Hotel was right in the middle of everywhere we needed to be! Clean , super friendly staff - shout out to Jacqueline at front desk! Excellent follow up and again super nice. Breakfast was great - I’d stay here again!
Unfortunately not impressed. I think they are still suffering from the Covid closures and set backs. Almost everyone was new and not sure what to do and the food in the restaurant tasted like it had been frozen for 6 months. The bartender said he did not know how to make an Old Fashioned. The final straw was the hotel was not very full. I am a an ambassador level traveler and here is a pic of the view. Pigeon poop. I am big fan of Marriott and Bonvoy. But i had to leave and switch hotels.
We were attending a family wedding in Philadelphia and last minute booked 2 rooms at the Le Meridien Philadelphia Hotel. The hotel was sold out and the City was very busy . From the moment we pulled up out front the hotel staff was most helpful. Would like to thank their Excellent Valet team- Destinee and Stehpon for going the extra step and being able to find us a parking space in the Hotel's Valet parking lot. Check-in team was super helpful as we had arrived with several se-up items form a post Wedding Breakfast send -off the next morning. Special thanks to Jacqueline at the front desk who was very gracious and helpful in getting us 2 rooms on the same floor. Our post wedding breakfast went extremely well as the catering team lead by Joe was great. They had the Library set for the event and were excellent in setting out the buffet and taking care of our guests. ! Overall the hotel was very clean, all staff we encountered were friendly, courteous, and went the extra mile to make our stay smooth and enjoyable!…
Being a fan of the Marriott brand, this was our first time at the Meridian, having stayed at other Marriott properties in Philly before (probably 4 or 5 others), This is my new fave, Location is excellent, just south of City Hall and right next to the Christmas Market (which was due to start the day after we left, unfortunately). The room was very comfortable, as was the bed. We had breakfast twice, the options were varied (menu vs buffet, which I usually prefer) and the service was excellent. Only minor downside was that the bar was closed when we came back from dinner and a show. One more comment, This property has an amazing opportunity, There is an interior courtyard in the middle of the hotel that goes al the way up to the top floor, made of brick; looks beautiful. Unfortunately, it looks down to just an open space/floor at the bottom. If they could do something there, it would make this are so much more inviting.…
I stayed in Room 719, I had some small issues and the only thing I have to say is Habib J is the Man !!! From his hospitality, to him assisting me in my room with any issues I had, I’m just being the man himself.
