Excellent staff and comfortable hotel Just checked out of the Monaco and had a lovely one night stay. Although carpets are a bit threadbare and the hotel could use a “freshening up” beds were so comfy, room was very comfortable and nicely appointed. Rochid at the front desk made the difference between a nice stay and my rating if 5….exceptional. It’s rare to meet employees in the hotel business these days who go out of their way to make you feel welcome and appreciated…. Rochid did just that. And Gregory at the bell desk was also so very helpful and welcoming. The attitude of such staff should be recognized and encouraged as it is a rare find these days and makes all the difference.

I used to travel extensively for work and have easily completed several thousand hotel nights. I can emphatically say that the hotel staff I encountered were THE NICEST hotel staff I have EVER experienced. From the late night security guard that was helping as the bellman, to the front desk and concierge, they were all effusively nice!! Even the housekeeper left a handwritten note in our room welcoming us. I will definitely stay in this hotel again. Not to mention the fact it has the BEST location. We could see the building for the liberty bell and constitution hall, right out our window.

On our first visit to Philadelphia, we stayed at the Kimpton Monaco Hotel. The hotel has two outstanding features - the location and the best concierge, Roshid Milledge. Roshid is an excellent rep for this property. We had a problem with our room and he was magically able to move us even though there was limited room availability. His professionalism, friendliness, and ability to get things done made our stay very memorable. Thanks again, Roshid.

Hotel Monaco is always a best in class choice. But beyond that is the service you'll receive! Front desk manager Roshid is the best you'll meet. He goes out of his way to ensure not only a comfortable stay, but that every guest is treated like family. We've been doing business there for years & they've never disappointed. The views of historic Philly are unmatched. Definitely recommend Roshid & his entire team at the Monaco.
