rittenhouse Sq., but this guest house is better than any of them. Comfortable bed, clean and charming bath just outside our room which, as Mark said, was "yours and yours alone." His garden, lovely. I especially admire his vounteer projects for his community. Second best of nall is that, unlike other guest houses that say they provide snacks, beverages for guests, Mark reallllly does, and the snacks are fancypants best chocolates, nuts, and the wines and coffees are also top notch. And very best of all, breakfast. Mark is a gen-u-ine professional baker, as in up at 4 a.m. making the best croissant you'll find this far from the Left Bank. …
Our stay was special from beginning to end. The facility brings you back in time, yet has all the modern-day conveniences you want and need. The location is walking distance to shops and restaurants. And, breakfast is quite delicious!
never even heard of the neighborhood took a shot host was great breakfast was wonderful a charming site the place just works and is perfect if you want something different than a hilton The morning bakery basket which you could take with was a real bonus
The rooms are beautifully decorated, with a touch of whimsy. Mark makes wonderful breakfasts and pastry, with an attention to plating one rarely sees outside of fancy restaurants. It is an unexpected pleasure to explore Manayunk, with its hilly narrow streets.
