We found the hotel to be very nice and the staff courteous but it is traditional single rooms rather than suites. We had to ask for a mini fridge as I didn't realize they weren't included in the rooms. Beds were comfortable and the kids enjoyed our view of the airport runways to see plane taking off and landing.

Chose the hotel because I'm a Hilton Diamond and got stuck at PHL.

I don't expect much from airport hotels but I do expect clean & friendly. This hotel is neither. My room that had the gimmicky "Clean Stay" label on the door had a soaking wet bath mat hanging over the tub, and a half-drank bottled water on the desk. Disgusting. I was so tired after a long American Airlines maintenance delay that I didn't want to complain and just wanted to go to bed before an early flight the next day.

Lots of marijuana smoke smell in the hallways and unruly low class guests, cursing and yelling in the hallway. Bar was quite busy downstairs. Room was OK, nothing special, HVAC worked well, bed was very comfortable and the pillows were good.

In the morning the front desk guy (night auditor?) was rude and unfriendly. So was the van driver back to the airport. (The van driver that picked us up was great though).

I told him I tried to do the checkout on the app and he says "You can't our system is down, the housekeepers will figure it out" He had his pants hanging down somewhat too "sagging". Wearing jeans at the front desk. You get the idea.

I would stay again in a pinch for a low price, but not for any other reason.

Too bad hilton has such poor options near PHL vs. the attached airport Marriott.

Waiting 45 mins to get picked up at the airport, from a hotel that advertises 2 mins away. Is unacceptable. Asked on checkin for a refrigerator, also advertised on their website, were not available. Upon finally getting to my floor, looking down the hallway, I was shocked how dirty it looked. Upon opening my door to my home, the unkept appearance continued.

So not to be negative on the whole experience, the linens and bed were probably the most comfortable I’ve experienced in a long time.

This place needs “a good pressure cleaning”, cleaned up and renovated, maybe the staff will take a little more pride if they see some improvements.

I don’t want to make this too lengthy, but in short I brought a few clients to this location solely based on how close it was to our activities for the weekend.
The reason my rating is not one star is because they allowed for an early check in… although when you don’t clean the rooms well who cares when you check in?

Upon entering the room I was shocked to find no refrigerator. When I asked the staff if one could be delivered to our room (I stayed at this location exactly a year ago and had one) I was told they no longer provided microwaves or refrigerators due to Covid. So how come when we were deeper into the thick of it I had them?

Secondly the staff didn’t seem understanding at all and almost happy with themselves to tell me that instead of a personal refrigerator, I could give them my food to put in a community fridge where I had no idea who touched it or where it went. So an entire hotel staff is going to keep my food safer than it being in my private room? It was very frustrating because while I understand that’s what they’re told to tell us, Hilton really seems to patronize it’s guests with blaming inconveniencing your guests on Covid.

My shower curtain was tattered and torn and was desperately in need of replacing and the shower wall still had clumps of hair and soap scum covering the entire surface. (But no way I’ll catch Covid in a humidity filled shower) I can’t speak on if our duvets were washed but the lack of cover was unsettling because they didn’t necessarily feel that way.

Keep in mind this is all while being a Diamond Hilton member on the “honors floor” which we were informed by staff was “absolutely identical to the other floors”

Hilton has been very disappointing in the past year but I will say the only chain wide compliment I can give is that the housekeeping and custodial staff of some of the nicest most helpful employees of the entire establishment in almost every location.

That being said I am not a hard to please person and there are quite a few more complaints I have simply on the justification of a lot of things that I understand are out of some staffs control.

I’m sorry to say this may very well be my last Hilton stay. I am done.

First of all, it was extremely overpriced and the drive to the hotel is filled with potholes and we had to pay for parking extremely far away. The front desk person said we would have a continental breakfast which I guess means that we have to pay $20 for a cup of coffee and two bowls of cereal. Front desk guy asked us if we wanted turndown service, we said yes and we never got it. In our room by the mirror on the wall opposite of the bed had a bloody handprint and blood splatters all around it.

No hot water for shower, many channels in the tv not working, overused beds. When we told the front desk agent he was surprised that we weren’t notified that hot water wasn’t working when we checked in. The only solution he had was to waive the parking fee. Hello, something basic as hot water to shower with should be available or waive our Entire stay at your crappy hotel. This is not the double tree standard I am use to and this hotel really dropped the ball.

It's a hotel that is 15 years past needing an update. The staff seems incredibly confused about when the airport shuttle runs, and where it picks guests up from at the airport. I was shocked at how many times I received the wrong information, and from multiple front desk staff, which means this wasn't a one-off or one employee who wasn't trained properly: it means that most of the staff isn't trained properly. In general, the staff wasn't very friendly. On the first day, a staff member gave a quick tap on the room door and then entered without waiting for a reply, despite the fact that the room was assigned (as clearly demonstrated by the broken Covid-cleaned tape on the outside of the door). After that, I was sure to lock all of our belongings in the safe (which was locked from the previous guest and had to be opened by the hotel to begin with, demonstrating a lack of thoroughness by housekeeping when turning the room over from the previous guest).

Given how many other choices there are, I doubt I'd stay again. In general it would be sufficient for a one-night stay before an early morning flight, but I have to believe there are much better options next to the airport.

Check-in was fast and painless, we came in on Thursday. This was a quick trip planned months in advance. I wrote in my notes when I booked that I would like a higher floor, that request was not granted. When we got to the floor the halls smelled like weed. Yes this is a non smoking hotel. I asked to be moved but I was told that there was no King room available. By day 2 of my stay I asked for house keeping, just to clean the garbage and clean towels. I can make up my bed myself. I called 3 times no answer, I seen house keeping across the hall and asked if my room could be clean and she said "she will let them know" no one ever showed. I had to go to the manager and when I came back to the room clean towels were put in the bathroom however the pile of dirty towels I left for them to take was still there. Garbage in room and bathroom still in room. Complaining to the manager didn't make any difference. They charge $13 per night if you park with them but the level to "secure parking" area wasn't working and no sign was even placed to let people know. This will be my last time staying in this hotel. I'm very disappointed.

This DoubleTree stay was a disappointing experience. The staff experience overall is a mixed bag; some of the front desk staff were kind and professional and some immediately retreated to the back office leaving the front desk abandoned. There was a constant line during the morning hours so any questions we had about the hotel/amenities were left unanswered since either no one was there or there was only one person available. The shuttle driver that picked up from the airport was neither welcoming nor kind. The driver that picked up from the hotel bound for the airport was pleasant and very helpful. The room while dated had a leak from the air conditioning unit at the base of the window so the floor was wet which we didn't realize until the next morning. This would explain the mustiness of the space.
The tub had multiple chips in it and looked like it had seen better days so my family opted out of a shower for the day. The restaurant (no room service available) offers breakfast buffet which we skipped since the environment looked drab and dingy. For the same amount of money there are hotels in the area that offer a better stay, cleaner rooms and shared spaces with a consistent helpful staff.

Yes. In the hotel. But as stated in the review it was lackluster for the price. I didn’t pay attention to anything else near by. I am certain there are other options.
