We had a fantastic stay at the AKA Rittenhouse Square over the Memorial Day weekend. The location is excellent - it is right on the park that is Rittenhouse Square, and in the middle of a popular shopping and dining district. It is also a very pleasant walk to all the museums in Philadelphia and the old town.
The hotel itself is really modern, clean and with rooms that while they are not spacious, are really well appointed. What made our stay stand out was the service by the team - in particular Wister who was incredibly accomodating with our requests, and so friendly and helpful.
We made good use of the gym - it is on the small size but perfectly functional. We also had a fantastic dinner at a.kitchen the first night we were there and the food was really excellent, and they had a well selected and interesting wine list.
We would definitely stay at AKA again when we return to Philadelphia.

We booked a one bedroom apartment for a week and we were upgraded to a two bedroom apartment that was amazing. The service and welcome were outstanding from the check in (when Gerta explained how to make the best of our stay at AKA) to the check out (when Wister kept our luggage safe and welcomed us in the common areas while waiting to go to the airport). Paul was also incredible as he came promptly to resolve a problem with wi-fi and printed out our tests and documents for travelling. The room itself was beautifully furnished with a fully functioning large kitchen and its own washer/dryer. There was an area for working which was fantastic as we had quite some work to do. We had a view of Rittenhouse square which was lovely, but this also came at the cost of noise from outside: AKA is in the middle of all activities, parties and fun. It gets quieter during the working week, but I suggest higher floors and a room not overlooking Walnut street if you do not plan to join in the parties. The apartment had its own (very fast) wi-fi which was password protected. I enjoyed the library on the last day and there is a large gym which we also visited. There is no doubt we will consider AKA for our next stay both in Philadelphia and elsewhere. Last but not least: the a.kitchen restaurant at AKA Rittenhouse is fantastic: glorious food and splendid service (the chef made something that was not on the menu for us!). I miss it all already.

I have been living at the AKA Rittenhouse since early August '21 until now (March '22), and it has been an amazing experience to date. Coming from Europe, I am used to there being a good selection of furnished apartments for medium-term rent, but was disappointed to find this wasn't a thing in Philly. But finding AKA was a blessing.
The rooms I have (1 bedroom) is spacious, with a nice fully equipped kitchen, separate living area and bedroom. Furnishing is of good quality and well maintained, and the bathroom is recently renovated so works well. Living here on a longer term basis still gives me access to the facilities, and I can have room cleaning / dry-cleaning services from the hotel section of the building as well, which makes life much easier.
The best part by far are the staff at the hotel. Everyone from reception, the maintenance staff to cleaning staff are kind, courteous and extremely helpful. For example, when I threw out my back, Paul the manager was kind enough to come up and help me put together an office chair I had ordered, no questions asked.
Overall, I can't praise the hotel / facilities enough. If you are looking for a medium term furnished / serviced apartments in Philly, look no further than the AKA Rittenhouse!

I spent 3 months (October 2020 - January 2021) at the AKA Rittenhouse and can say it was among the best long term pet friendly accommodations I have ever enjoyed and could not have picked a better place in terms of location, cleanliness of rooms/facilities, expert and most accommodating and professional service from the desk, housekeeping and all other hotel and restaurant staff. The team made everything easy and flawless providing for my needs during a challenging time in the most courteous and respectful way. The views of the Square; the amenities available within walking distance and by delivery; the nearby closed parking and the overall ambience of this lovely part of the city made my 3 months fly by and I can assure you, I am already planning my next stay there. In Philadelphia this is a treasure!

I stayed at the AKA Rittenhouse in Philadelphia for almost 6 weeks while waiting for my new apartment to be available. I stayed in a one bedroom apartment which was really spacious, newly decorated and comfortable. Cleaning service was provided once a week but trash pick ups, extra linens and towels etc were available easily through reception at any time
The location is amazing - close to many great restaurants, as well as having a great bar and restaurant attached. I have to also say that the reception staff were absolutely fantastic - friendly and accommodating at all times.
Would highly recommend!

Our suite was beyond compare—full living room with a fireplace, kitchen, bedroom. Exceptional suite. The location is terrific for walking. We were there during the pandemic and at least we had plenty of options for take-out meals. There is a market around the corner to take advantage of the full eat-in kitchen. Bathroom was large enough but our toilet was a little too close to the side wall for my husband and he thought the shower was small because it was in the tub (with sliding shower doors). I liked the ample counter space and drawers in the bathroom and it had a window for natural light. It was so nice to return there from helping our daughter move into her new apartment in Philafelphia.

Our stay at AKA Rittenhouse exceeded our expectations in every way possible. After arriving very early following a red eye flight, Zoey accommodated us a head of schedule allowing access to our room and much needed rest. The room was immaculate, the sheets and bed were extremely comfortable, and the enormous walk in shower has a gentle rain shower head. We had a beautiful view of the Square. An unexpected bonus was the lobby bar and restaurant, AKA Bar. The drinks were perfectly crafted and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. There was truly no need to leave our hotel. However, being so centrally located to the finest of restaurants in the city, we enjoyed walks around the square popping into the various restaurants. Being a Philly native, I can honestly say I would never stay anywhere else in the city. Thank

One of the most helpful group of people support their guests and the rooms/ location are incredible. Bathrooms are beautiful.
The restaurants and location the square make it a really unique experience and the small things like free umbrellas or calls to assist you with a car or groceries are fantastic.

We stayed at AKA Rittenhouse Square for 5 weeks, while I was recovering from heart surgery. We chose AKA Rittenhouse Square, an apartment hotel, because of its proximity to the hospital. Everything about our stay, from the moment we arrived to our departure 5 weeks later, more than exceeded our expectations!
The excellent staff customer service is outstanding! Everyone was friendly, professional, and committed to helping us in any way possible. The hotel is exceptionally clean, something that is of great importance to us. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment with a full kitchen. We were able to cook most of our meals and could walk to Mom's Organic Market and Trader Joe’s to get organic food. The hotel is located on Rittenhouse Square, so after my surgery we could safely walk in the park away from cars. Because of the hotel’s central location in a walkable city, we rarely used our car.
We were 100% satisfied with our stay and look forward to staying at AKA again –next time for a vacation!

My stay at AKA Rittenhouse was a wonderful experience - across the board. The moment I arrived I was welcomed by Front Office Manager Tony and his colleague. I had to park my car in the parking garage and Tony took my bag and placed it in my room for me and gave me extra creamers for my coffee! Tony and his colleagues were beyond friendly, helpful, accommodating. If you need a restaurant recommendation or directions- Tony will steer you in the right direction. You can tell they are happy working there and like what they do. The room was basically a one bedroom apartment. Attention to detail with modern finishes and decor, spotless, fully stocked kitchen, comfortable bed and pillows with pressed sheets. I have high standards and AKA checked all the boxes. It was so lovey that I actually went to the local Italian market and bought a bottle of wine and a few things to make dinner in my suite.
The hotel restaurant was lovely. Cozy, excellent food and service.
AKA is in a great location across the street from a park, a parking garage one block away, boutique shops, tons of great restaurants within walking distance including Di Bruno Bros gourmet Italian market.
I can’t give it anything less than 5 stars. I didn’t want to leave and I look forward to going back!

Yes. This is a full service hotel. Room service, housekeeping, towels etc. the lobby is rather unassuming and no valet, but the rooms are new and spacious.

Thank you for your interest in the AKA Rittenhouse Square. We do not have an indoor pool on-site, however, we do offer complimentary guest passes to The Sporting Club at the Bellevue and they do have an indoor pool.

Good morning -
The AKA Rittenhouse does not have valet parking on site. We refer our guests to the InterPark Garage, which is located near the AKA on Sansom Street (between 17th and 18th). There are special rates for AKA guests. Luggage can be dropped off in front of the hotel with our doorman prior to parking in the garage.
