Great hotel, but it was a free for all at the breakfast buffet. If I hadn’t stopped by their complementary breakfast buffet, this review would have been 5 stars. Their checking and reception staff is on par with any 5 star hotel in the world. The room was incredibly clean and had impressive views. The breakfast buffet on the second floor was chaotic. The selection was minimal. I thought I was going to get elbowed in the ribs getting coffee. The hotel needs to improve this. I finally gave up and walked to the nearby Redding Terminal Market to get breakfast.
Very nice hotel in the heart of Philly- walking distance to Reading Market, Chinatown & the Old City...clean well maintained rooms and very helpful & friendly staff. Special mention goes to Ebony at the front desk for making us feel right at home! This is the only place I'll be staying at when visiting Philadelphia. A true gem!
Great location and the best customer service, truly! Every single staff member I encountered, from maintenance to the front desk to the breakfast area, was pleasant and greeted me. This is a busy hotel and the parking semi-sucks if you don’t prefer valet (have no fear there is a lot behind the hotel for about $38/night compared to $60 valet) but this is expected in prime downtown locations, not complaining. Back to the customer service, shout out to Marc and the ladies working with him this weekend (sorry I did not catch their names). Again, everyone was kind, professional, friendly, and most importantly, helpful! I hate hotels with a parking expense, especially valet only, but I wouldn’t think twice about returning. Housekeeping could pay a bit more attention to detail in rooms by wiping all surfaces/countertops and removing very obvious cobwebs from corners/window panels. But I’m sure if I mentioned any of this the team would have found some way to accommodate me. I was staying for one night and not concerned. Thank you for the hospitality!…
This hotel was great. The staff were very pleasant and accommodating. We had to call for fresh towels and coffee everyday. Housekeeping brought our items within five minutes of our call! The hot breakfast was delicious! There is no pool, but the rooms are very clean. I will stay here again.
A bad experience. We chose this property for a 2-day visit to Philly. We requested extra pillows and towels upon check in and they didn’t arrive until the next day after reminding staff two times. The women at the front desk lamented “We just have a lot of requests”. The configuration of the suite we stayed in was downright weird. Small. Awkward layout. The bathroom door barely clears the toilet. The shower leaks all over the bathroom floor and floods it. See picture of curtain in the sitting room that has what appears to be food or vomit on it. I’m really disappointed.
Rooms are small but efficient. This is a perfect location to walk to most of Philly's attractions. It is right near the market terminal which hosts many food stalls and specialty shops. Small kitchen is not really for cooking more for storing and heating up. Breakfast was adequate.
Stayed the weekend, family of three. Room was great. We had a studio with a pull out sofa for our teen son. Would have been much better if the bed was a king instead of the queen. Bathroom area was small, but worked out. Kitchen area was nice. Hotel was clean, staff helpful. Breakfast provided many choices, but the sausage was ice cold and we chose to walk down the street to Reading Terminal Market for breakfast on our second morning. Best part was the view from our room of city hall and Love park in the distance. We were on the 8th floor.
Great location!! Walking distance to most attractions. Entire staff was friendly and accommodating. Breakfast buffet was clean and tasty. View from our room was breathtaking. Will definitely stay again next time we visit. Thanks for making our vacation so pleasant and memorable!!!!
Very good stay and I'm pretty happy with this hotel. Clean room, with just enough space -- not too cramped even for a hotel in the central business district. The room I received was a corner view and had a nice view towards the east of skyscrapers and the rest of the business district. When I arrived, the hotel was extremely busy, with lots of people checking in. I was worried when I pulled around the corner and saw cars double or even triple parked outside the hotel. But when I pulled up and got the attention of the valet, he quickly told me that it was okay for me to park there and he quickly assisted me with my luggage. Fantastic valet service and worth the price.
This hotel is in the perfect location. We were here for several days and walked to everything. We walked to our theater for a show and dinner close by. Many excellent restaurants within walking distance. The rooms are large with a sofa and full kitchen. Ii was thrilled with the large fridge. I was able to shop at the Reading terminal market (also walking distance) and keep my purchases cold and fresh until we went home. The room was clean and the staff at the front desk and valet could not have been nicer. They were very helpful in navigating the city. Would highly recommend this place. The breakfast was a buffet with hot and cold food. You could sit at a table or take back to your room. Great view from our room
