My whole stay was great. Check in was quick and easy, my room was crazy cool with a spiral staircase up to a secluded study area loft. Massive windows looked out onto independence hall and a park next door. The bed was comfy, room was quiet. The smart tv, coffee machine, and washer/dryer were all put to very good use. Not to mention that the building is insanely beautiful—lobby is like 30 ft high with the beautiful patterning. Even if you're not staying, you gotta take a look at the lobby! Overall I had a really great stay and will definitely be coming back the next time I'm in town.

I booked a loft with a view to the park for my partner's birthday. It was beyond what the pictures advertised. The unit was clean and included anything you needed for your stay (coffee, linens, soaps, dishes, pots/pans, utensils, and more). The property is decorated well. We immediately regretted that we were only staying for one night. In addition to the unit being beautiful, the check-in process was easy. Finally, the location was perfect. We could walk to restaurants and bars. We will return!!

My daughter and I were meeting in Philadelphia to celebrate her birthday. I lived in Phila many years ago, and she's never been, so being a history buff she wanted to see that side of Phila plus to see my side of Phila.
The Mint's booking process was very easy, and on my two phone calls before our stay the csr was very courteous and helpful.
The location was perfect, right across the street from Independence Hall. And even if your in town not for sightseeing, it's only a few minutes walk to City Hall, restaurants, center city, and the Market St subway.
The price was amazing, near the low end of what was available for the weekend in center city.
The building is a rehabbed 100 year old building, with lots of marble, woodwork, and cool features.
The room was incredible for us: A huge loft, with brand new full kitchen, including a dishwasher and w/d, large living room, and spiral staircase leading to a very large loft bedroom. One of us slept downstairs on the brand new sofa couch, the other on the loft, so we had some good separation. Large window and great light and everything freshly appointed added to the appeal.
As great as the room was, the service and staff might even had been greater. Everyone was super nice, courteous, professional, friendly, and helpful. Any request was quickly made, from more coffee pods to holding our luggage after we checked out. The Mint House "gets" customer service!
I frequently come to Philadelphia, and usually stay closer to center city or on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, but the Mint House will be my new first choice.

Amazing location right near the independence hall and the Liberty bell. My sister, husband and myself were delighted with that aspect of the property. The property was visually appealing and the kitchen and bathroom in particular were of high quality.

However the stay itself was not comfortable firstly because of the thermostat which was hard set to uncomfortably hot making for two nights of bad sleep. The uncomfortable main bed mattress (it was over soft and made plastic crumpling noises every time we moved) plus the sheer discomfort of the sofa bed (iron bar across the mid back region meant we put it’s thin mattress on the floor) made for an uncomfortable two nights.

Nadia at reception was as helpful as she could be, she provided us a missing towel and blanket for the third person as soon as she was asked. But she could not solve for the thermostat or provide us any fans for circulation or open the window.

Stayed here as part of a wedding group of attendees. Some rooms are small apartments but contain all the conveniences of a hotel - extra towels, toiletries, tissues, tp, coffee and tea and a coffee maker. Decor is urban chic so if you are looking for colonial cozy this is not the place for you. Stayed in a loft room and the only drawback is that the bed is upstairs (only queens available, no kings) and the only bathroom is down winding metal stairs. Not great if you had to use the facilities in the middle of the night. The room is spacious with a nice living area (there is a sofa bed but we never pulled it out to see if there were sheets on it). The common areas leading to the rooms could use some renovation as there is linoleum tiled floor no carpeting leading down the hallways. The kitchen is outfitted with everything you could want if staying for an extended period of time. Down side to staying here is that there is no parking available. They do give you the addresses of 2 lots but they are 1 1/2 to 2 blocks away. We were given the address of a lot within a half block by our wedding host. Not sure why Mint House doesn't tell guests about this lot. And there doesn't appear to be someone to take your luggage from the car while you go to park - since we were only doing an overnight we went to the lot and just tolled our overnight bag to the Mint House. If there is someone to take care of your luggage they do not communicate this to the guests prior to arrival. Communication with Mint House could be better. Everything is done by text so it is a little cumbersome to find confirms, price info after you register. And they require a face photo and a copy of your license...I am not sure why as you have already supplied a credit card. This part of the registration process seemed unnecessarily intrusive.

Took a small trip to Philly for my bday and I really liked this hotel! It felt like I was living in an upscale apartment after exploring the city, and I think that really elevated my experience. The complimentary nespresso pods were awesome, and I loved the dual detachable shower head in the regular shower! My nitpicks would be that the smoke detector kept chirping because the batteries needed to be changed, and I did mention it to Mint services but they did not fix it. I also would have appreciated more water bottles as they only give you two. Some of the towels and pillowcases as well had some stainage from maybe makeup or lipsticks as well, but I understand it’s a hotel and other people frequent, so I’m aware some stains just don’t come out in the laundry. Other than that, I would recommend staying here in Philly since it’s somewhat in the center of everything and it’s very much better than your average hotel room!

Their cancellation policy is very high risk for business travelers and anyone that is subject to any unforeseen or exigent circumstances that could unfortunately affect your travel plans. I stayed with SoSuites at the Ledger once before and was very enthusiastic about their location because its is in very close proximity to my workplace and I commute from out of State weekly. On this occasion, the first of many planned weekly stays (15+ over the course of the summer); my employer redirected me to Alanta late Friday for the following week; the same time I had made reservations with SoSuites; I contacted SoSuites to cancel my reservation within 48 before check-in and they quoted their Cancellation Policy and refused to refund the prepayment of the full amount of the planned 3 night stay. Upon contacting their customer service, I received this reply: "...,Regrettably, the reservation is not refundable. If a guest cancels after making a reservation, they will be charged the full amount of the reservation and we will uphold the cancellation policy" So be uniquely aware of this should you decide to book with this location and this business. If you are faced with unforeseen circumstances and in my case a exigent redirection by my employer, your cancellation means nothing to them as they are going to retain 100% of the prepayment of the reservation and as a matter of routine, they will uphold their policy and not provide for any exception. MY ADVICE IS DONT; unless they revise their cancelation policy to something that isn't such a poor business practice that totally disadvantages the traveler to mitigate their risk and cost of doing business.

We were celebrating my husband’s birthday.
Once we found public parking (because parking is not included) we attempted to check-in.
There was major confusion during this process! The staff member didn’t tell us (nor write down) the room number, only that we were on a certain floor. We called the front desk & found out which room to go to only to be stopped by a resident and notified that we were trying to enter Her room! The staff member reassured us that it was our room, however 30 mins later (after settling in) we had to gather all our things and move to another room because we were given the wrong room! The staff member did help us with our belongings but still…
There were two times that our room keys did not work for us.
The couch was not comfortable. The cushions were very thin and the couch made noise every time someone would sit or move on it.
The windows were paper thin and we could hear ALL the noise from the city streets (traffic, vendors, etc), not to mention dance music from a nearby club. For two nights, we had a horrible time sleeping!
The decor, layout, appliances and price of the room was nice but the incompetent staff and cheap/old windows made our stay very unpleasant.

Overall it was a good experience. The two gentlemen who worked the front desk during our 24-hour stay were both exceptional. Check in and check out were easy, the location was excellent and, for the most part, the apartment was very nice. We stayed in the 2-bedroom at #319. The sofa was extremely uncomfortable, rendering the living room lounging area rather useless. The wifi signal was terrible, and it took several phone calls before we were given a new network and password to log into. There was no ice in the freezer, and none was available in the "hotel" which seemed odd. Also, the shower tub did not drain, which made showering while standing in several inches of water unpleasant. A few easy improvements would make it outstanding. We loved having a washer & dryer in the unit, and because 319 faces the interior, we did not hear any street noise.

Great location, safe, clean and within walking distance from public transportation. A history geeks dream location. WAWA in the building. My only complain was thin walls. For the sake people on either side keep your TV volume down and talk using inside voices.
